Tamara was simply walking through school, handling this and that in the spirit of being part of the school staff. Ah, she just wanted to go home already or visit cafes downtown. Or even more than cafes but the sun was up and it was a little more than a couple of hours before sundown. At the corner of her eye, she found a familiar face pass. Not too familiar though — it was more of the kind that she saw him around, heard news about his escapades. What a rowdy child, she thought.

Just then she had an odd feeling tug at her chest. It was both alien and oddly familiar, as if something was sucking her soul out of her physical container. It was a familiar weight but she'd usually feel it crawl from the pit of her stomach, climb to her chest and then to her throat. It was that exact kind of pain though, and her strength was slowly fading from her body--Wait.

With what little strength she had left, she whipped behind her to find a purple haze linking her and Micah together. "I'm not sure how to feel about this" were the last thoughts she had before her vision blacked out.

When she opened her eyes, she was on her knees, and right in front of her was her body — or rather the body that was once called Yelena. And she was standing as if she were still alive. Odd, she knew Yelena had left that corpse when she took the girl's body.

"Yelena?" she called with a weak voice. She could talk again!! But whose body was-- Ah. It was the student earlier. Odd, she never made the incantation. And-- oh, god, why did this body feel like it's been twisted around inside? God, that is gross and painful. It looks like someone was home, too. Knock, knock?

Wrath was having a good day. He'd even gone to class and hadn't caused any problems, and that was impressive. He was having a good day because he'd finally, finally, finally finished his manga project (some people called them comics, but then again some people were wrong) and he would be able to sell it and make some money to go to the Anime Convention he'd been dreaming of for months.

The Sin glanced as he passed someone who he recognized as being staff. He'd never had any personal contact with her, although he was well aware that she probably knew of him.Maybe even by name, since apparently the whole school had been on red alert about his enrollment since pretty much the word go.

As they passed, he could feel a strange presence in his chest. It felt wholly wrong, like he was being drained from the vessel he was inhabiting and and being filled somewhere else. His head was foggy as he managed to turn his head towards the staff member he'd just passed, probably to ask for help, before everything went black.

...when he woke up, he saw his body.

What the fuck?!" He tried to scream, but nothing came out. He touched his face and looked down at his hands, which were distinctly not his. The inside was much neater too.
_____

Micah roused at the sound of a voice, for all intents and purposes peering out from the darkness of his own twisted up and mangled body. "Hello?"

That was certainly not Wrath. What was happening here? "Who are you?"

Odd. Very odd indeed.

It had been so long since Tamara had a new body and this was certainly, quite certainly a new way to get one. (Although, admittedly she was concerned about the other person in her old body. That body is set to rot in a few months if she calculated correctly.)

In a way, she's forgotten how it was like to have company in the same body. When was the last time she ever did? Ah, it was with her father. She recalls he never likes it when she brings it up but Tamara liked remembering things.

A response soon came after, asking for her identity. She admitted to herself she didn't expect this. Alright, maybe she should have expected there were parasites like her in the island but heavens, she never expected someone like this child had two spirits in one body.

"Ah, pardon the intrusion, we seem to have run into some... complications..." she spoke to Micah, "Don't mind me, I'm just the librarian. I'm not quite sure yet what is happening."

Outside, Tamara tried to stand up, trying to re-orient herself into her new case and trying to watch the other person. "Sorry, you'll have to bear with that. Yelena had a medical condition and is unable to speak," she said. Somehow it almost startled her that sounds actually came out of her mouth this time. Ah, what a relief.

To people who heard her talk, they'd probably be uncomfortable as to how formally Micah Lopez was speaking. It was in no way as brash as Wrath sounded and certainly not as gentle and sweet as the real Micah. It was... light but firm, controlled, and somehow authoritative to some degree.

"More importantly, I'd like you to come with me, Mr. Lopez because as much as I am delighted to be able to speak, I don't quite like this set up."

Wrath arlready had like seventeen questions lining up in his brain, but the first one was that if he could be pulled out of Micah and put into another body, then that meant that he wasnt as thickly attached to Micah as Greed might have assumed, and indeed he had assumed. The temporal demon had been lashed to living bodies as tethers, but he'd admit that he'd never actually been lashed to normal tether and then forced again into a human body.

Perhaps his connection to Micah was more tenuous than he'd thought previously.

