Nyota told her life story and although Varvara felt bad for her Nyota didn't seem to want pity. So she kept her face blank. Varvara had never thought her life had been hard and hearing Nyota's story even further backed up that belief.
"I know you might not want my pity but I want to say I am sorry for your hardships nevertheless, Nyota."
Varvara said and smiled gently. If Nyota wanted to be mad at her for these words then so be it.
Varvara looked at Nyota's hand intrigued when she reached it out. But when heat started radiating from it she backed up a few steps. Varvara wasn't good with heat and when a ball of it formed above Nyota's palm she wasn't so sure she was that intrigued by it anymore. It was beautiful, however, and Varvara looked at it with wonder. Even though the heat made her uncomfortable.
"That is a wonderful ability Nyota."
Varvara smiled and was relieved when she made the miniature sun collapse.
"It sure is much more wonderful than mine, I would guess."

"If you knew that I wouldn't want your pity then why the hell you go about pitying me anyway?!" demanded a frustrated Nyota. She didn't need nor want Varvara's sympathies! Just was just telling her her story and she didn't need to be made out as some poor frail thing whom deserved applause because of the bad hand she was dealt with.

"I don't need you to paint me as victim... I'm stronger than have to rely on some tragic backstory to earn respect." grumbled Nyota as her right hand clutches on the bicep of her left arm... or what remained of it. She momentary look away from Varvara, her face in pout as she looked to some distant trees. Varvara may have been well intention but... god did her words grate her the wrong way.

After Varvara commented on her abilities, Nyota let out a huff and turned back to face her.

"Glad you like the light show..." mumbled Nyota, then sighed realizing that she should just let Varvara's words go. It was exhausting to stay mad over something so trivial.

"What... what exactly is your own power? Make it rain?" said Nyota in jest... trying to lighten up the mood. That and she was curious as to what powers a rain nymph might possess.

"I guess...I pitied you because I think you needed it."
Varvara smiled gently, Nyota was a strong person. But Varvara knew a lot about people and she knew Nyota had challenged her. She had wanted to see how Varvara would respond to her. Well, this was Varvara's answer.
"I already respected you when you called me a dork, I do not need to know about a person's past to respect them. And your story only confirmed to me that I respect you. You are strong Nyota, but pity is not something to avoid. It only shows that I care what happened to you, that I am sorry it happened to you. But I am not sorry for what it made you, for what you are now, and neither should you. Because the you right now is the one I respect."
Varvara wanted to touch Nyota but she knew now was not the time. So she merely tilted her head and sent a smile to Nyota. She turned away.
"I shall not apologize for my pity. It is mine to keep, and yours to bear."

Light show? Is that what Nyoga really called that blazing ball of heat? Well, Varvara had and hadn't enjoyed it.
"I did enjoy it, it is a powerful ability. But I am quite bad with heat."
Varvara chuckled a little.
"And yes, I can make it rain. I can turn to fog, control a bit of water and freeze it. And then I can lull people into trance with my singing and predict the weather."
Varvara made a slow spin.
"And today I must turn into my ethereal form and collect rainwater so I can live another month. The rain is almost upon us."

Nyota gave Varvara a... peculiar look. She was still a bit miffed over her insistence that she still pity her even after admitting her respect and admiration for how strong of person she is now. Nyota studied Varvara for moment before she lets off a shrug.

"Herm... damn straight I'm strong!" chuckled Nyota, flexing her bicep in jest before continuing the conversation "Dunno why would care about someone you just met in the middle of the woods but... sure. I don't appreicate the pity party but I can respect you for sticking to your guns so... how about as long as you respect me then I will give you the same respect in return... capeech?"

Afterwards, Varvara remarked upon her ability. While it seems powerful... to Nyota it always felt like she just had a oversized light bulb floating around her. Varvara's own powers seemed remarkable however... though the idea of her singing voice making someone fall asleep didn't sit well with her. Mostly because it reminded her of sirens whom she still had a slight mistrust over. Other than that, her rain powers and turning into mist sounded really cool though part of her questioned if she could really predict when it will rain.

"Really? Cause I don't think it rain for another-" as Nyota said those words, she felt fat droplet fall onto the back of her hand. Looking up she could feel another drop... then another. Then it began rain.

"Ahhhhh.... FUCK!" cursed Nyota as she reached down to close her sketchbook and tries to hide it under her shirt... as if that will offer much protection.

Varvara stood firm before the peculiar look Nyota gave her, on her face her usual pleasant smile. And felt a bit relieved when Nyota shrugged. Then she chuckled when Nyota proclaimed that she was indeed strong.
"I am quick to care, I do understand that, but I am slow to let go. In fact, I will never stop caring. I myself do not know the reason for this."
Now it was Varvara's turn to shrug, and then she grinned a bit.
"But I am glad to hear you admire my determination, and are willing to give me your respect. Thank you Nyota."
Varvara sensed the first rain drop before it fell and she moved under a tree with thick branches and many leaves. She wanted to talk just a tiny bit more, before she would possibly forget. But even a tiny drop of rain was enough to transform her. It would not be long.
And just when Varvara moved under the tree the drop fell on Nyota and made Varvara chuckle.
"Do not doubt rain nymph's word on the broadcast. How about you join me under here?"
Varvara smiled and turned to look at the rain falling from the sky.
"Even the smallest drop is enough to transform me. So our time is short."

