Calm and Storm

"I guess it's not a bad aura," it had a calming affect which wasn't a bad thing, and it had helped him sleep, cleared his mind. "And I can't really blame you for something you can't control," she seemed like a nice girl, pretty too, so at least he woke up to someone friendly.

He'd blink in surprise at her honesty, that certainly wasn't the answer he expected. "Immortality....I have a longer lifespan than humans...so I get that a bit." The young dragon would let out a thoughtful hum, looking her over.

"Well....thank you," he'd say, being genuinely grateful, it'd been kind of her. "So, what were you doing out here?" he'd ask before chuckling a little, "besides helping grumpy dragons."

"This island....its a good place," he'd say with a nod, "a good place to be." It was home to him, even if he occasionally missed Alaska and his family home there. "You'll figure it out....find a place here." It seemed like a haven for outsiders, for the supernatural who had no place to go.

"Praying to gods?" he wasn't one to worship another being, the very idea of it was strange to him. "Well....lots of gods here...and children of gods, so whatever gods you pray to are probably real." It seemed like pretty much everything exists, especially here on Manta Carlos.

He'd glance around. "Can I walk with you?" she seemed nice to talk to. "I don't pray...but..talking to you seem nice." The aura was a factor, but he'd still find her nice to talk to.

Eein would blink in surprise, glancing at the wing as it wrapped around his shoulders. It felt nice, warm, usually he'd be against a stranger doing something like that, but between her being nice and the aura he decided to leave it.

"Uh....there's this nice clearing with a spring not far from here." The dragon would lead her in the proper direction, taking a trail her knew. "So...how long have you lived here?" he'd ask, wanting to chat as they walked, not wanting things to be quiet, might get awkward.

"Are you student?" she looked as though she could be in high school, or maybe in college. "I'm in high school at the academy.".

He'd continue to walk, not minding the wing around his shoulders, it felt nice. "Yeah, it's a nice spot," he'd nod, "its peaceful, the water is always nice and cool." Indeed explored the forest quite thoroughly, finding all the best spots for relaxing or hunting and camping.

"I was homeschooled too," he'd say with a chuckle, "coming here, switching to an actual school, it was a bit weird." His life had been quite isolated before coming here, living deep within the Alaskan wilderness away from everything.

"Are you liking it? The classes that is," her being in remedial meant they wouldn't have any classes together. "Actually....what do you think of the island as a whole? There's a lot to it...I can show you around if you ever need any help."

"Yeah the spring is really nice," he'd agree, "it's good to drink from, there's a good swimming spot nearby, I think they both come from the same water source." He loved the woods and everything in it, it was basically a second home to him.

He'd nod. "Yeah, we might have some classes together eventually," he wasn't completely sure how the school handled people with the various types of immortality. "You look....eighteen or so? Hard to say with the immortality though."

The dragon's nose would twitch. "I can smell the fresh water now.....also a family of rabbits watching us from the bushes." He'd decided against hunting any members of the rabbit family, he wanted to leave them in peace.
