Buttercup isn't that tall in her humanoid form and only reaches 135cm. Her body is curvy, muscular and mostly like human's but she has larger and more muscular thighs and less defined calves, longer and bigger rabbit feet that have only three large toes and paw-like hands with pads and four fingers(has a thumb). She has black claws on all her fingers and toes. Buttercup's body is covered in light gray short fur that's lighter around her eyes, snout and on her chest and almost black at the tips of her ears. Buttercup has brows, that are basically two thin lines of darker fur above her eyes. Buttercup has a small poofy tail on her lower back.
Buttercup basically looks like a humanized rabbit. Her head is round and a bitbig in comparison to the rest of her body. Buttercup doesn't have any hair, instead she has two large ears. Buttercup has to large, round black eyes with dark eyelashes. She has a slight muzzle, rabbit-like pink nose and mouth with large, sharp front teeth. Buttercup has chubby cheeks with no whiskers.
In clothing Buttercup appreciates a tomboy-ish style with baggy clothes that are easy to move in and can get dirty. She is a big fan of denim overalls and flanel shirts. The color scheme of Buttercup's closet consists of mostly earthy colours such as brown or green but she also likes the colour orange and yellow and throws those in too.
Buttercup doesn't use shoes and if she has to wear some kind of footwear she uses gaiters.

In her rabbit form Buttercup is just an average sized Netherland dwarf rabbit with fluffy, light gray fur. She is quite small and only weighs about 2kg. Her fur is still short, but silky and fluffy, and Buttercup's floppy ears almost reach her paws.

Shifting: Buttercup can shift between her rabbit and humanoid form at will. In her rabbit form Buttercup is just a normal mini lop rabbit.
Extended Lifespan: Buttercup will live for around 150 years.

-Enhanced Senses: Buttercup's sense of smell and hearing are on par with those of a rabbit, and though her eyesight is as good as human's she can see twice as far as a normal human and sees in the dark.
-Speed & Agility: In her humanoid form Buttercup's maximum speed is around 40mph and she is very bendy and has fast reflexes.
-Herbivore: Buttercup can only eat plant matter and if she digests meat she will get serious food poisoning.
-Prey Instinct: Buttercup instinctively knows, how to preserve her life most effectively and avoid predators and danger. Buttercup can sense dangerous situations, is the master of stealth, can measure how much of a threat someone is and can even read the most likely next move her assailant will make.

The beginning of Buttercup's life was like any other domestic bunny's. She was born into a litter of Netherland dwarf rabbits in a pet store somewhere in the US, and was sold after 3 or so months. Buttercup was sold to an aspiring illusionist, who admired magicians of old and had the repertoire of tricks to go with that. He cut people in half, made doves appear and, of course, pulled a rabbit from an empty hat. And in this case Buttercup was that rabbit.
Buttercup lived a good life, munching on carrots and lettuce in a comfortable cage whenever she wasn't being pulled from a hat. But little did she, or her owner, know that the magician had real magic powers. But they had nothing to do with illusions, they had to do with plants. The magician was poor, as you could expect, and grew his own vegetables to feed Buttercup. Whenever the magician grew a plant he unknowingly used his powers to make it grow faster and bigger and it had magical properties. And that magic slowly seeped into Buttercup, as all she ever ate were those magic packed vegetables.
The magic caused Buttercup to acquire sentience when she was around 3. This very much confused the young bunny, naturally, when she suddenly saw the world around her in a whole different way and even experienced emotions and developed her own unique personality and mindset. Buttercup tried informing her owner of her newly gained sentience but all her attempts were in vain, and she just continued being the magician's rabbit.
Around year later Buttercup and her owner were performing for yet another basically empty hall when something strange happened. Buttercup shifted into a humanoid form in the middle of the trick. This was a shock for both Buttercup and the magician, and they were able to flee the stage before anyone saw them. Or so they thought. In actuality the only person watching the show had woken up from their nap just in time to see Buttercup shift into her humanoid form. They started telling the story to their friends and acquaintances and it spread very slowly, so the scouts only caught wind of Buttercup about a year later. After her sudden shift Buttercup kept living as the magician's rabbit, though she tried to help around the apartment when her owner was gone in his other jobs and she learned how to talk. Buttercup, with assistance from her owner, also took over tending the small garden the magician had on his porch.
After a year or so living in her humanoid form Buttercup was found by the academy's scouts. They showed up to one of her owner's shows and confronted him about her. Buttercup shifted willingly to her humanoid form, and the scouts took her into custody.
