Head feeling cloudier than a smoggy autumn day in London, with eyes holding more baggage than a prom queen on holiday, the gloomy sophomore could barely pull himself up from his dreary courtyard catnap. He knew his hair was a mess, he knew his clothes were getting wrinkles, he knew that he looked pale as death and that he was counting up too many absences, but it was becoming more difficult to give a dam the busier he got. How in the nine hell's had his schedule even filled up so?! Originally it was just classes. Then a gardening club. Then a hiking club that related to his studies anyways, so whatever. THEN the school counselor was laying heavy vibe suggestions pushing him into this “hereafter” cult. Now Media club and drama? HOW EVEN?! SERIOUSLY?
As a full time student—scratch that—a physically vulnerable full time student, he already had his hands full with homework alone and at that he had ALREADY skipped classes for extra rest! But now? He didn’t even have after school time to relax at home and Julian and Tomo was doing all his gardening!
UGH talk about infuriating.
Raking hisclaws fingers through his hair, he let out a ragged exhausting sigh, feeling more like he was expelling what little was left of his soul. Chester honestly had no idea how he was going to fit his new part time job into his very stretched schedule. He would probably have to drop a class altogether. After all, this job with Mukuchi was so important and there was no way he was passing up such an opportunity. But now he worried whether he would be able to handle this.
Struggling to even lift his leaden feet off the ground, he drifted through the halls like a miasmic plague as he made his way towards the library. His throat was raw, he needed some tea, probably a substantial snack so cafeteria would likely have been best, but the Library was always a much more welcome escape from all the noise. That and he had a fair bit more to check out and read up on.
Stopping by his locker long enough to grab the five texts he had previously borrowed, he continued on towards the carpeted quiet sanctum of knowledge. Tipping his returns into the bin and wincing at the deep crashing, he turned heel and made his slow and dreary way towards his objective subjects.
He was just SOOOOooooo tired… and the pressure building in his head and chest were alarm bells that really needed to just SHUT UP for a minute! Not to mention the growing whispers that wouldn’t leave him the EFF alone! Ugh he could feel the shadows pulling at his feet like walking through tar or maple syrup.
Dragging himself up and down the aisles, fingers running along endless titles as he drew a few random basics, he had collected quite a hoard for himself by the time he figured that he had more than enough. After all, he still had to carry all this shit home.
On his way back through the library towards the Sign outs, his foot caught hold (or rather something caught hold of his foot) and he stumbled forward crashing into another student as his eight thick titles loudly clattered to the floor.
“AUGH!!! IDIOCY!” He growled swearing in draconic as he stumbled to push himself from his pile on the floor, beyond frustrated with himself.
Pushing himself to his knee and sweeping his black mop from his face, he released another aggravated sigh as he began gathering his fallen materials.
“Ugh… My apologies, Rough day…” He managed in a raw scratchy voice, glancing up to the person he had bumped into, “You Good?”
