Gabe had a boyfriend.
Gabe had someone on his side that wasn't Diego, someone that felt the same way about Gabe as Diego and who had stolen Diego's chance to be with Gabe like that. As more than just best friends. And that someone was the guy who had tased Diego in the balls, no less, though that was farthest from Diego's mind. At the moment Diego was too busy cursing the guy and imagining himself beating him up and strangling him and doing various other very violent things.
But it was all just in his head. Outside Diego looked like a dead man walking, the area around his eyes red from crying. And somewhere at the back of his mind Diego knew. He was the only one to blame that Gabe had been taken away from him. Diego had been the one to never tell the guy about his feelings, and had coverd for his spinelessness by making excuses about his life and father and the illegal stuff he did and such. When all along Diego had just been scared of breaking the balance, breaking their friendship.
Yeah, it was all Diego's fault. And now he didn't know what to do with all this shittyness inside him, so he did what he had always done before. Went and flew over a fence he wasn't supposed to fly over with a bag full of spray paints.

Diego knew that this was stupid and illegal, but he didn't have enough energy to care. He wouldn't get caught, he could fly, and this place seemed pretty deserted, it was the backalley of some big corporate building. And Diego was about to make the wall of that building a whole lot prettier. The wall was clean and almost begging to get tagged, and Diego would do just that. He found a perfect spot, dropped his bag and grabbed a can of black paint. He started to do the outline of a human being, huge in size, few meters above the ground. He already knew what he was going to paint, could see it in his mind. Diego could almost hear his dead father call all ths artsy fartsy stuff gay as fuck, but for once Diego's sadness covered it up. He needed this.
Diego was concentrated on painting, and thus was oblivious to his surroundings, which was pretty dangerous. He would only snap out of it if someone called out to him.

Estella was out and about mostly just scouting places for her next big mural she has been planning for some bit. She had been a bit distracted for the past two weeks but she finally found some time to start getting shit done. So here she was looking for a proper place to paint another masterpiece.

She already had a few places scoped out by the time she made it to this corporate building. Estella obviously couldn't tag the front or any other more public area of the place without getting caught. This building sucked a lot. There was secuirty in the front and shit, cameras, and just a bad location period. It was just another place she could mark off the list.

She eventually made it around the back and into the alley to at least to check that out before leaving. There she spotted some other guy behind the fence tagging the back of the building. Ballsy. He didn't even seem to notice Estalla waving at him. Was he...in the zone?
"Hey guy, you are like going to totally get caught back here." She called out to try and get his attention.

Diego was almost finished with the first human shape, in a fetus position on its back, when someone called out to him. Diego gasped from surprise and almost dropped the spray paint can, whipping around yo check if it was a guard and in that case he was ready to fly the fuck away. But it was just some chick, looked around his age. Or wait...
"Hey, it's the dudette with the sweet ride."
Diego said with a small grin and shook the can. It let out sharp clack sounds.
"It doesn't really matter if I get caught, as long as I get to finish this first."
Diego said with a shrug. He floated back on the ground and next picked up deep green paint.

Now that Estella got the other guy's attention she cou- oh wait. She sorta knew this dude. Well she met him like once at the community center and he seemed like an okay dude. It was great he at least recognized her even if it was just because of the hoverboard. "Yeah. That's me. Estella Motley here, hold the applause." She...laughed at her own joke.

"You didn't seem like the rebellous rule breaking teenager type. Then agaaaaaain we only talked like once." Estella just stayed on the other side of the fence since she didn't really feel like hopping it right now. Not yet anyways. She just stayed on her hoverboard and tried to peek at what exactly Diego was painting. "Whatcha dooiiin' anyways? This is kinda a bad spot you know that right? Easy to get caught and stuff."

Estella was able to get a chuckle out of Diego but as instructed he held his applause so they wouldn't attract any extra attention. He just began filling in the human shape with dark green paint.
"Yeah, I'm Diego. Diego Alvaro. For one night, and one night only."
Diego also snorted at his own joke. What a hilarious pair they were.

