Colin looks quietly out over the ocean as the waves crash against the shore in a never ending dance with the shore. He always enjoyed the beach, the warm feeling it gave him and the smell of the salty air. Well, there was also the inner sense of freedom he felt within himself when standing on the shores. It had been a long time since he'd been to the beach..too long....

"WAIT!!" Colin blinks, his trance with the waves breaking suddenly, "I've never been to the ocean before in my life!!! What am I thinking?!" He suddenly brings his hand up to his forehead and closes his eyes in thought. He had always hated it when this happened. They were trances he entered when he reached places that he held dear to him before he was taken prisoner by the gods and forced to start over from a baby. It always tried him and gave him a massive headache afterwards. With a sigh, he looks back over the cerulean water and watches a fishing boat drift by in the distance.

Alana wandered along some craggy cliffs, high above the pounding surf. She was overjoyed, her first glimpse of the sea. not being one to let her emotions remain under the surface she raised her arms and shouted gleefully, listening as her voice was drowned out by the waves crashing on the rocks. Poor little rocks, she sympathized, unable to do anything but hold on tight. The salty air felt good in her lungs and she made a show of breathing deeply, inhaling to savour the memory.

"First time at the sea, it sure didn't disappoint me!" She giggled to herself, picking her way down the rocks until she found a weatherbeaten tree leaning towards the sun. "H'lo tree." She introduced herself, placing a hand on the gnarled trunk to hear the reply.

Sighing, Colin turns from the waves and notices a slender figure standing up on the cliffs above. She had a hand placed on the tree and a look of interest on her face, as if she was speaking to it. A smile spread across Colin's face Wow...she must be a wood nymph! That's awesome, I remember being taught about them back in the school, they can talk to trees and other plants.

He also remember how easily they scare and decided he wouldn't burst in with his usual style. He knew she'd probably jump out of her skin if he did that. He chuckles, imagining the sight in his mind and choking back a laugh. He walks up the path along the cliff, approaching so that she could he him, "Excuse me, but are you a wood nymph?" he asks her smiling.

Although she had seen the boy walking towards her she hadn't realized that it was actually towards her. When he spoke and stopped she was a little startled, but since she was given due warning it wasn't like she hopped back into the tree for protection like she would have under certain circumstances.

"Ehh, yeah." She mumbled intelligently, mentally kicking herself for not noticing that he was nearby before. "I'm still kind of in training, but I'm getting closer to becoming a full nymph." She blushed, noticing that she had rattled on for a bit. "I'm Alana, what's your name?" She asked, geniune curiosity written on her face. Being a nymph she couldn't help but be curious, but the cautious side of her warned her away from asking to many questions. Never knew what the answer would be, nope nope.

Colin closes his eyes and smiles, taking a deep breath, She's technically a sacred creature, one of the superior beasts created by the gods.....do I trust her? He opens his eyes back up, "My name is Colin mac Firbolg." He tells her quietly. He decided he could trust her with his name, but not much more than that.

Alana watched closely when he closed his eyes, apparently battling with some unknown concious about... something. Ehh, boys, she had never been able to figure them out. When he smiled she followed suit, grinning wrly back at him. "Hmm, interesting name." She repeated it, tasting it on her tongue. "How'd you know I was a nymph? Lots of people talk to trees. They might be crazy, or just be able to control them." She frowned, partially wishing she could control trees. The tree behind her laughed in it's deep rumbly voice and she couldn't help but laugh as well.

"I came to see the sea. It's my first time." She winked, turning her eyes back to the water. "It's very pretty, a nice place to change. At least I'd have a good view." She didn't always change in the best of places. Once it had been in a scary neighbourhood, and another time it had been a dog park.