Internally, he cackled.

But then there was the fact that he suddenly couldn't speak anymore. He rummaged around the brain of his new host for a few moments, metaphorically and metaphysically emptying out all of the filing cabinets of the human mind in a search for some form of answer.

"Sorry, you'll have to bear with that. Yelena had a medical condition and is unable to speak."

He turned to her--him? Himself? Micah? Fuck, this was confusing--and made a very unamused face. It pissed him off that he couldn't speak at all. He won't apologize for having gotten used to screeching his feelings to the sky and not caring if anyone wanted to hear them or not. It also felt weird to hear his own voice coming from someone else. Fuck his voice so so much higher-pitched than he originally thought.

At the mention of following, Wrath was halfway tempted to run away from her. After all, it wasn't like she could chase him down and catch her, not when she wasn't familiar with his body and how it worked.

He tried to take a step in the other direction and found that, unfortunately, this lack of familiarity went both ways.

He nodded--with a great deal of reluctance--and set about following.

It was strange, seeing someone in here who wasn't Wrath. When she spoke of there being some kind of.... complication, Micah was similarly intrigued. That meant that there was the possibility of Wrath someday just exiting his body. It didn't take him thinking too hard to figure out what the maniac would do with that kind of newfound freedom.

He heard her speak with his mouth, heard his voice the same way he heard it when Wrath spoke, only her tone was gentler, more controlled.

She reminded him of Mama.

The thought sent a shiver down his spine.

"You--," He said. "Who's Yelena?"

Tamara could easily read Wrath; he was planning to make an escape. Unfortunately for him, they were both in the same shoes and she knew well enough it was going to be harder to get used to a body like her old one's. For a moment, Tamara looked at her hands (should she say 'her'? or was it young Micah's? Whatever). It had been so long since she was in a living body that she'd almost forgotten how comfortable it was.

Looking up, he saw Wrath nod reluctantly. That should be good enough, she supposed. As she spun on her heel, she heard the resident of the body speak again. For a split second, she almost forgot she had company. More to it, she'd already forgotten how it was like to be living with someone--and not in the housing sense.

"Ah, Yelena? The original owner of the body I was using. I'm going to guess your friend there is in the same case, though I've decided to use empty bodies for containers nowadays."

Just as she said that, she stopped in her tracks and immediately turned to herself (or Wrath, whatever). She didn't hold herself back from grabbing him by the collar. "By the way, I'd like to advise you not to mess with that body. It's already a chore to keep it in a manageable condition and it would be very frustrating for something to happen to it."

Her voice was firm as she spoke, looking at Wrath in the eye as if she was looking through him. Obviously, if there was a chance to reverse whatever happens, she'd go back to that body and it would become problematic if the lifespan shortened--One month and a half was bad enough.

Realizing her near-outburst, Tamara suddenly let him go and turned around. She cleared her throat, "Just a reminder. We should probably find help," she said, calming her voice just a bit. She didn't speak for a couple of seconds as they both calmly walked down the hall, but when she did, her voice was quiet, "By the way, Mr. Lopez, would you both kindly explain to me the meaning of this?

"There's two of you. Who's the real one?"

Micah nodded to himself. So she was the same as Wrath then--not having a body of her own and instead living inside of someone else's body, like a parasite or something. He doubted that she would be becoming his new roommate or anything like that, especially since Wrath had made himself at home... which involved making his insides as inhospitable and gross as he could possibly manage.

To a degree, the young teen was glad he couldn't really feel what was going on with his body. He had the distinct impression that it would be nightmarish.

Wrath sighed--or maybe it was more like just a slightly agitated exhalation of air, without his vocal cords to actually make it sound like anything--before he was grabbed and dragged down to her (his?) eye level. The new inhabitant of his body made a huge scene about him not messing up anything, and the temporal demon merely shrugged. If a body's insides could be described in the sense of being like a living room, he'd just kicked over a nice vase for shits and giggles.

But at the same time.

He had the feeling that if this body was capable of getting boners, he would definitely have one.

Odd, maybe he'd been in that hormonal boy's body longer than he'd thought.

Micah piped up from inside his body.

"I'm--well, this body--it was mine originally. I was born into it. And Wrath, he--he was put inside of me."

