"Interesting. A psychokinetic ability. He shouldn't be able to move objects that heavy, and not for much more than a few meters." He said, cataloguing it in his mind. He changed his demeanour, becoming less crazy and more pleased with himself. "I wasn't looking for a freak show."

Reece grinned. "I was looking for your power. Yet you were hesitant. Good moral judgement. I think that power especially could cut down a city. Don't worry, you won't get in trouble for this. I made sure of that."

He winced, thinking about the concentration it took to conceal themselves from those surrounding the pair.Telepathic abilities took a lot out of him, hopefully, that student ((NPC!!!)) didn't notice.

((from my perspective, Reece is crazy, but it was the soundest way to end the fight without punishment for Samson.))

"Right. You wanted my power. Got it." Sam said. The fight had gone out of him, as fast as it came. There were people around, now that Sam's focus was no longer on one thing, but their heartbeats were normal. None of them were agitated or surprised at anything. Of course. Scrawny kid probably was a telepath. Could hear thoughts or something. Special school for special people, after all.

"You a telepath?" Sam asked.

"Nope. But I can be." Reece said mysteriously. He was glad that the fight was over. It actually really hurt him to be hit that much. He was obviously a skilled fighter, and with that ability to sense those around him, could probably become even greater.

"Well, you told me your power. Be just fair I showed you mine." Relinquishing the telepathy from the other student, Reece traded it for the telekinesis of the boy in front of him. "I can borrow other people's powers."

With that, he mentally lifted his library book into his hand, though it wasn't as graceful as when Sam lifted his glasses. "The name's Reece by the way."

"Power thief. Cool." Sam noted this down for the future, watching the boy - Reece - lift his book up ungracelfully. There were lots of dangerous people around in this school. It'd be useful to figure out their blind spots and what makes them special, so that he get to win a couple of fights in the future. "Sounds useful. No wonder, then."

"I'm Samson. People call me Sam." Sam said.

"Samson? Like the Bible figure?" It had to be more than a coincidence. "Anyway. Nice to meet you, Sam."

Reece though for a moment, unsure if to ask. In the end, he decided to go for it, Better to be rude than to have unanswered questions. "Have you always been blind?"

"Yeah. Like the guy in the Bible." Sam said, nodding. He had never set foot in a church in his life, but people had told him about this repeatedly, so he understood. It was some blind guy. That was all he knew. "Nice to meet you too, Reece."

Have you always been blind. The one question people ask him everytime they meet him. At this point, he had a rehearsed answer.

"Sulfuric acid isn't known to be good for your eyes." Sam said, lightly. "That happened when I was 5, by the way. No memories." This was a habitual lie.

The rehearsed line was obvious, most people don't sound like they are presenting a speech to the class. "Sulfuric Acid, huh? That'd have to hurt."

He leant against the tree. "I'm sort of new here, so I don't know much about this place. How long have you been here?"

"Like I said, I don't really remember." It was easier explaining it like this. His history was a fucking mess, and people who heard it didn't really want to talk to him ever again. Having allies in this place would be beneifical. "i'm new, too. Been here for a week, maybe. I just know that this place is filled with peopel like us."

"Yeah," Reece's interest was piqued. Sam was definitely hiding information. "I don't 'we' as individual people, are actually like everyone else. We all have our different backstories and abilities, not to mention our personalities and outlook on life. No two people could ever possibly be like 'us' for that reason."

A idea came to Reece. "If you are blind, and yet can sense the world around you more accurately than a normal human, Doesn't take make you like the Superhero Daredevil?" He said with a laugh.

"Yeah." Sam replied, a little disinterestedly. He never really thought about these sorts of things before, to be honest with himself. He just didn't have time for thinking deeply. "We're all different in our own right."

"Who's daredevil?" Sam asked, blankly. Superheros, he knew what those were. He saw them on movie posters and the sides of buses when there's a new movie about them coming out, Superman and Batman and Spider-Man and things like that, but who was daredevil?
