Campus Tour

Ophion was ready to go, having been called in only a few minutes earlier. He stepped into the mostly empty admissions office, and it wasn't hard to figure out who would be there for a tour - there was only one person sitting in a chair at that moment, and they were young enough that they were probably knew.

"You the one waiting for a tour?" He asked, pulling his hat off and giving the boy a little bow before popping it right back on his head.

Well... so much for the tour. Ophion stood where he was, listening to the radio's quick summary before turning back to the boy. "Well, tour's cancelled - we need to get people evacuating up to higher ground. That means you, but it also means whoever else we can run into." He said, stepping into the hall and hoping the boy would come with him. "The island - the whole thing, really - is supposed to have wardings, but they're not working, so we can't count on anything in the school protecting us either. You've had poor luck arriving now." He spun in place, scanning the horizon before he settled on the mountains, and then pointed them out.

"We'll need to get as high as we can as fast as we can, and we're going to need to gather up whoever we can."

He'd been on the island long enough to be familiar with the general workings, and he could only shake his head. "There's not supposed to be tsunamis at all - the islands magically defended. If they've failed or whatever, it means we don't have backup shelters hanging around. We'll need to head to high ground the old fashioned way, or find someone who can get us there faster."

He could only shake his head at the mentions of a 'Maddie'. "Not anyone I know, no. We'll have to hope they can find their way out."
