Private Burn it into your brain

Titus stood in the middle of one of the power training rooms, waiting for his next student. Thanks to his position as a scout, Titus found it easier to occasionally take on students for individual lessons since he could only devote so much time to a full class. He usually went out of his way to offer this service to those students who had a bit more difficulty controlling their abilities.

This was one of those cases to an extent. Titus also wanted to assess the general level of skill for this particular student as well so he'd know how best to help her moving forward. He rubbed the back of his neck, these rooms were a bit too small for him to just full on transform in comfortably. He did wish he could just show his students exactly what he was as their teacher though. A human form didn't quite encompass the fact that they were learning from a fire dragon. He focused back onto the task at hand, waiting. His student would likely be arriving shortly.

"Introductions of course. I'm Titus Drakenhardt. You can call me Titus, or if you must Professor or Mr. Drakenhardt. I'd like to know is how you would describe your abilities," Titus said without skipping a beat. "I already know what your file says about your abilities, but what do you think? I like to hear it from the students."

He had a pleasant look on his face. Keeping himself at ease tened to go a long way for students. Most people would describe him as a "chill" teacher.

It was a genuinely impressive display. In terms of control, Titus had to admit she seemed to have a very good grasp of her flames. Still, everyone was here for a reason, and he was going to take this first session to get to the bottom of that. Most people with a few exceptions could generate and manipulate fire. How it was done was usually the key.

"Then I suppose the question is then, what are these weird details. You definitely don't need much help with your technique. I'd say that's exactly where it should be for someone your age."

"Oh, so that's it," Titus nodded, understanding more now. These were feelings he knew and understood all too well. Although the way things sounded, Adelaida's flames had almost a will of their own. As opposed to Titus who was simply hardwired to be a bit more aggressive.

"Well, I hate to say but that little guy's gonna find that desk is virtually indestructible. That said though, I understand that feeling all too well. Never truly goes away either. You just gotta know how to manage it. And finding good ways to manage a destructive ability can be pretty tricky."

"Lemme guess, you just burn things as an outlet? That can help sometimes, but that's not always a viable option. Even with my work as a field scout I can't necessarily just burn everything down to rescue someone," he rubbed his chin then almost went for his pipe before remembering where he was. No smoking on campus.

"I feel like this almost goes without saying but this is your power, regardless of how you got it. It's inside you and as such it's yours to command. You might just have to... establish more dominance. Fire isn't just a destructive force. It can purify, provide warmth and comfort, give light, and of course cook food. Managing how you utilize your abilities could ultimately help with curbing the urges in the long run."
