Hmm.

Well, I really liked "The Mediator" series by Meg Cabot (<3 Jesse de Silva), not to mention all the other books she's written. *nods*

I read one of those Mediator ones in 5th grade, which was probably not the best age to read it. :lol: I didn't read anymore after that.

Meg Cabot is a good writer, though, I read a lot of books by her.

Went to the bookstore today. Got The Golem's Eye, Catalyst, and Wuthering Heights. The money on my gift card is growing thin. But I still have $50 in back-up birthday money! *dance*

Ha ha. I just read Midnight Magic by Avi. Weee!

Is anyone here reading the Alduos Lexicon? AKA: The Withern Rise Trilogy.
The two books so far are A Crack in the Line, and Small Eternities. They are very good.

And don't be fooled by the kids books he writes. ^_^ It's really complex and interesting, it has to do with alternate realities.

I finished Sabriel. It was very good. Touchstone irked me. But not so much as other clueless guys I have seen in other books. Thumbs up to Mr. Nix!

I also finished Catalyst, the sequel/companion to Speak, which I loved. Meh... I didn't enjoy it quite so much as the first one. I couldn't relate much at all to the protagonist, Kate, but this book did have moments for me. For instance, when... *spoilerspoilerspoilerspoilerspoiler* Mikey died, I cried... it was so sad. But the ending was weak. IMO.

Now I'm reading The Golem's Eye. Ugh. The first book was so good, and I always thought that the pacing was excellent. Then I pick up this second one, where we've been going for 200 pages and nothing has happened. Someone should have slapped Mr. Stroud and told him to PICK UP THE PACE. We have seen little of Bartimaeus, and when he does show up, he's not as funny as before. *sigh* I like Kitty, though. She is the coolest of the new-n-improved cast.

I've got my eyes set on Lord of the Rings. Been meaning to read them for forever. Bout time, I should think.

LOTr bored me terribly, the books at least.

I really want to read Garth Nix. He sounds cool. lol

Finished The Golem's Eye. It was excellent until the very end. Very repetitive... And I think I know who the main baddie evil villain is... *evil laugh* If I'm right, then I figured it out near the beginning of this book... Must buy next one.

Now I've started Wuthering Heights. I must say I'm thoroughly confused right now. I don't like Emily's writing style so much as Charlotte's... But I'm only two chapters in. Maybe it'll pick up.
