Leave it to a ghost girl to become part of the library.
Well, not literally - she wasn't too fond of the idea of becoming a brick, or a roof tile, or any other architectural staple of her favorite place, but the atmosphere had a sort of calming effect on her, and she'd spent more time here than in any other place on the island, including the campuses.
At the moment, Aswan was curled up on the floor near the wall, using a beanbag chair as a pillow. She'd propped her head up on the beanbag chair and was reading from a very thick book, its title hidden by her pale fingers. About halfway through, she paused and let out a sigh as she rolled onto her back, holding the book in the air.
"How could I have missed it? Ahhh, it was obvious from page one...!"
Huh, perhaps she was less perceptive than she thought. Sitting up slowly, she tried to test her perception against her surroudings. There were the shelves of ghostly fiction over there... and behind her were autobiographies from famous ghosts... over there were the rows and rows of studying desks...?
Blinking hard, she refocused on a beacon-like light near the entrance to the library.
What was that?
