It wasn't so windy tonight. The sun had already disappeared behind the horizon, spraying its final blast of colors in the sky before disappearing behind a black canvas. The moon was out, big and bright, casting a blue glow to everything. The sea was deserted, as he had hoped. The waves were calmer, not so violent, gently splashing against the sand.

Dean laid down in the soft white sand, relaxing for a moment; just enjoying the peacefulness of the ocean and the shining of the few stars that were out. He propped himself up on his elbows, staring out into the dark depths of the ocean. Something about tonight felt like déjà vu to him. He thought about it long and hard, trying to figure out why on earth tonight felt so familiar.

That's when it hit him; it was the night he met her. The girl he'd been dreaming about so some time now. He just couldn't place her in his life until tonight. She hadn't been some girl of his imagination, she'd been real. He had a feeling she was more than an acquaintance, a friend or something closer even, but he wasn't at all sure. He hadn't even seen her around the academy, so for all he knew she really was just a figment of his imagination.

Dean sat up, punching the sand angrily before collapsing on his back once again. It was hopeless, the girl probably didn't even exist, and he'd probably just keep dreaming about her in the weirdest situations; going on some sort of hunt that he knew noting about. maybe it would just be easier for him to give up all hope. She didn't exist.

Selia didn't understand what had happened to her, or anything that happened about her day in and day out now. Everything was strange to her, everything felt different and she didn't understand. It all seemed like a dream, something fake, not real. She sighed, running her hands through her white hair.

She walked along on the edge of the water, not exactly touching it, but some waves managed to touch her bare feet as she went. She pulled the thin small blanket she had over her shoulders to keep herself warm on the chilly night. Her hair wavered in the breeze as she walked along.

She wondered why she remembered nothing. All she knew were faces, she knew faces but didn't know names. But she had remembered her name, and that she had remembered the academy, but that was because she had a little dream of it, and in it she had felt happy, but it made no sense to her anymore.

Selia glanced behind her, half expecting someone to be there, but as always, nothing was there, just more darkness. She looked ahead, and noticed a figure on the sand, but she paid it little mind as she continued her late night walk.

Dean groaned in annoyance, punching the ground once again, his fists sinking slightly in the sand. He wouldn't be able to let this go. He closed his eyes and there she was, always. He could not deny the fact that she could be real, that they have met. Faint footsteps could be heard slapping the wet sand not too far away form where Dean was laying. He turned his head to the direction to see who dare approach him at all, even by accident.

It was a girl, she had to be about the same age of Dean; a blanket wrapped around her shoulders and soft white hair blowing in the light breeze. He sat up in the sand, looking more carefully at the stranger. The face, the hair, it looked so familiar. Could it be?

He had to be dreaming.

Dean rubbed his eyes, even slapped himself to make sure he was wide awake. Could it truly be the very girl he'd been dreaming about? She was actually real? He quickly pulled himself up, brushing the sand off of his clothes, and slowly made his way towards the girl. He planned to go right up to her and ask her if he looked at all familiar, but the moment he neared her, his voice got caught in his throat. She was definitely the girl he'd been dreaming about. There was not way he'd be able to just straight up ask her, it wouldn't come out.

Dean took a deep breath, shoved his hands in his pockets and just said whatever came out. "So, is the water cold?"

When she heard footsteps coming towards her she stood stock still, and turned her gaze to look at the boy who appeared to be her age, but something was so familiar about him, but she couldn't think straight when she tried, everytime she tried to think of what his name may be, who he was, her head started to hurt and she could think of nothing. She lifted up her hand, as if wanting to touch his face as if it may make her remember, but she caught herself, and dropped her hand and took a step back.

He spoke, but she didn't seem to acknowledge the words for a moment. "Umm... cold... yes, it is quite." She said hesitantly, and felt a small wave touched her feet, but she didn't seem to notice it. She looked at the boy, her eyes looked confused, then she smiled, even if her eyes seemed a bit distant.

"I'm Selia." She said. The name felt strange on her tongue. She brushed a strand of white hair behind her ear, but it just blew softly in the breeze again.