Tamara kept her guard up, in case the other one decided he'd gotten used to the body and bolted out. She wasn't going to spend her time chasing after him but she wouldn't have a choice because 1.) cases are hard to come by nowadays and 2) she has doubts the other one has ever cared about chronic ailments because other than this near inhospitable body, there wasn't an illness ruining it.

As they continued walking, she heard Micah talk again. She took a moment to ponder about it, "I suppose that's logical and it's him who was pulled out. The original resident would have a thicker attachment to the body than the parasite latched onto it," she mused aloud, sure enough that even Wrath would hear it. She was about to turn to Wrath to ask interrogate him, nearly forgetting he wouldn't be able to respond, until the realization finally dawned on her.

Wrath was put inside of Micah.

She stopped dead in her tracks, turning to Wrath with a calculating gaze. Her eyes were on Wrath but her words were directed at Micah, "Pray tell, why on earth would he be in your body? Why him? Why you? For what reason is this set up like it has been?" she began, a list of questions were in her head, really and this weren't even the bulk of it. From how she can see things, Micah was completely suppressed in this situation, but she couldn't see any possible motives. Unless of course... the people who put this 'Wrath' person in his body were to blame.

Tamara could flush out all the other questions she had but there was one she wanted answers. She's heard of Micah from the staff being a problem student but she feels like she understood now that it wasn't exactly the real Micah's doing. And she could only ask the real one for this. Quietly, she asked Micah, "Why aren't you fighting back?"

Wrath could hear her talking about him as though he wasn't standing right there listening to her talk smack about him. Times like this he was happy he'd turned Micah's insides into a miasma of contorted everythings. If the body actually had bodily functions it would have probably died by now. Yet somehow, without him being there, the body was mending itself at an alarming rate.

The body was quickly becoming more normal, less ruined, as though it was resetting itself to a state before Wrath had ruined it.

Of course, neither Michah nor Wrath were aware of this.

Wrath just made the most exaggerated angry face he could muster and flipped her off.

Then, as they walked, Wrath overheard the Question.

The Question that he'd always loved, even in his trillions and trillions and trillions of years of being alive--the question of why. Why anything happened. Why this situation had transpired, why innocent little Micah was a captive in his own body, in his little church with the broken steeple that reminded him so ironically of his sinful family of actual demons.

The temporal demon had to laugh whenever he decided to pick on Micah in the early days of their... 'roomie' situation and Micah ran into the church, as though the ""holy ground"" could stop him.

Micah, from the inside, looked down.

The body she was in couldn't talk, so...

So maybe it would be okay?

"He's here because... because my Papi and Mami wanted him to be." Micah fiddled with his fingers, unable to look at her. "He--he's Wrath. Like. The Seven Deadly Sins. And I--I'm nothing. I don't even have any powers. And even if I... I had the power to fight back, what would be the point? No one remembers me anymore. But he--he won't let me die. He--he keeps me from disappearing so I can suffer and watch the things he does... with... with my body."

Tamara watched Wrath as he clearly showed his side of the story with his expressions (which Tamara noted to not look nice on a sweet childish face like Yelena's.) She kept her watch on Wrath even as Micah began to explain.

It was as if sharing a body meant sharing the emotions, Tamara could almost feel his fear and his loneliness; the feeling of being abandoned and suffering.

"So that's the case," she mused aloud. Her expression seemed to turn sour at the thought of it. By the way Micah had referred to them, it was obvious who was behind it; but why would they do such a thing as to use their child as a vessel? And for the Seven Sins? She wasn't all too interested with Christian values but those things have gone beyond its origins to reach her knowledge. But it seemed to her that she had much to learn about it.

She gave a calculating look at Wrath before looking back to their path and walking ahead. "If you put it that way, it looks like this is the type of plot that I shouldn't interfere in, this Seven Sins," she spoke aloud.

After she said so, she turned her attention back to Micah. It looks like you've had a very difficult time with having a parasite living in you. She had a contemplating look on her face. She had her days when she forced herself into bodies and, as far as she could recall, all of them fought her off and took every opportunity to regain control. Meanwhile, this was the complete opposite of that situation.

I know I'm in no position to interfere with this plan but this doesn't feel right. There shouldn't be a reason why you should be kept like this. This is your body and you have every right to take control of it. This isn't a matter of magic aptitude; you need strengthen your will and take back your life.
