Her eyes flashed with violent anger as he spoke to her sister that way. "Becareful to judge. It is a dangerout habit." her voice was deathly quiet, barely audible as she stepped very near to Akira, giving him a full view of her violent eyes. "And you have no idea what you're talking about." her hands were clenched tightly at her sides, controling herself with every piece of her being.

"I'm jaded, I can admit it. It's like being blind. But I don't care if you're tired. That's a stupidly poor excuse. I'd suggest you guard your tongue closer. Now Please accept my apology, as I did not mean to belittle your fear." her sharp, venomous, amost silent words were thickly accented, and her eyes were dark with anger. But still, she was courteous at possible.

She looked at Ace, warning her not to say anything more with a simple look, then stepped back from Akira, stretching and clenching her hands in an attempt to calm down.

Ace had watched the boy throughout his speech, simply listening, even when he finished it didn't appear as if she were going to reply. Why? The answer came moments later when Loo's controlled voice reached their ears. The younger met the elder sister's look and held up her hands in an 'it's all yours manner'. Looking back to Akira, she waited for his reaction, curious to see what he'd do. Should he become defensive and attempt a verbal attack toward Loo, warning look or no, Ace would attack back.

Akira shrugged.
whatever
These girls had some MAJOR issues.
Akira held up his hands, and then replied.
Misunderstanding than malice, like I said. he said in a completely sincere tone. He couldn't hold it against her, he was sure karma would come back and bite him in the butt if he did. Not to mention he was sure he would do the same thing someday, in fact he probably did the same thing to her just then. He didn't feel like being labled a hypocrite right then.
My name is Akira, he said holding one hand out and dropping the other to his side Compromise?

Loo sighed. Her mind block was still up. She hated people who shifted emotions like the wind. They were even worse to handle. Nevertheless, she didn't want to start out her or her sister's stay terribly, so she extended her hand also. "Sure. Compromise. I'm Luthien." her words were short. She didn't feel like speaking any more than she needed to at the moment. She needed a break for a minute. She offered a small smile, the malice vanishing from her sea foam green eyes to leave only tiredness. Not physical tiredness. She never had that luxury. Just tiredness, and age beyond her years.

She stepped back further so that her face was hidden by the shadows, and closed her eyes, blocking out all emotions for a second. It was probably not even a second, for as soon as she shut down, a searing pain shot through her head, and all down her back. She mouthed a curse, not making any sound. She let go again, all the emotions rushing back in. Her vision was black for a moment, and she blinked rapidly, throwing the guard against his mind up in hers.

A mind reader...? And someone who could read fears? It's that or he was thoroughly confused about what was happening. They were doing something beyond physical, tangible understanding, so Kiiroi wouldn't even try.

"I guess it's pretty much the reason why most don't prefer powers that is hard or cannot be controlled," he said shrugging, trying hard to both get an opinion and not be on the end of the girl's death glare.

"-persecute people's fears when she herself has no idea what goes on in others heads-"

"-belittle your fear."

'Wait, she didn't just see my fear?' He blinked, surprised and yet somewhat relieved that he almost always changed his identity every time he went out. He knew that being afraid of his own powers was stupid, but- he stared at his right hand before shoving it back into his pocket- he had a likely reason why.

"I'm Ace," she stated in a more cheery tone than before, adding a small wave. Like her sister, she didn't wish to have the same school experience as before, especially since their less than pleasant experience was mostly her fault. And so with a small smile, she nodded along with the younger boys assessment, he was pretty perceptive for one so young, and she was the slightest bit impressed. Not that her face showed it of course, instead it still held the small smile that revealed nothing of her thoughts. She'd noticed her sister had withdrawn, but Ace didn't look back, instead she kept her focus on the others.

"So we know Loo's an empath and Akira's telepathic, why're are you here?" her gaze was focused solely Kii, her question in reference to his power, as she assumed he'd understand. It did seem the next logical question, in order to start over their somewhat tense conversation, into a more friendly one.

Loo winced. She hadn't had time to warn Ace, and that particular subject was going to be a tender one. She re-emerged from the shadows, all signs of the painful shock she'd just experianced disapearing from her face. She stepped over and rested a hand on her sister's shoulder. It any and all eyes, it appeared just to be a sisterly display of affection, however, it was a little code they'd developed. It told Ace that the subject she'd just approached was a sensitive one, and to tread carefully.

Her lips were curved into a smile as she felt the boy's emotions shift from confused to surprised to relieved to stupid. It was not a smile of unkindness, nor did she connect it with the changes in the boy. She was simply being friendly. She regretted her earilier actions, but knew that there was really nothing she could do about it.

"Hmm, I dunno; not really I guess. My family just sent me here to watch over my older brother. He gets into trouble quite a bit," he chirped, ignoring all existence of his powers, even though what he just said was kind of true.

Keeping a calm exterior, he glanced, out of the corner of his eye, at Ace's sister, Loo, who he suspected that she already knew he had powers and whatnot. He didn't necessarily care about it; he swore to himself he wouldn't use them ever again. So it's equivilant to having none at all.

Now that the girls seemed nice and more relaxed, and that Akira had compromised, he didn't feel the need to be on guard any more. His disposition lightened as much as it could during the night, and he asked, heartily, "Ace, I presume, you would answer your own question?"

Akira put a small grin on his face, and replaced his hands in his pockets.
Very nice, Ace, you got my power alright but you missed a couple. he said and extended his wings, the stretching hurt a bit, he hadn't flown in quite some time.
He looked over at the small child. Kii. He didn't mention his power...
hmmmm...
NO.
Do NOT pry Akira.
Do NOT.
Sometimes, Kira slipped, he couldn't always keep from the temptations of using his power, but he tried.
OF course, his face never showed what he was thinking. And he was careful to keep his emotion in check also, so that Luthien wouldn't know what he was feeling.
Quickly he turned all attention to Ace when Kii asked her to identify her power, glad for the distraction.

Loo's hand on her shoulder is what kept Ace from calling the young one on his lie. She was able to put two and two together, guessing his deepest fear was something to do with his powers, and so she let the topic shift to herself. Her attention was momentarily drawn to Akira as he spread his wings, but then she once more looked at Kii.

"Well, would you prefer me to just tell you about it, or would you like a demonstration?" her grin was quite mischievous, mirth obvious in her sea-foam eyes.
