The other babies bound out after their siblings when no more signs of dangerous came. Each of them was happy to be bundled in sheets or blankets and, despite the sadness that radiated off of them, weariness soon overtook their tiny blobby bodies. They slept peacefully, making tiny mewling sounds like that of a cat.

Polaris will fade out here.

Haru did as Ali suggested and had the men sweep the lower levels for hiding civilians and a possible extra corpse of these creatures. The ones that they did have alive though were to be bundled up and carried down to the police for detainment and possibly even a therapist. If these things could communicate they were probably in shock at losing a parent.

"I don't think so either. No worrying parent would bring its young to a dangerous scenario like this. They were just at the wrong place at the wrong time......The best we can do is look for clues on how they even got here and assist the police."

Haru looked at the corpse of the mother once more before poking it with the end of her gun. It was a test to see if the ooze was dangerous to touch. If the test showed it was safe enough she would use her powers to try and understand the makeup of this creature. Maybe it was an alien who got their teleportation coordinates wrong. Though the shocked reaction, it gave to others severely killed that theory.

She lowered the bundle down and let the creatures join their sibling in the sheets. It pained her to see these things like this. Her job was to locate and eliminate. She left the cleanup and the little ones to others who knew better. And now to think she would be cradling orphans that would have been disposed of if they were in the hands of hunters.

"Good plan. Surely they're more capable of handling these things, or at least knowing who to hand them over to." And of course hope none of the creatures, whether the young ones or big ones that have yet to appear, come for revenge at the loss of a couple of members.
