A mechanical sigh drifted from the android's newly-repaired voice box, as she walked down the lane, once again in search of people to entertain. She supposed she ought to be in-class at the moment.... but then, she had downloaded all the information that class would offer that day, so here she was, exhibiting the human condition of "bored". So far, she had not recognized any beings she knew of by name - only ones that walked by her, nameless faces. It.... it almost reminded her of the way the higher-ranking AIs would walk about, except her masters would usually parade her around, like what she was - a trophy.
That stream of data - no, the stream of
thought, she corrected herself.... Her metal cooled at the thought. She needed to delete that memory from her core memory storage, permanently.
And then a loud
CLANK sounded in front of her. The hard clunk of concrete under her. The sudden THUNK that made her systems flicker in alarm. She had been knocked over - oh. Her scanners had obviously been malfunctioning - there crouched a white-haired being, holding out a hand. In greeting, perhaps?
"Hello, being. Do not feel the need to apologize," with a smile,
"for it is lowly to apologize to an android of low rank. What are you called?" she asked, lying on the ground for a few seconds before coming to sit in a cross-legged position. She had to make her systems were not damaged.