The girl was hesitant, as was Dean. It had to be her, she even sounded like her. Their eyes met, and although hers seemed quite distant, he felt closer than ever. He could feel her name burning the tip of his tongue; it was driving him mad not being able to remember. Even in the dreams, any time her name would come up, it was as if someone had muted the sound at the very moment. And that's when she said it.

Selia.

He knew now more than ever that she was the very same girl he'd been dreaming about. No doubt about it. Selia. Selia. Dean could feel his heart pounding in his chest, but he had to remain calm. He took a few deep breaths, trying hard to gather his thoughts. "Selia." he breathed. "I'm Dean." He clenched his fists within his pockets; he had to ask her eventually, why not just get it over with."Um...do I look at all familiar to you, Selia?" Dean bit his bottom lip, almost about o break down from his nerves. He'd never been so nervous with anyone before, but Selia was different. Much different.

Dean? She smiled, even though, it still didn't ring a bell to her. When he asked her if he looked at all familiar to her. This time she did touch his face. She lifted her hand and touched his cheek with two fingers, and brushed her fingers against his lips before letting her hand fall down to her side again and looked down. She was trying hard to remember, but still, it was all a blur. Slowly, she shook her head.

"I'm sorry... you don't." She mumbled, truly looking sad about it. "Its not surprising... I haven't been able to remember much lately."

Selia tightened the blanket around her shoulders, and stepped off the wet sand and onto drier lands. She turned to look at Dean. "But I'd still like to get to know you."

His faced flinched slightly as Selia brushed the tips of her fingers to his cheeks, across his lips. Dean closed his eyes as she did this, a strange sense of relaxation coming over him. It felt so familiar, as if she'd done it many times before. When she mumbled those words, Dean's face fell, staring down at the small tide that brushed against their feet. He was almost certain that they knew each other. "I too, am sorry. I had hoped you were someone else."

Dean looked away as Selia began to walk away; he couldn't bear to see her again, knowing that she wasn't the one. He was surprise to hear her voice once more, to get to know him. Dean turned his head in her direction, and there she was looking back at him a few feet away. Even though she was not the girl he could not get out of his head, a part of him still felt hope that she was.

He walked over to where she stood and took a seat on the soft sand, motioning her to join him. "So would I."

She somehow felt a little sad when he said that he was hoping she was someone else, but she didn't let it show on her face since she didn't know why she felt a little disappointed. She watched him as he came closer and sat down on the sand, motioning for her to join, she did, happy that he would also like to know her, but how did one start off with a friendship? What did one talk about.

She ran a finger along the lines on the palm of her hand, looking at it for a moment before she looked at Dean, and hesitated.

"I am not sure how this all works. I have no friends that I know of, or how to make any... I... forgot how, I suppose." She said slowly, and quietly.

Dean listened to Selia, feeling truly sorry for her. Sure, he did not know her in the slightest - even though part of him felt differently - but in some way he could relate to her. Though his memory wasn't completely gone like Selia's, he still had several holes in his memory, having no idea how it happened.

"Well," Dean began, though he paused for a moment to consider what he was going to say next. He wasn't actually sure how to make friends. Of course, he wasn't an expert, being that he had very few, but decent, friends. "I suppose it's like getting to know someone. You find out things about them and when you discover certain things of interest, you talk about those. Sometimes people will just, kinda, click and gain instant friendship, while others take some time." he took a breath, wondering what exactly he had just said. "Do you understand? Or did I just confuse everything up for you?" Dean added, looking over to Selia, laughing slightly.

She listened to him explain, and she sat there trying to understand better. Get to know another... sometimes it just clicks? She wondered how well her friendship can be with this boy. She smiled when he spoke again. Confusing yes, but it made a bit of sense to her, more then what it had.

"I understand it more then I had. Thanks." She said, smiling still, but then it left her face and she stayed silent a moment, wondering where to start, she looked at the sea, wondering, before tilted her head towards Dean again.

"So... I'm guessing since your out here, you like the sea. I know I do. I like the endless waves, how I can look out and not see anything out there. Though, it looks a bit lonely to me." She said, still unsure how getting to know a person, but it was better then nothing.