"Ehhh... yeah I guess I should have seen that coming..." admitted Nyota as she shimmies her way over to the tree next to Varvara. Typical she thought that she would somehow jinx herself the moment she questioned the rain nymphs weather prediction. She figured she would have had a bit more time before the rain started according to the weather report she say yesterday... instead she was going to be stuck in the rain... without an umbrella.

"Well there is such a thing as caring too much... you should be a bit selective with the people you associate yourself. You never know whom would use that good nature of yours against you... myself included." warned Nyota, speaking from her own experience growing up. A lot of people go about saying that we should build bridges and not walls but its always those people whom are the most vulnerable to people will ill intentions. Build building is important yes but so is a few walls to guard oneself.

"So one drop of water is enough to transform you? So you will become something like a cloud I assume? Also is it just rainwater or will any little drop of water cause you to turn?"

Varvara chuckled a bit as Nyota came over to her to hide away from the rain. It wasn't falling down that hard yet but Varvara knew it would really pour down in a minute.
"Even my predictions go wrong. If I must predict the weather a month from this day I might have predicted the rain is two hours from now. I am not perfect. But I do recommend you prepare to get quite wet. The rain is only going to worsen, and continue for hours."

Varvara understood Nyota's concerns. She herself was aware of the risk. But she just was how she was.
"I know that, but I cannot fight against my nature. I care for people, I care for their health and safety. I have been used before, and I have been kidnapped. Well, people have tried to kidnap me. I always escaped. But regardless I am unable to change. I don't think I wish to change. I like this me, the me that wants to be kind and help. As long as I can do good it does not matter to me that I can also be used."
At the end Varvara smiled and shrugged, content and sure in her words.

"Yes, one drop of rainwater makes me change into a cloud of fog in the shape of a person. Any water does not change me, just rainwater. I like taking bubble baths, especially if I can have a rubber duck with me."
Varvara grinned and pressed herself tightly against the tree trunk as the rain slowly but surely got stronger.

Nyota just, couldn't quite get this girl. Was there just something about being a rain nymph that she has to go out of her way to help others even when she admitted that she had several kidnapping attempts against her? Someone tried to kidnap herself she would have just fucked off with the whole damn planet. Heck, escaping from her captors might be more a game to Varvara if anything. It would be difficult to contain mist after all.

"Well... that helpful nature has already gotten you with several kidnappers... I'm surprised you can still trust people after all of that" admitted Nyota. She then turned her gaze briefly to the clearing, watching the rain pick up more and more in its intensity. It was starting to look like their time was going to be cut short soon.

"Errmm.. well if there is nothing that I can say that can change then I guess just... take care of yourself? There are plenty of people whom would take advantage of you and unlike the outside world... people are well more aware of people having powers so if you do get kidnapped... you might not escape so easily. Just saying. There was a whole incident of a lot of people being kidnapped like...6 or 8 months ago. Caused quite a scare though... they were all eventually found."

Sheesh... why was she caring so much for this girl anyway? They only just met and here she was chastising her like a concerned friend of something. This island really has made her go soft... everyone around her say its a good thing but... caring for others just seemed exhausting.

"Bubble baths huh? I myself prefer boiling hot showers... though... a rubber duck? Seriously? What are you like... 5? Dork~" teased Nyota as she gives her a playful jab with her elbow.

Varvara felt honoured and happy that Nyota was kind enough to be worried about her. She smiled at her and turned to look at the rain. Any minute now.
"I trust because that's how I am. Like the rain can't help falling from the clouds I cannot help trusting others. Such is the way it goes. But you are kind, Nyota, to be worried about me. I appreciate it immensely, thank you."
Varvara turned to look back at Nyota and smiled gently.
"I may not be a strong person but I am resourceful. I kept myself alive thus far, alone. It is nice to know I have people who care for my fate."

Varvara laughed and her laughter mixed in with the sound of the raindrops. She didn't return the jab but she grinned a bit playfully.
"Yes, I guess I am a dork who likes rubber ducks and playing with bubbles and talking with kind people in the rain."
Varvara chuckled and suddenly gasped a little when she felt a small raindrop land on her arm. Varvara looked at the spot, and immediately she started turning to fog legs up. Varvara smiled at Nyota one last time.
"It was enchanting to meet you Nyota. Please leave my clothes how they are. I shall retrieve them la-"
Varvara's words were cut short when she became completely made out of fog and her clothes dropped to the ground.

"Kind?! Ha! Isn't how I describe myself personalty... I prefer an honest asshole who tells it as it is but... your welcome I guess. Maybe if you stick around with me long enough you can get a better judgement of my character." remarked Nyota. She listened to Varvara containing to talk about her kindnesses. Just as she was telling her about leaving her clothes be, Varvara suddenly vanishes before her eyes.

"Oh shit! Okey ummm... yeah if you can still here me... I'll leave you be so that you can... get your clothes later." Nyota then starts to get up, staring at the visage of mist that was Varvara.

"Okey so... I guess I will you be so... I guess I will see you when your... pull yourself together."

Once she has all of her things collected, looked at where Varvara once was, then thought it was weird that techically she was looking at naked and thought it was best to leave before the rain got any worse.

"Alright so, bye." piped up Nyora as she hurries herself out from the forest and back to school.

((seems like a good place to end, wondering RPing with you EMI :P))
