Vachal viciously sunk his teeth into a girls neck, drinking her blood hungrily. It was day out, and during the day he always felt more hungry then ever, he felt so weak though, and he skin was more pale white then usual. He closed his eyes when he drank the girls blood. He was normally careful when he drank the blood. After a few moments he pulled away from the girls, his eyes wide. He released the girl, and she slumped to the ground.

He drank to much blood. He wasn't careful. But he heard her soft breathing, and the sound of her heart beating. He raised a hand to his head, stumbling away from the girl. She'll live, but he was still worried. He turned away, and stumbled out of the empty room, searching for another one. He avoided the patches of sunlight. He found another door, and pushed it open. No one seemed to be in here. He strode in, closing the door behind him with a slam.

He wiped his mouth on his white dress shirt, and swore under his breath, remembering that it was white. He stared at his now stained forever sleeve, before letting off a stream of curses under his breath.

Through all of the terrible events, Doll was watching. But not in a frightened way, no. She was almost never scared; just always curious. And curious she was, to have braved dust bunnies and broken glass to come explore. Of course, she'd brought her sewing basket, in case, of all things, she got bored. But Doll soon found that the empty rooms that haunted the halls were far from empty. They were full of visions of the past, and happy memories, and broken things. The broken things were quite funny to Doll, as she had discovered a piece of chalk and it's uses on a chalkboard. The poor board was subjected to her crazed scribbles. After a bit, she had moved on down the halls, and was peeking into each room she had passed.

When she found the boy sucking blood, any mere 'human's thought was fear; but Doll was excited beyond end. What was he doing? What is this red stuff? Why was he biting her? Is she hurt? She's not moving. But does that mean she's hurt, or sleeping? Oh my, that shirt isn't getting clean very soon. i wonder if other people go around biting things. I must say, it should hurt! But would it hurt the object, or the teeth? Maybe the harder one wouldn't feel pain.. And so her muses went on in her mind as she looked over this vampiric boy and the unconscious girl with wonder. Suddenly, Doll exclaims, "How in the world did you manage to do that?" she steps into the room, her basket in the crook of her arm. She steps forward to get a closer look.

The voice startled the vampire. He turned around, a low, almost animal like growl escaped him, but she didn't seem like much of a threat or anything, so he tried to let himself relax and focus on the words she had spoken. "How in the world did you manage to do that?" She had said. He looked at the fallen girl, a frown falling over him.

"I'm a vampire. Its what I do..." He said, seeming a bit disoriented, feeling out of it. He looked at the girl who had entered the room, focusing all his attention to her, and once again frowned when he saw the stitches on her face as if she was sewn together, and he didn't exactly hear a heartbeat from the girl, and it did well to make a chill run up his spine.

"What are you... I mean, um... who are you?" Val asked.

Doll watches him closely. "Vampire..?" she asks, confused. She, having not been alive for long, had not had much exposure to the world. She steps closer, poking the girl on the floor with her toe. "I am Doll." she nods. "What is a vampire? And what is it that you do..?"

She's... a doll... he guessed that explains the stitches. When she asked what a vampire was, he cocked his head to the side curiously. So she was one who didn't know what a vampire was... normally everyone did. "A vampire is a undead creature. Lots of people call us children of the night." He shrugged. "And what I do... I drink blood, its like my food, 'course I can go without it, but that means I'd get weaker and weaker until I feed again." He said, wondering if that'd answer her question.

Doll blinks. "Why blood, of all things?" she asks, continuing to poke the poor girl on the floor. "And why children of the night? Why not children of the day?" she ponders, her mind flooded with questions.

"Well, who are 'you'? Besides a vampire." she nods frantically and sets her basket on the floor.

"Why blood, of all things?"

Vachal shrugged. He didn't know how to answer that question right now. He looked at the 'doll' poke the girl on the floor, and frowned some. He ran a hand through his black hair. "We're called children of the night because we sleep all day, and because the sun burns our skin." He said. When she asked how he is, he gave a slight smile.

"My names Vachal." He bowed his head a little.

Doll tilts her head. "Why do you sleep all day? And why does the sun burn your skin?" she asks, no end to her questions. "Vachal. That's a cool name," she says with a sigh, "my name is just a statement of what I am. But, well, what ever. the thread moves on." she nods again.

"Well, why isn't this girl moving? Is she hurt? And why did you take her blood 'here' instead of some other place? This dust hurts my eyes." She rubs her poor eyes.

"Why do you sleep all day? And why does the sun burn your skin?"

Vachal stared at her, no expression over his face, before he leaned his head back and sighed. "You like to ask questions don't you, Doll?" He said quietly, then shook his head. "But I don't. I don't know all the details of why it happens. To me, it just does. Sides if I asked my mother so many questions she would have tossed me out sooner." He gave a short laugh.

He tilted he head towards the doll looking girl when she said his name was cool, then spoke of how her's was just a statement of what she was. Vachal shrugged. "Its still a nice name."

When she started asking questions again, he laughed again, this time it was a bit more cheerier. He walked over to the fallen girl and knelt beside her, brushing a few strands of her light hair from her face. "She's unconscious. I was careless and took more blood then I might too. I have to bite someone to take their blood, making deep puncture wounds. So yeah, she's hurt, but she should be fine. And why here... because if someone saw me grab a person and drink their blood in public then I could get thrown out of the school, this was the only empty place at the time." When she said the dust hurt her eyes, Val smiled somewhat. He stood up and went to the door, and opening it, careful not to get too close to the light. "We don't have to stay here then."

((OoC: Sorry about the late reply, lol.))

Doll frowns. "Thrown out? Like me. Except, it was more thrown off a cliff.. And questions come easily to me. People call me naive. Is that bad?" She shrugs.

Doll looks down at the girl. "Ah.." she steps towards the door. "I guess we could leave.." she nods, stepping out into the hallway, her black and white shoes crunching over broken glass and pencils. "But if not here, then where?" she asks vaguely, twiddling her fingers around her basket.

((Sorry for shortness. @.@))
