Hari was kind of proud that he managed to pull this off.

Really, being sociable and in the Book Club were two things that didn't really mix. Escapism was generally for the shy. Every time he thought about meeting with people and making phone calls, his stomach churned uncomfortably in his stomach.

But he did it. He pulled it off. He managed to negotiate with the school cafe's staff to host the event. At the back wall was a huge stage for the big Book Quote and Poetry Reading, manned by Flayace, where the audience could go on stage to read their favorite poems or book lines or even poetry they've made themselves. At the left of the cafe was Zelda's Make-a-Bookmark workshop, and at the right was the Book Sale — used books selling for cheap. The rest of the members either took care of the audience or served coffee, dressed in vests and berets while soft vaporwave music played in the background.

It had only been an hour since this all started. Hari wondered how many more people would come.

Looking around the room with a bit of angst, Flayace felt a bit self conscious, being the only one up on such a big stage, where people would be reading. Taking a deep break, she filled her nostrils in with the still lingering scent of different types of food. It was a pretty good place for their club to be placed in, though the library itself would have maybe been a better option, for people to not get it confused with their club being some type of eating contest. Though she knew that many people would enjoy that, that was not the case.

Her job was to manage the stage, where people could come up and read parts of poems, plays and books of their choosing, or even phrases that they themselves had made. Flayace felt that it was necessary to at least ask each person what they would be reading, as she didn't want some rebel to come up on the stage and swear, though there was always a chance of that. Going over to the microphone, she tapped it lightly, making sure that it was still on. Nodding to herself, she returned to the side of the stage, eyeing her fellow members to see what was happening to them.
