Eli loudly sighed. If anything, the spider girl was making it hard for him to focus in properly with his camera. Again, he had to get closer.

At this point, he was practically at the tree's base itself. Despite the potential danger, he was curious. even on this island, it appeared very rare to see this.

Trying once again, he called out. "Hello? Can you speak English?"

The creature let out a loud noise, a possible summoning of its kin. She'd need to watch out or else... For now she needed to raise her energy before anything else. But it would be a good idea to keep an eye out for whatever the creature would do.

She made another smaller platform of webs, latched onto six or seven trees and climbed a bit higher, this time on the under side of the web, so she could recharge while her eyes were on the bipedal creature.

What could it be thinking?

Okay, so either they were entirely mute, or the Spidergirl was ignoring him. No matter, he'll just make sure he stays within eyesight of her.

Careful not to touch the webbing, Eli climbed the tree, and resting on a branch, continued to hold eye contact with the Spidergirl.

Her eyes followed the creature as it climbed up and just... stared at her. What could it be thinking? Was it sizing her up? It definitely wasn't being cautious of her, given that it was getting closer to her. It was kind of unnerving to be honest. Makes her think it was after something.

Only her head moved as she watched him sit down. Should she approach to see if the creature would remain close by? The only other outcomes would be it would lash out at her, or it would run away. On the first possibility, she has neurotoxins to neutralize it, on the second, she would have peace. If it stayed, perhaps she could study it.

Her mind made up, she slowly made her way towards the creature, still upside down and on the web slightly above the creature, making her movements not too quick to avoid startling it.

In hindsight, following the Spidergirl that just came out of a pod seemed like a bad idea, But Eli was going to stick with his decision, thus he stayed where he was, even as the girl made its way towards him, albeit slowly.

Perhaps it was curious again? His hand was still a bit sore, but hopefully, if Eli proved he wasn't a threat, maybe the Spidergirl wouldn't be so dangerous? The movement was odd, though, like a cat stalking its prey.

While it would seem like she was just staring at the creature, she was logging every detail she could get from it just by scanning what she could see without the use of her more advanced systems that have yet to be fully booted up.

After the visual scan, she wondered if the creature would allow her to do a more physical examination, or would it run off and let her charge? To find out, she would initially try to pet it on the head to show that she meant no harm, and also to register the texture of its hair, all the while checking what its reaction would be, whether she should continue or not.

This would have to be the strangest Staring contest he's ever done. Yet, he couldn't get himself to blink under the watch of the spidergirl.

He leant back a bit as she went to pet him on the head, tense as to what she could have done. He felt like a Cat, but stayed calm, not running away.[/thoth]

She could see that the creature was cautious of her, yet it let her touch its head. She couldn't tell whether it liked it or was just afraid to move. The creature would be able to hear a quiet "Hmmm..." from the android as her hand traced to the side of its head, getting a feel for the texture of its skin, how soft and warm it was.

Tilting her head sideways as she rubbed the creature's ears, she looked no different from when she was looking at it from farther away. It was just as if she was scrutinizing a puzzle.

A Robot half spider was rubbing the side of his head and was now touching his ears. How was he to react? Eli felt on display. But if he was going to run, he had lost his chance to do so. The creature would outrun him immediately.

What exactly was it doing? It turned its head. Maybe analyzing him? Either way, he should get out of here before anything less desirable occurred.

Intriguing... Her mind jumped back to her initial observation, in that the creature was very similar to her upper body. At least she assumed so. In her android mind, she had a complete model of herself along with the necessary information for her operations, but she never went to see her own reflection. That is, until she looked at the creature in the eyes and she saw herself mirrored back to her.

The model seemed accurate, correcting for the refraction and angles of reflection from a spherical object.
