It wasn't exactly unlike Cazimir to be social, but it was unlike him to be so straightforward about wanting to spend more time together. He hadn't lied earlier, Cazimir avoided forming deeper bonds, in order to avoid grief and maybe even casualties. So he told himself getting close to Bastian was to see if the man was a good candidate to possibly seduce and have a casual affair with. Cazimir had been with only few people since he arrived on the island, after all.

"Then it'll be a good chance for us both to get to know the island. And hopefully learn how to avoid mugging alleys."
Cazimir said, joking a bit with the last part. Although hopefully Bastian would know to avoid alleys in the future, he had been lucky this time since the one he encountered was Cazimir. But it would've been a different story with one of those dirty contacts.

Cazimir took the coaster and smiled slightly at Bastian. Whether this was flirting or not at least it wasn't unpleasant. Cazimir tucked the coaster in his pocket, and in turn gave Bastian his business card. It was a simple grey and black design with Cazimir's name, email and phone number(both personal and professional).
"You can also contact me in my personal number, let's see which one of us is faster."
Cazimir lifted his glass, and drank it empty. And with that he had had his last drink.

"Yes. Avoid mugging alleys would be a smart idea," Bastian said. He would probably be the one to take the lead on that tour, if it ever happens. And he would probably stay to very public spots. Sidewalks. Nowhere dark. Nowhere where someone could be mugged. "I'll find some time, see if we can go on a walk or something.”

The business card caught him slightly off guard, though he should have expected it. He gave a number, and it was only natural that Cazimir reciprocated. It was professional, clean-cut. Probably not one that belonged to a criminal. Probably.

Criminals can be pretty clean-cut, too. But he had to stop thinking this way.

He took a look at the watch on his wrist and raised an eyebrow. Time had flew by before he realised it. He had a 9AM class tomorrow. Strangely, he felt a little sad to leave, but he pushed it aside. “It’s getting late. I should go.”

He settled a few bills on the wallet. More than enough to cover his vodka soda. “Keep the change, please,” he told the bartender.

“It was nice talking to you.” He said, then without thinking, added, “Hey, take care of yourself, okay? I don’t want to find you bleeding in an alley again.”

Bastian seemed to have the gift of good timing. First he happened upon Cazimir just when he had been stabbed, and now he had to leave just when Cazimir was finished with his drink. Cazimir nodded and stood up, his intention to see Bastian to the door. And that he did, after the man paid for his drinks. Cazimir saw how much extra he paid, and snatched few of the bills he knew were the extra amount. Cazimir hadn't lied when he had said he was good at math.

Cazimir saw Bastian to the door, and on the way there he slipped his hand briefly on the man's hip. He meant to make it seem flirting, and that's partly what it was, but in truth Cazimir slipped the bills into Bastian's pocket with deft, knowing hands. Cazimir was an expert pickpocket.
"The pleasure was all mine. And I, for one, do not regret getting stabbed, as it was the reason I got a great drinking partner."
With those words Cazimir stepped away and had a small, pleasant smile on his face as he saw Bastian off.