"I thought my rugged bad boy charm couldn't go unnoticed. I'm hurt."
Diego said with a small tired grin as he flew down and picked up other shades of green and brown, putting them in his pockets. It was kinda weird to just be chatting like this when Estella was on the other side of the fence, but Diego was feeling too meh to care.
"What I'm doing? Just something pretty fucking stupid."
Diego chuckled bitterly, he was aware that this was an easy place to get caught. Maybe that was the point, maybe this was just a call for help. Or Diego just wanted to pick a fight.
"But it was this or shoplifting and at least this leaves something nice behind."

"Bad boy charm? You've been watching way too many Tik Tok videos huh?" Estella laughed and then hopped off her hoverboard. She kicked it up, raised it with her foot, so she could grab it and hold it under her arm.

He was doing something stupid? Well doing it here was stupid but graffiti wasn't actually stupid. "Nah man. You are just expressing yourself....on the side of this building without permission. So only half of this is stupid." Estella put her board in standby mode via voice commands and popped the newly hoverboard turnes armband onto her arm. She then proceeded to climb over the fence and hopping down on the other side when she reached the top.

"I'm also a bit stupid sometimes." Estella walked over to Deigo all cool like before checking for any cameras which she didn't see. Nice, a blindspot. "Shoplifting is only fun if you do it with someone else...while high. Graffiti was clearly the superior choice." She got closer to examine what exactly what he was painting.

"Painting yourself?"

Diego looked at Estella with a slightly surprised expression. She wasn't wrong, but no one had actually called it that before. Expressing himself. It was always just vandalism to those who looked. Diego looked at the graffiti he was making and he didn't really see either vandalism or self-expression. He just saw...what he was feeling right now.
"The people who catch me here are just gonna see vandalism and a stupid kid anyway."
Diego said and shrugged.

Now Estella climbed the fence, and Diego could see she was checking around for cameras.
"There aren't any cameras here."
He said down to her before filling the last spot on the human figure with green paint. He floated down and threw the paint can in the bag.
"Well, you just basically trespassed, dude. So now you're stupid with me."
Diego said with a slight grin before floating back up and beginning to draw tree trunks within the human figure with brown paint.

"Myself? Nah. This is...someone else."

She gave a shrug to Diego. "It doesn't matter to the people who catch you. It matters to you I guess? If that makes sense?" She wasn't sure on how to really explain it properly. "Okay so they see vandalism but what do you see?" Look at that, Estella was trying to be all wise and shit like some wise graffiti sage.

Estella grinned at Diego and went to lean on the opposite wall of the one he was painting on. She simply watched him paint whoever or whatever he was painting silently for a bit. He could fly which made it easier for him to reach places without needing a ladder. Nice. Estella was a bit jealous but it was whatever.

From what she could tell so far was that he was painting a person. Well he said it was a person....just not a person with tree bits. "Sooo this a real person you know or are you like all go mother earth. Power to the plaaaants!" Estella paused for a moment and sorta thought over what she had said. "Not that I have anything against that. Plants are great... like weed." She snorted.

The way Estella sounded like some wise mentor made Diego chuckle a bit.
"You don't wanna know what I see. Trust me."
Diego answered, he appreciated that Estella was bearing him and he didn't want to start whining at her or anything.

Diego couldn't really laugh at Estella's joke, she hit too close to the goal. But he managed a smile as he finished painting the tree trunks and branches and moved on to the leaves.
"Yeah, plants are great."
Diego mumbled, bit out of it, and felt like crying again. But he'd rather die than cry in front of another person, and a cool person no less.
"Yeah, let's just say it's mother earth. Power of plants and all that."

She glanced at Diego briefly and the glanced back at the painting. "Nah, I want to know what you see. Trust me dude. I like art and shit. Even the stupid abstract art." Yes. Abstract art honestly 100% looks wack to her buuut she still enjoy just looking at the many different ways a person can just throw paint on a canvas. It was slightly cool. "Show me the vision or whatever."

She honestly couldn't just sit around like this. Estella needed to do something. "I can't fly and shit but I can paint whatever you need help with yeah? Just give me a can and tell me what you want."
