All things considered, Jude was of the opinion that his dad was taking it fairly well. He'd half expected him to grow wings and fly out the window, but he was keeping cool.
He was more in control then Jude was used to. He was used to Adraxis-Basilio, but this was... just Basilio.
He liked him better this way.
Jude caught himself smiling despite himself.
"Sorry," he said, "I just didn't want to worry you. But I'm fine - just a bit sore, alright? I'll be better in no time. I'm just going to take a shower and get some of the grime off."
Blood notwithstanding, he had been rolling around on the ground, and there was no getting around the fact that it made him more than a bit messy.
