Boredom is an art

Brielle dangled her legs in the air. She was sitting on a branch in a tree, for two reasons. She was bored. Utterly bored. She'd finished unpacking already, and she didn't really want to stay inside. She'd have to remember to look around later, especially the third flloor.

The second reason was that there was less chance of being notticed in a tree, than down on the ground. She brushed a piece of bark off of her black shirt and continued dangling her legs.

So far, no one had seen her, or seemed to see her at least. And if they did, they didn't talk to her. Suddenly her sandal flew off of her foot.

To go down and get it, or to not go down and get it, that was the question. If she didn't, it might get blow away, or someone might pick it up for some reason. But if she did go down and get it, some one might speak to her. There were so very friendly people at this school, as she had already noticed.

Tear walked around, where her normal clothes, though she shivered, slightly cold. She wore black gloves that kept her hands warm, but in her hands she was holding a snowball, and was packing it into a perfect ball, and made it hard. When she finished packing it, she looked around for someone she felt like throwing it at.

She looked at a boy, walking towards the woods, and she smiled, it was Trephas, her twin, and threw the ball at the boy, and it hit him on his shoulder. He turned around and saw her, and shouted something at her, but she didn't hear, she was laughing.

She turned around and ran towards the lake and ran on it. The ice was hard and thick. When she ran on it, she slipped and fell on her back, and she laughed a bit hard. She found many things funny for no reason. As she got up she looked and saw a girl retrieving a sandal. Tear stood there, watching the girl and smiled. She scooped up some snow, and made another snowball, and threw it at the tree the girl had been sitting on. After she threw the snowball she waved her hand friendly.

Brielle heard a splat against the tree as she was brushing the snow off of her sandal. Okay, so most people didn't wear sandals and just long sleeve t-shirts and jeans when it was cold out side, but she wasn't really cold at all.

She looked up and sort of returned the girls smile. She curled her fingers in a tiny wave, then climbed up in the tree to avoid the snowball fight.
