Dr. Marina Sable
If she stayed in that office any longer, she was going to put her fist through the wall. Marina loved her job, honestly, she did, but sometimes, people just exhausted her. She couldn't fathom how someone could think that a $300 charge for letterhead was perfectly reasonable. She could buy embossed paper and print her own letterhead for fifteen times less than that! Days like this made her question why she stopped feeding off of these little beings. The vampire was running on barely three hours of sleep this particular day and she was just about done with everything and everyone. If not for the numerous projects requiring her attention within the next week, she would have taken a half day and gone home to sleep.
With a sigh, the tall, female made her way through the courtyard. At this school, leaving the building was like entering an entire new world. The bright colors plus the fresh smells and sounds made for a relaxing, almost therapeutic walk. Naturally, the sounds of children playing nearby did interrupt the serenity somewhat. However, she expected as much considering where she was, so she was accustomed to the mixing of little people and birds chirping. After circling the school for roughly a quarter-mile, she seated herself onto one of the benches. The wood creaked underneath her and, for a split second, she was worried it would break; then, she reminded herself that she barely weighed 125 pounds and the kids had probably done much worse to this bench than she could imagine. If it was still standing at this point, there was nothing she could do to it that might change that.

The pale female leaned back against the wooden surface, staring upwards towards the sky. She was lucky that her particular deviation of vampire had evolved past the incompatibility with sunlight. She didn't know what she would do if she couldn't venture out during the day. Even though she had been working at this school for just about three years, she still had only met a handful of the people that worked in it. Even those she had met, she had only been introduced to briefly. It wasn't bothering her that she felt isolated - no, she reveled in that feeling. She just wished that she had some connections to work with. The more that she had, the better she felt that she could do in her job. Having someone to bother with her frustrations every now and then couldn't hurt either.
Hi guys! This is kind of my introductory post for Mari. Feel free to jump in! I promise I won't bite!
