Wait, what was she doing? The place he was standing was now covered by webs. Was she making a web? Eli heard spiders did that in order to catch prey, did that make him the prey?

Quickly, he dashed through a gap in the structure. Standing a fair distance away, he watched the construction of the web. It was obviously a dome, with the pod in the center. She must be protecting the home, He realized. Did she see him as a threat?

Regardless of whether she did, Eli kept a fair distance between himself and the web dome.

At the moment, she didn't see the creature as any form of threat, since it didn't try to harm her or her pod in any way. As far as she knew, it was just a curious creature. She watched it as it scurried away as she was building the dome, and was almost sad to see it go. She was starting to grow fond of it, but she didn't have the resources to keep it functional for long.

She completed the basic support structure, but she would need to refill her tanks to finish it all. For that, she would either need organic matter, or the right kind of raw chemicals. Not a high likelihood, but perhaps a good start.

Creating a few more webs to close off the larger entrances, she scurried off to find something that would help her replenish her chemical reserves, first being water, so she followed followed the faint sound of running liquids while keeping an eye out for any predators.

From his position, Eli clearly saw the Spidergirl leaving, probably looking for supplies of some sort. This would probably be the best time to leave, now that she was gone.

But he remained where he was for a moment, there was something Eli had to do first. Pulling out his phone once more, he took a photo of the Web Dome and the Pod. Just for posterity.

With the final picture taken, he began to make his way back to civilisation, wondering if he should tell notify authorities about it.
