He stopped. "Yeah. Control over wind and all." he said dully.

He watched her as she put her hair back. "So what about you? What're your powers?"

"Light," Danica said. "My powers, I mean." She flicked a ball of light into the air out of her fingertips and swirled it around before dropping it over the edge. Students below stared at it, until Danica extinguished it.

((omg, im SORRY! I meant to reply... dern internet died, and i forgot about it! >.<))

He gave a small smirk. "Well, then we must be polar opposites, because I also have power over darkness." he said with a small amount interest, while pointing his finger and shooting a small black orb at the bround infront of some kids, making them jump from the small explosion.

He turned to look at her, and her hair caught his eye. 'Din't see that earlier.'

"So, where'd you get such beautiful hair? Is it dye?"
Inside his head, he slapped himself. He just complimented someone. He never compliments anyone. It goes against his nature. Then what did he just do...?

((Ha ha that happens to me all the time!!!!))

Danica laughed. "Thanks... it's dye. I have a collection... pink, red, blue... but usually it's turqoise, my favorite color. Don't tell anyone, but my hair used to be blond." She made a face.

"You should have heard all the yelling at my house when I came home with turquoise hair. My mom was hysterical. 'You used to love your hair! Why would you dye it?'" Danica imitated. "It was almost funny."

"Sounds funny. And what do you have against blondes?" he said, acting insulted, seeing as most people at first glance thought his was bleach blonde. When, obviously, it was white.

"Hmm, I'm liking the turqoise. Definantly stick with it." he said with a shrug, before turning back to watch the kids. It had stopped snowwing at least.

"Uh... nothing, I guess. But why do you care? You're not blond..." Danica said slowly. "Thanks though... I was going to dye it pink... I'll go back to turqoise later, though." She grinned, flipping her hair off her shoiulders.

"Good." he said, almost as if he were closing the subject.

He stared out into the sky, thinking about what he had been through, and what he could possibly go through in the future. Well, that was dreary.

He turned to her. "Well, what do you wish to talk about?" he said boredly.

Danica raised her eyebrowns slightly at Soryuju's question. "Uh... nothing? I don't really know..."

He seemed to be staring at something in the sky. Maybe it was a dragon... the Headmistress had said there were some in the mountains... She stared at the mountains off in the distance.

Soryuju yawned. It must have been getting late, not that he cared.

He looked at her to see that she, too, was staring off into the distance.

"What's on your mind?" he asked calmly, hoping to get more insight on this new girl.

She was a bit surprised at his question. "Hmm... a lot. There's the fact that the only reason I'm here is because my parents hate me, the fact that everyone here hates me, and that no one even tries to pretend to like me. Everyone is stereotypical! As soon as they see my hair, they go 'Oh, she's weird. She dyes her hair! She must be goth.'"

Danica sighed, but continued. "I can seem mean at first, but I really don't mean to... it's just my personality. Nobody thinks twice after they see me, and it's so annoying." She wondered why she'd told him all of that... he probably didn't care. He obviously didn't care, he was just making friendly conversation.

She didn't really care... no, she did. She kept telling herself she didn't care, but she did. She felt the tiniest bit better, glad she'd finally told someone instead of repeating it over and over in her mind.
