Agnes didn't answer Kadir, she didn't have the mental energy to debate this, and instead just nodded along as he spoke. But at least she listened, Kadir had opened her ears and Agnes could feel the numbness slowly fading away, revealing how stressed and emotionally exhausted she was. And as Kadir gave her a hug Agnes let her head sink on his shoulder and let it rest there, taking deep, slow breaths humans wouldn't be able to take. She tried imitating breathing while sleeping.

"You mind if I borrow the couch? I think I need to go in that trance I told you about."
Agnes said in a rather weak voice, she wanted to rest her mind for a bit and that trance was the only thing that could help in this case.
"I'll be out of your hair by the time you need to go to school."

"The couch?" he'd ask, "no, not the couch," he'd say, almost sounding serious, "take the bed, it's more comfortable," he'd finish with a tiny smile. "And you're not in my hair....well your fingers going through my hair isn't the worst feeling," he'd say, trying to cheer her up a bit.

"First take the damn meds," he'd say firmly, "it'll help with the swelling," all the fights he'd been in had taught him how to treat injuries. "School can wait, I'll hang out here...keep an eye on you if you need to stay later," he didn't mind her staying, hell he liked having her around.

He'd look her over, "tell me if you want me to grab you some blood packs or anything," this was definitely new to him, taking care of someone.

Agnes didn't start resisting when Kadir offered his bed, she just nodded. If Kadir wanted to give up his bed Agnes wasn't complaining. She answered Kadir's efforts to cheer up by cracking a small smile, and just for the heck of it Agnes reached up and ruffled Kadir's hair a bit.

Agnes wasn't really used to being the one taken care of, and thus she was a bit weirded out by it. She was usually the one taking care of things. But it wasn't bad, and Agnes complied without griping when Kadir told her to take the meds.
"So you're just using me to have a reason to skip school? I'm honoured."
Agnes tried joking, and chuckled a bit

Agnes shook her head at the blood bags, she had drank enough to last couple more days, and stood up.
"You can join me in bed, you know. I don't think I'm up for anything else but just laying there, though."
Agnes shrugged, and went over into Kadir's room. She didn't waste any time and just fell on the bed, letting out a deep sigh.

He'd snort a bit at her joke, "gotta get that excuse not to go and you're a pretty good one." The half jinn would lay besides her with a small sigh, laying besides a girl without screwing right before or right after, another first for him.

"Just rest, I'm not going anywhere," she was an odd girl, yet he found himself drawn to her, like a moth to a very pretty flame. He'd glance at her, he didn't understand it really, well he understood physical attraction, but this emotional stuff was new to him.

Perhaps he'd sleep a bit, perhaps he'd stay up to keep and eye on her, either way he wouldn't leave her. It seemed she needed him and maybe he'd end up needing her too.

Agnes was kinda relieved Kadir decided to come to the bed with her, and when he was settled beside her Agnes closed her eyes and turned towards Kadir, setting a hand on top of his heart. His pulse was calming, like a lullaby, and though Agnes couldn't feel the sleep gripping her she could feel her thoughts slowing down. She let Mia and Oscar and their father and everything else shitty flow away until there was just Kadir's pulse and Agnes' own, very slow breathing.

This was how Agnes would lay for few minutes, in silence, until one thought came through her head. And Agnes voiced it.
"Hey, Kadir. Thanks."
Agnes said quietly, and there was a hint of a new feeling inside her. Agnes ignored it, because she started letting herself fall deep in trance again, and that was as close to sleeping as she could get.
