Book Buddies

There he was walking down to the library with one of Dalia's sisters, this meant that they were bound to be friends and he thought to him self for a moment as he walked. He had no other human friends and Joseph found this kind of amusing and cool at the same time, so he giggled to him self unaware that they had reached the entrance. When Amber spoke to him he quickly snapped out of this thought trace.

"Oh.... umm yeah..... its either i'm hanging out..... with Dalia or i'm here..... reading and writing more. This place is great..... filled with so much stuff i can use.... to understand things here better." he said and slightly smiled. Joe was slightly happy, every time he went to the library (which was often) he always read things alone in a conner and had no one to talk to. Sometimes he would read something interesting and then talk out loud as if someone was next to him. It was embarrassing but luckily usually no one was there to see him, so it was nice to finally discuss the things he read with someone instead of talking to him self like a crazy person.

"Hmm.... thats nice..... i usually just come here to read more about stuff about the supernatural and such. Also demons.... still trying to find out what my powers are exactly." he said while he spun his hand. Joe was interested in almost everything and wrote down almost everything, his big note book was a great place to store all of his knowledge and the library was a great place to find everything the he needed.

"Oh umm..... Dalia. We usually talk about stuff play games, give each other hugs..... you know the usual friend stuff.... thanks for holding the door" he said and shrugged as he walked through the door.

"Its.... totally fine..... i don't know why she likes me so much anyways.... i'm pretty boring and..... she is just so.... cool and fun. Sometime i wonder why anyone would like me.... a lot at least". Joe didn't really think lowly of him self but he did know from past experience that people didn't like to be around him for these few reasons.

"Hmm.... i uhh think i have seen her around..... not a hundred percent sure..... but ill be sure to ask her a few things...... if thats alright with her of course. Don't wanna be a nuisance....." he said and let out a slightly nervous chuckle. He was intimidated by most adults but he deiced he would ask if he saw her. After all the hunger for more knowledge was stronger then a feeling in his gut, besides maybe he could just ask Amber later on to introduce him anyways.

Joseph listened in awe as Amber spoke on about friendship and such, new thoughts flooded his head. She was really good at talking about these things for her age Joe had never even thought of it that way, she was smart."W-wow....." he said and just stared at her with a enlightened look on his face, she was kinda cute too. He then quickly shook his head and changed his facial expression back to his normal dull one."Your....... really good at talking to people....." he said having a tiny smirk on his face.

"Hmm.... well i can make things out of the blood...... i can turn things into a metal..... its reddish like blood but...... i have no idea how strong it is exactly. Its really useful for...... making blades and other things" he spoke while looking around at various other things in the library.

"Well.... you been better then talking to be and.... giving advice then most adults here have..... and yes people are kind and polite but.... you seem to have a better way with words". He was telling the truth, half the adults that he meet had gave him advice a ten year old would have no use with, not to mention all the stupid stuff the other kids tended to spout out during lunch break.

"Yea..... but i mostly just use it to make weapons..... but the one thing i usually make that isn't a weapon is a cane. I don't know why.... but i find it really fun to just..... strut around with it..... makes me feel like a rich person or an important one.... but yes i can to anwser your question" he said and thought to him self if it was annoying to her that he was trailing off a lot.

"Three months....... i really gotta get used to things here..... i dunno i tend to see things in people that others don't.... like how Dalia is a great friend and so on and so forth...." he said and gestured in a rolling motion. Joe had no idea why he saw things in people that weren't clear to others, maybe it was the fact that he was anti social most times.

"Yea high status..... i never really knew how that stuff felt.... been pretty rough my whole life, kinda makes me feel a way i never really felt i guess. Two legs..... well when people use canes its usually..... because they have injured their leg..... or they are just really old..... or in my case because i think its kinda cool...".

Great, this was great, Josephs face lit up and he smiled as well, he had never shared what he liked to read and this kinda excited him since he had so much he wanted to talk about."Oh...... oh! Yes i love informational books about powers and stuff its really interesting and sometimes i really like a good mystery book and all kindsa stuff" he said and paused for a moment realizing that he had just rambled on without thinking and his face got kinda red out of embarrassment. He then shook his head and his expression returned to a dull one."I mean yea..... i read lots of books....... nothing big.....".
