The high places were Avatia's favorites when exploring the islands. Looking through things from the view of grounded citizens was nice and all, but it felt powerful and exciting to see things from above. She could see the sky, her classmates kicking a ball for fun, people going on walks, and she had a feeling she wasn't supposed to see the couples kissing intensely in shaded areas. If they didn't want to be seen though they should've hidden better, so they must have wanted someone to see them.

As she watched people go by with their business, she made notes of the more interesting things she saw. Sometimes she even drew cute little pictures to help her memory, but she wasn't the best of artists. In fact, some of her pictures bordered on stick figures. She did want to improve, but she didn't care if her art sucked as long as she understood what she drew in the future. Her drawings weren't meant to be professional anyways, just a way to enhance the notes she already took down. After a long while of just drawing and writing she founds herself bored and in need of something new to do though. Maybe now was the time for her to stop being the observer and to be.. the one who... interacts with those observed... Maybe not now though. She could wait a couple of minutes first... or hours... or days. Days actually seemed perfectly fine. She could keep watching and make sure she wouldn't mess up her introduction. Yes. That seemed perfect.

BANG!

The door to the roof suddenly swung open violently with a loud crash as it reached the limit of it's hinges. There was a raised foot which immediately came down! A feminine figure stepped through. It was clear whoeever they were, they were a student considering they were wearing a standard girl's uniform complete with some tights and a nice sweater to try to keep warm.

The dark skinned figure was idly spinning something metal in their right hand as their left came up to brush her bangs from her face. Behind her was a larger figure who was much more clearly female than the flat-chested trap infront of her. She wasn't wearing any noticeable school clothing. Instead she was wearing some simple cloths and gold-colored armor.

Kris, the figure that kicked open the door, whistled out a softly as he took a few steps onto the roof. "Gah. It's cold." he eventually muttered out. He ceased the random spinning of the shiny object and stuffed it into an unseen pocket on their skirt. His hands came back up to idly run his fingers through his wild mane of hair before his green eyes happened upon the.. Being nearby. Whatever it was.

With his hands upon his hips he faced her for a few moments. He was going to say something! Something so.. Utterly profound! Something amazing!

...
.......
.........

"Yo."

Okay, not that profound. He was still.. A bit confused by all things not human-looking. It was hard to adjust.

"What're you doin' up here.. Galaxy.. Gal..?"

Avatia nearly shot herself off the roof when two girls came out of nowhere and surprised her. When she turned around she couldn't hide her surprise as she clenched her notebook tightly to her chest and froze a bit. She only returned to movement when she realized the two girls weren't all that threatening. She tilted her head when the smaller one spoke and gave a small wave.

"Galaxy... Gal? I am Avatia, and I'm here to observe my classmates and teachers. What're you doin' up here... uh... um..." She needed to think up a clever response. Something quick and funny, but also surprising, but wasn't mean, but... This was too hard. "Um... Sh-Short... classmate... girl..." That didn't work out as planned. She was about the same height of Avatia, though perhaps an inch or two taller.

Wait, was... she even a girl? Avatia's couldn't couldn't actually tell the girl's gender, and she was too androgynous to put down an exact idea. Her breasts weren't nearly as developed as the one near her, but Avatia's breasts were absolutely nonexistent. She didn't want them though, and they weren't necessary for her, unlike those of humans. Well, the girl looked pretty curvy, and she wore the uniform for girls. Of course she was female. Avatia felt so stupid not just realizing that earlier, and instead she made herself all panicky and anxious. Genders were so confusing here. Base every gender on clothes, she noted in her notebook as she whispered what she wrote.

Huffed out. Short? Classmate?? GIRL!? Well now Kris was just annoyed. "First off! I ain't short. Not at all. I'm like.. At least taller than most kids. Second is I'm totally a guy. Just wearin' girl clothes 'cuz they are comfy and I sometimes get free food." he explained, clearly a bit defensive on the subject.

With another huff, Quasar leaned in, moving to dust the cross-dressing boy off a bit before he uncrossed his arms, "Regardless, my name's Kris. I'm up here because.. WHY NOT!" he thrust his hands upwards to the sky. "Explore places. I'm new enough here so I might as well find a place to hide out if I wanna skip one of my stupid classes, ya know?"

Still, Kris eventually turns back to the one he called Galaxy Girl, "So. You're just.. Lookin' at people? Guess that's alright." he said with a shrug. Eventually his hands came behind his head as he relaxed a little bit, just idly staring down at the ground below from the roof.

