Box Tanks? Let's do it!

Desmond got a lot of weird looks as he strolled through the park. It wasn't like he wasn't used to it in fact he found it amusing at the way people was looking at him. The reason why he was getting weird looks was the very fact he was pulling two shopping carts full of boxes and cardboard along with him. He tugged the two carts along with him until he find a nice open area where he could hopefully have enough room to start his project.

Desmond had this really cool idea of making tanks with boxes. These tanks was supposed to be life sized tanks that you can actually enter as if it was a real tank. So here he was at the park unloading the shopping carts full of boxes and cardboards to begin. There was no instructions of this but he did have pictures of a tank that he was going to look at.

This was most definitely a idea he thought of when he was high, yet he still went with it. From one of the shopping carts he then dumped a shitload of superglue and duck tape out on the ground. "Time to set a world record."

The day was pretty clear and it was a perfect day for a stroll through the park. Haru,the calm smiling girl,was taking full advantage of this perfect opportunity while she was on break from the manor. Of course she was adorning a pretty simple suit that she wore to work every day. Her attire got her a few glances here and there becuase a big busted women in a suit seemed illogical and strange to see in a any place.

However Haru blew it off and sipped her morning tea while looking at the flora of earth. From the beautiful trees,to the birds chirping,butterflies flying,and giant mountain of boxes.......Haru stopped when the site came into her view. Were children building a fort? Maybe it was a daycare project for the kids? When she looked around and saw other people were just as confused as her the master mind appeared.

Van Hobo,Known as Desmond to her was moving boxes around with a strange conviction in his eyes. Haru walked over and gave Desmond a smile before speaking "Are these all your backup homes?" a small giggle escaped her as Desmond always prattled on about his homeless lifestyle even during bad situations.

Desmond was checking of his list of things now. "So pile of boxes...check." He glanced up from his notepad to scan the area for the duck tape and super glue and checked that off the list as well. "Ah...but no box cutter or scissors. I also need a ruler...maybe a measuring tape and some sharpies. " Actually, he searched his pockets and pulled out a few black sharpies and smiled. "So sharpies are checked! Now..."

He was interrupted from a somewhat familiar voice. Desmond looked around to see who it was and slightly to his surpise he saw the chick that saved his ass or well.. "Oh heeey Harururu. I see you are probably taking a long enthusiastic walk and stumbled on to the magnificent Hobo King!" Oh yes the Hobo King is just going to be a thing now.

Desmond did somewhat of a goofy pose mocking Kings or whatever...it was just a very goofy pose. "What pleasure it is to meet you on such....a okay day? Nice day? Fun day??!"

Haru giggled at the very flamboyant Desomond. The guy was always fun to be around just for his silly antics. He had this strange air about him hat causes strange things to happen,the pile of boxes being a good example.And what was with this name thing?Was he stuttering? It was kinda cute and made Haru turn from giggle to laughter.

"Oh yes glorious Hobo King it is a fine day indeed." she gave a small closemouthed smile and glanced at all the gear Desmond had laid out. She picked up some glue and a sharpie and looked at them......Why did he need all these materials? Knowing Desmond as little as she did she could conclude something silly and slightly stupid was in motion. " Are you running a daycare Desmond.No grown man needs this many boxes" She smiled at him while subconsciously stacking boxes.

Why you ask. She didn't know,something about stacking just occupied the less active part of her brain at the moment. "So you building a vacation home or something? I'm sure the property value is good here. I heard it gets a lot of public traffic."

"Pfft" He laughed at the thought. Him running a daycare? Who in their right mind would trust a hobo with their kids?! Unless they was the type to not care about who watches their kids..either way Desmond running a daycare is not a good thing. "Actually a lot of homeless people need boxes aaaand some people who are moving." He simply said after moving a few boxes around.

Desmond just shook his head at Haru. "If I was building a vacation home it would be away from people. So no buuuut I am building something cool." He searched around to find the photograph of a tank to show Haru. "Say whatever you want but yes. I'm building a tank out of cardboard so judge me. Do it." Nothing like getting judge that motivates him to do more crazy things.

"So if you are just going to stand around can you pass me a box pretty please? A something very sharp if you have one?"

Haru giggled a bit and handed Desmond a knife she had up her sleeve. "I wont makefun of you for doing something you deem necessary I guess.However I do have to ask why a tank? Of all the things to wanna have.The interior will be very close to even be comfortable. Haru looked over the image for a few seconds before looking at the boxes again.

"It looks possible,but it will take you some time....want some help while i'm on break" She gave small plain look at Desmond as this seemed like a weird way to spend her time off.Sadly she couldn't escape the feel that she needed to help people. Haru grabbed a box and tried to start getting things set up. "You are a very strange and exciting person Desmond" she gave a small chuckle and pulled another knife from her other sleeve.

Desmond just shook his head. "Knives in your sleeves? Geez wouldn't want to try to and mug you..." Desmond accepted the knife and just began cutting away at the cardboard and getting the shapes out. Most of the boxes had been marked with the sharpie and made it super easy for him to know where to cut which was great."You can make fun of me. Doooo it, I feeeed of that stuff." he just grinned at Haru before returning to cutting the cardboard

He only just shrugged when she wanted to know why a tank. "I'm bored and thought thos would be fun." it was totally the only reason why other than "And tanks are cool."

Desmond just looked up a bit at Haru at the strange comment and smiiiiiiled. "Oh I try!"

Hmmmm Haru expected as much for an explanation as to why. She learned to lower her expectations a long time ago. Continuing to cut she waved to the few children who would run up and say hello out of curiosity. Haru was surprised at how much work Desmond had already put into this project just tracing out the proper shapes was an amazing feat. She followed his lead with a small closemouthed smile and a small tune humming.

"So whats the plan for the tank once it's done. A bunch of kids will want to play on it and the teenagers will graffiti it,and mother forbids it rains today. Im sure you've thought all this out oh great hobo king" A small chuckle left her lips as she put two cut out pieces together.Grabbing another box she looked it over and started working on another. "I carry so many knives becuase im a security officer. I don't want to carry a gun everywhere that isnt very safe,however" Haru stopped cutting and pulled a pistol from her pant's leg. "I was on duty so i'm packing more heat then a volcano" Haru bust out laughing before putting the weapon away. The last thing she needed was a kid asking to see it.
