<div align=center>Boring. Everything was boring and Levi wanted someone to entertain him. Or at least someone to bother until they got angry and left. His fingers tapped idly on the table, dark eyes flickering over each face in the room. Boring. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly. The boy let out a long, drawn out sigh, eyes flickering shut and tail drooping sadly behind him. It was at times like this he wondered if acquiring a significant other would do him any good, no. He decided. It's easier without one. He didn't need to be tied down, Levi wasn't all that good at staying with one person, he got bored far too quickly.

Books. He'd come in here with the intention of studying, but studying was for losers and it was much funner to pull the librarian's tail - quite literally. He was no where to be seen though and the incubus didn't feel like moving. Levi supposed there was always his room mate to harass, but after recent events he decided he better let the boy have some peace and quiet for a while. His eyes snapped open again as someone pulled up a chair opposite him. The room was busy, Levi guessed there wasn't much choice in places to sit down. Studying the boy in front of him, the demon's face lit up. Finally, a pretty face.</div>

It was oddly busy in the library that day, which Ashton was not particularly thrilled about. There were students in every aisle of books, and every table was occupied by at least one person. There must have been some big tests coming up in a few classes…he knew that was the case for himself, at least.

Normally, he would have checked out a few books and immediately returned to his room, especially on a busy day like this. However, on this particular day he just needed to do some small fact checking in one particular book—and it seemed like a waste of time to bring it back to his room if he could just glance over it rather quickly in the library.

So with one book in his right hand, and his little hellhound, Kerberos, tucked under his left arm (because the little jerk was trying to eat some of the books), Ashton set out to find a table. He passed by a couple of tables—one was full, another full one, one was nearly full and he didn’t want to sit next to somebody, the students at that table gave him bad vibes…he finally found a table where only one student was sitting. Right away he thought Levi looked rather…devilish, but it seemed like a better option than any of the other tables.

So he sat across from Levi, without a word, as he placed the book on the table and Kerberos in his lap. For some reason the hellhound just loved to shred up paper, so he couldn’t trust him anywhere else.

Opening up the rather large physics book, Ashton started glancing through the table of contents.

<div align=center>Levi's face lit up as his eyes fell upon Ashton's face. Bingo. He was an attractive boy, there's a word for this kind of person. His brow furrowed a little, flicking through his brain to pull the right word out. Nerd. Perfect. How cute. Levi on the other hand, couldn't care less about studying, he'd barely been to any classes, thinking about it. He didn't like school, it was boring and he lost interest at an alarming pace. Lessons were useless to him anyway, he didn't even know what he wanted to do as a career. Maybe I should think about that at some point.

His dark-eyed gaze then shifted to Kerberos, is that what I think it is? He almost laughed, but it's so tiny. Levi of course, was familiar with the species, coming directly from the fires of hell and all that. His father had owned one, or so he remembered. A nasty, vicious creature that as a child, Levi had been altogether very frightened of. Things changed as he grew though, all bark and no bite. Even I'm more frequent to biting than that thing was. He wondered if this one was anything like that one. "Hey, kiddo, that little guy is almost as cute as you are."</div>

Ashton paid no attention to the boy sitting across from him, and had assumed he paid no attention to Ashton. So, he was caught off guard when Levi spoke to him.

"I...what?" Ashton said as he lifted his head--unsure of what he just heard. Was that a flirty remark or did he just mishear?

Ashton didn't have much time to think about it, because Kerberos suddenly leapt out of his lap and onto the table. He scurried over the physics book and dashed toward Levi.

"Ah-!" Ashton reached to grab his little hellhound, but before he could, Kerberos was suddenly gone...because he leapt right into Levi's lap. The three heads looked up at Levi with some playful yapping--his tail wagging like crazy. Apparently Kerberos REALLY liked Levi...the demon boy probably reminded him of home.

"O-oh god..." Ashton muttered as he buried his face into his hand in embarrassment. "I am SO sorry!"

<div align=center>The demon boy leaned forward a little and smiled, a flirtatious little smile that could probably have melted even the coldest of hearts. The boy seemed to not have caught what he'd said, either that or he was so surprised that he hadn't even realized what Levi'd said. Judging by the look on the cute boy's face, he assumed that it was most likely the second option. That's so cute, he giggled, something took him by surprise all of a sudden however when the tiny Hellhound sped across the table and pounced square into the middle of his lap. Levi paused for a moment, before shaking his head and laughing.

