At this very precise moment, as their little group neared the small clearing where they could set up their tents for the weekend, Bel was thinking how bloody brilliant it would have been to have a pocket dimension or some power that could carry their gear for them. She had forgotten about that little detail when her and Sprinkles spoke about it during the week. It wasn't like she hadn't been camping before, she was just used to others carrying her stuff for her.

When they finally reached the clearing that had some tall trees and dense bushes surrounding most of it, Bel dropped her backpack with her rolled up tent and sleeping bag and other camping stuff to the ground, and sat herself down on top of a stump.

"Finally, we made it," she exclaimed, rather relieved that they had found the place with little trouble. They only had gotten lost once - they had taken a right instead of a left - and the fact they had noticed and were able to turn around and find the right path again was a tiny miracle in itself.

Sprinkles already regretted his decision to come on this trip. Having to carry supplies, walk through the woods, and let himself be surrounded by dirt as he slept was going to be awful. He deserved to be living the high-class life, yet he willingly threw himself into something like this.

Okay, that was too dramatic. Being surrounded by friends made the more grueling parts much more enjoyable. Having to carry a few heavy things and live a bit dirty wasn't going to ruin his peppy exterior either.

When they finally arrived, Sprinkles dropped his backpack down and let the rest of him drop down too. Dramatically laid across a stump, he let out an exaggerated groan, hoping to lighten the mood a bit with his drama. "I didn't expect camping to be so tiring. I'm a city boy surrounded by nature. How will I surviiiiive?"

Its been a long while since she was last outdoors like this... and with friends no less! When Patty was sent off to detention, she never would have thought it would have led to Bel inviting her along for camping. She used to being hated and socially awkward so being out like this was... a very new but very exciting experience! Even while they where lost Patty happy dragging her pack along trailing behind Bel and Sprinkles.

"Oh good on ya! Now we wont be having to be setting up in bloody dark now~" chimed in Patty as she waddles up to the clearing now laid before them.

While Patty was familiar with Bel during their brief stint in detention, she was surprised when the sheila had approached her about this camping trip. After Bel went through the trouble of explaining what camping was, Patty felt like it was thing to do with people whom you felt close to so when asked she was a bit hesitant at first. But this trip also gave her a good excuse to get to know Bel more. That and get back out into the outback once again! It was almost like being back home again... except with less crocodiles and sharks.

Sprinkles on the other hand was someone whom she was bit less familiar with. Their little dramatic display at first left her puzzled before she picked up that it was just them being a bit of goof. But was the way Sprinkles presented themselves, as being very colorful person in both that literal and figurative sense. She like him though part of her wonders if they tasted anything like ice cream. Or maybe the colorful display served as warning, sort of like the poisonous fish of the sea. Perhaps she should ask him about it sometime?

"Crikey. Ya flat out like a lizard drinking water. Ain't been out in bush before mate?" chortled Patty, wheezing bit with each chuckle "Well ya got us so no need to be carrying on like a pork chop. Ya will make it through long as ya gots us." assured Patty as she sets her pack down to unload the belongings she brought for the trip.

As Bel was reaching for her water bottle, she stopped midway and listened to Patty. Her Aussie sayings were, quite frankly, hilarious. And to think their teacher had thought she had known Welsh.

Every time Bel thought of that she started giggling. It was an absurd notion on part of Irso, but one that had worked out well. Bel had found Patty to be engaging and funny, and had bonded rather easily with her.

"Sprinkles just likes to exaggerate," Bel laughed as she looked at him and grinned.

"And don't you worry, city boy, you've got two lovely country gals to wrestle the badgers and raccoons, catch fish, and make fire," she said teased as she pulled a lighter out of her pocket.

Sprinkles wasn't good at Australian slang, but he understood the gist of what Patty was saying. Both Patty and Bel reassured him that he'd be fine with them, to which he responded with, "Perfect. I can lay around and do nothing. You two can do all the hard stuff."

Of course, he was only partially-joking. The less work he had to do, the better, but he still needed to contribute. Since Patty was unpacking her bag, Sprinkles took out a water bottle and a bag of jerky from his. After that walk, the taste of water was amazingly refreshing.

"Also, don't brag about being able to make fire when you're using a lighter. And remember, I'm a cat. I'll be great at catching fish. Probably. Hopefully."

"Yub!" croaked the mergirl in response to Bel's comment. Patty then turns her pack upside down and rest of her camping gear spill out. While the basic essentials such as the tent and sleeping bag where there, there was some miscellaneous items that Patty had brought along. Things like a pack of rubber bands, chalk, a small nutcracker doll. Whatever her reasoning to bring these things only she would know.

"Oh! Errr... how are ya suppose to catch fish without one of these?" questioned Patty as she then points to the lure hanging just off her her forehead. "Like uh... you know... bring them in close enough to be able to catch them with yous mouth?"

"Shush," Bel grinned as she looked at Sprinkles and winked, "Don't give my god power tricks away," she remarked jokingly as she flicked her lighter twice, demonstrating her ability to make fire. "See, of course, I can make fire, I didn't specify how I do it though," she added as she put the lighter away.

"Uh, I think that we have to throw the line and the hook in the water, wait a while and the fish bite the hook?" Bel explained, not exactly too sure but willing to give it a shot, as she glanced at Patty, concerned she was putting the hook too close to her face.

"Technically," Sprinkles started off with a purposely annoying tone, "the lighter is making the fire. It's not coming directly from you... unless you're pyrokinetic and haven't told me yet."

The topic had moved onto how fishing work. Sprinkles was new to the skill of fishing and even newer to the idea of someone using a lure on their head to capture fish. "My idea was to use my hands and teeth. I'm haven't learned how to use a fishing rod, but it's similar to your lure! It's how humans fish."

"Huh... but your teeth are so small." remarked Patty, wondering how anyone could catch anything without long pointy teeth such as her own. "But... I guess we can figure out fishing thing after we get our tents right and up."

While everyone works on their own thing, Patty pulls out the components of her small 1 person tent and lets it all fall out onto the ground. It was cheap, one person tent she found at discount store when she was asking around on where she could a tent for camping. The person that sold it to her assured her that it was easy to set up but even with the instruction she found it bit clumsy to get the poles through the little hole. After a few minutes she finally had her small tent all set up. Patty stands up and rests her hands on her hips, beaming a toothy smile as she managed to the whole thing up all by herself... only to watch the tent comically collapse on itself.

"Ah bullocks." mumbled Patty as she strokes her chin, trying to figure out where it all went wrong. Patty then looks to see how everyone else is faring.