She crossed off the note she made as quickly as she wrote. Her attempt to cross it off nearly ripped the paper from the pressure she put down, but luckily it didn't cause too much damage. "Sorry! Sorry! I didn't mean to offend you. I'm also new here." She tried to lighten up the conversation, but her anxiety made her stutter more than she expected. "I-I also find f-feminine clothing m-more comfortable than masculine clothing. I don't of-often get free food, but it's not like I can eat it or taste it anyways." Every time she spoke she kept rubbing the back of her neck with one hand while the other held her notebooks and pen. There were even times she purposely looked away from Kris and at something else to calm herself. She felt so silly and stupid, but it wasn't her fault she knew nothing about here. In fact, she was here on the roof first, not Kris. She didn't deserve to have her happy place ruined by someone who scared and confused her.

When she tried to speak confidently again, her voice weakened out once more. "A-Anyways, nice to meet you, Kris. Maybe we can both share the roof, though I'm not sure if I'll be skipping classes. You never introduced your friend though. The busty one." She pointed at the girl who dusted the girly boy off.

Kris remained a bit defensive as he stared at the other creature. She seemed certainly.. Flustered. He 'humphed' out lightly, at least she knew her mistake. "Eh it's alright. Yer new.."

Still, he went to roll his shoulders a few moments as he crossed his arms. He closed his eyes as a hand came up to run his hands through his hair slowly. "Well.. I am glad you at least understand me about the clothes thing.." He eventually glanced back at the 'busty one' behind him. "Oh? Well.. I don't really gotta introduce her, I guess. She's me. Kinda. Apparently. It's confusing, I don't get it. Something to do with auras and life force or what the hell ever." he explained.

The stern-looking amazoness woman went to give a simple nod but continued to stare daggers towards Avatia. "I guess she's like my ability or something.. Anyway, we can share the roof, I guess. Av... Avatia, right? I mean actually going to class is pretty boring but I won't knock ya too much for going."

"That's so interesting!" Avatia gushed. "Well, I guess she's Kris Number Two, or Alternate Kris. All I can do is suck things into my body to store and some shifting abilities." She was already liking this boy and his alternate self, and wondered if this could be her first chance at making a friend. Maybe even two if she included his alternate self. She could have friends her age and they could hang out with each other and she wouldn't feel as lonely.

She wished she could keep the roof as her own area when she didn't want to be around others, but there were other places too. Other places not as good, but other places nonetheless. "I agree, sharing will be great for both of us; however, I do usually like to attend my classes... when they aren't a bore... so I'll be up here from time to time during school hours. Should we make rules for our territory if we'll be sharing?"

"Kinda. I call her quasar. Just 'cause it sounds cool. She pretty much just punches what I want her to punch really hard and all." he explained as he glanced at galaxy gal again. "So.. Wait. Like.. You store things in your body? Like.. You c-.. What?"

He scratched his head lightly, "You eat an item or something and then throw it up or something like that?" Kris asked. Apparently the concept of potential inter-dimensional storage was a bit over his head.

Still, he went to shrug lightly, "Rules shmules. This'll probably just be you up here. I'm just lookin' around the places in the school looking for a quiet place for me and my friends to hold private meetings." he stated as he walked over to look over the ground below him. "Roof's a bit too far, really. Too out in the open. So you'll have it to yourself mostly anyway."

"Yes," she replied, "like this." She pointed towards her face as her eyes and mouth began to swirl into the form of a giant pastel colored hole in her face. Then she held up her notebook and pen and sucked it into her face, similar to those vacuum cleaners she saw people use in their homes when cleaning. When she was finished her face morphed back into its normal form, with no sign of her face turning into a hole to be seen other than her regular eyes and mouth. "Uh... I don't eat though... It's... uh... hard to eat when the food just freezes inside of you and stays in the form it came in when you take it out and... It's hard to explain. I can take out my notebook and pen if you'd like." Avatia found it interesting how some of the people here seemed to be so confused and surprised by what she could do, but there were also others didn't care that much. Back home she got to experience this a lot with her parent in a more skillful manner, so she never understood what was so interesting about it.

Kris seemed to have gotten over the topic of her powers fairly quickly though, and went on to claim he wouldn't be present on the roof much. "Shame that I won't be seeing you much..." It was only part of a lie. She was a bit disappointed she wouldn't see more of him, she did want more friends after all. She also didn't like talking to people for such a long time though. Social interaction was a tiring thing for her, and she could only take so much of it before shutting down and needing to get away. Perhaps they could see each other, just not so much Avatia would find herself tired.

Yet she couldn't help but be interested in one thing he said. "Private meetings...? I didn't know friends held private meetings. Mind explaining this to me, uh... if you don't mind I mean?"