The boy sitting across from him had turned beet red as Levi found himself affectionately scratching Kerberos behind one of his ears, "you're cute, y'know? My daddy had a doggy a little like you, he wasn't very friendly though." He made a kissy face at the little dog and giggled again. "Hey, dude, it's cool." He answered, picking the creature up in his arms and awkwardly handing him back over to Ashton. "I guess he's just? Real excited to meet new people." Levi hadn't really tagged onto the fact that it was because he was a demon.</div>

“Th-thanks. Sorry…” Ashton murmured, apologizing again as he took Kerberos from Levi’s hands. Ashton put Kerberos down on his lap once more and pressed a hand down on his back so the little hellhound couldn’t escape again. Kerberos growled irritably at this.

“You said your dad had one…?” Ashton asked. He obviously wasn’t fazed by this—just as he obviously wasn’t fazed by Levi being some sort of demon. He had been living on Manta Carlos way too long to be bothered by someone being a demon or their dad possibly being Satan for all he knew. He was just curious.

“Your dad’s was much larger, I’m sure?” Ashton asked before picking Kerberos back up by the scruff. The tiny Pomeranian-sized hellhound wriggled in his hand.

“I have no idea why Kerberos always appears this size…it’s weird, right? A Cerberus should be a massive beast.”

<div align=center>"Don't be sorry," Levi laughed, leaning forward and propping himself up on his elbows. He nodded when asked if his father had one, and again when asked if it was larger. "Nasty creature, mind you." Levi ran a hand through his hair, frowning just a little. "Not as good natured as this little guy, you must have trained him well. I had a few nasty run ins with my father's dog," he didn't elaborate though, Levi didn't feel like talking about this right now. He supposed that was true, though. Ashton's hellhound was strangely small, but Levi thought he liked it better that way.

"C'mon, he's cute." A charming little grin crossed the boys face, eyes settling onto Ashton's. "You've got a pretty face, I didn't catch your name though." He lifted an eyebrow, "I'm Levi, but uh- I'm probably bothering you, aren't I?" The slightest of frowns turned the corners of his lips downwards. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to." He leaned back in his chair and let out a soft, bored little sigh. Irritating the boy was probably no way to get him out of his pants, Levi was awfully talkative and that could either be seen as a good thing, or exactly the opposite.</div>

Ashton glanced down at Kerberos when Levi mentioned he was ‘cute’.

“In a way, I suppose…” Ashton replied. “And at least he can’t cause much trouble at this size. Though I am trying to figure out if there is any way I can summon him at a larger size…”

Kerberos let out a little yip before Ashton lifted his head and pushed his glasses up.

I-um..no, you’re not bothering me…”

Normally, Ashton would have probably already been gone by now. As of now, however, Ashton had been convinced that he really needed to just try and talk to some of his fellow students. He had been at Starlight Academy for nearly his whole life, and yet did not really know anyone in particular that he would call a…friend.

He wasn’t really sure what to make of this particular student seeing as he was calling him…pretty?? But, well, he was here and was actually talking to him, so…

“If anything, I probably need a break from studying…” he murmured as he closed the book in front of him. “…if I’m being completely honest with myself. And, ah, my name is Ashton. You are…?”

<div align=center>For a dog, at least, Kerberos was cute. Dogs weren't Levi's thing altogether, he was more of a cat person and dogs - especially larger ones - tended to make him feel a little wary. This one was friendly enough though, and his little wriggling form made Levi laugh rather than feel frightened by it. "Maybe you just need to work on it." Levi was lazy with his powers, himself, besides, they never really needed any real work. Levi's powers were mostly based on his age, and as he grew older he'd be able to do more things with them. By the time he was sixty he'd likely be more or less completely unstoppable, but he wasn't even nineteen yet, and adulthood was a long way off for him.

A break from studying? A small smile crossed the demon's features, "I'm great at taking breaks," he purred, "in fact I'm pretty good at slacking off in general." He wondered how often this kid had his nose in a book. Levi could read, sure, but why read when you could not read? "Levi." He answered, when asked for his name. Levi was a social butterfly, more or less. He loved people.</div>

“I’m very much prone to…forgetting breaks,” Ashton admitted with a shrug. “To the point of teachers telling me to stop studying.” Which he thought was terrible advice, by the way. Get out of the lab and get some fresh air, Ashton. You’ve been in the library for 9 hours, Ashton. You’re in enough classes this semester Ashton—you don’t need to add two more and an independent study.

Funny how all those came out in Professor Torix’s voice in his head. Like it was any of the acting teacher’s business.

But still…he was already out of study-mode after Kerberos decided he really needed to be best friends with Levi. Maybe it was time to take a break.

Ashton leaned against the back of his chair. “Maybe I should go swim today. Do something physical instead of mental for a while…” he murmured to himself.
