Ember was drawing a caricatur of a boy not too far from her siting in his seat, waiting. As she continued drawing, a girl appeared out of nowhere, slidding into the seat next to Ember. Ember felt a little awkward and scooted to the side a little. She didn't look at the girl directly, but fro the corner of her eye and asked, "Can I help you?"

"Well, eh," she said, trying to adopt an enthusiastic hyper tone, and actually succeeded, "Well, y'know the teacher, that guy over there, told us to get into partnering, thing. So, since you weren't doing anything and no one was here..." she trailed.

"Yours truly is called Chi-chan. My sister loves calling me that," she introduced, smiling all the way but deep under the surface was someone pretty annoyed. But of course no one noticed as she continued to fidget in her seat and watched almost too eagerly as the teacher began giving intructions.

"So, what's your name?"

While she was aware of the scurry to find partners, Neveah did nothing about it. If she had broken her concentration from the teacher, she'd have no clue what to do next. Her hand wrote in sync with the steady stream of words coming out of the teacher's mouth. She knew that she'd have a partner, regardless of whether or not she chose one, and frankly, she didn't particularily care whether the person she got was a complete stranger or a friend. So she just kept on taking notes, wings opening and closing slowly with the rhythm of her breathing.

In a way, Ember was slightyl scared of this strange girl who had approached her so enthusiastically. But she didn't want to be rude or anything. "Yeah, I knew that we hadn to get into partners, I just prefer to wait to choose." As the girl began to trail off on her words, Ember knew where she was going to, she wanted to be partners with Ember..at least, that was she was assuming.

"Hi...Chi-Chan.." Ember found it weird to call he girl Chi-Chan which she guessed was a nickname given by her sister. As the teacher began writing the instuctions on the board, Ember followed writing them in her notebook, she may not be the best student, but she always copied everything the teacher would wirte down or said was important. "I'm Ember."

A few seats away from where Ember was sitting there was a girl with butterfly wings whcih were slightly moving with a rythym which she couldn't help but stare at indirectly.

Chi stared at the instructions on the board. She could not comprehend what exactly the instructions were, but got the gist of it. Or at least what she looked like doing. Underneath, he knew perfectly well, but decided not to show it. (He meant, wouldn't it be odd if a perfectly weird looking girl knew a TON about biology and anatomy...?) She played with her pencil, staring glazely at the board, waiting for the moment the class would end.

But then, dissection time. Well, at least, he couldn't make a mistake. Personal experiences made him too much on his guard in this class. Plus, he had never been around so much people before...

His disguise at the atrociously-named guise of Chi-chan protected him from such... How long he could keep it up was the question.

Most of the people overlooked Klay. She was not easily overlooked, though. The fact that she didn't look interested or grossed out made them jittery. Or at least, Klay thought of them as that. A few people had already partnered, so Klay ignored them and watched the teacher. No one approached her yet.
I have absolutly no idea why I came here. Maybe it was because my sister would want me to. I wonder what she would say if she found out what I've been doing here. She'd laugh and be my shadow, just like she did at home.

Ivan got to class late... way late. "Mr. Grey, I presume?" "Nah, I'm Ivan." "Yes, Ivan Grey. You're late, but I suppose I could let it go considering that it's your first day here. Now take a seat and find a partner." "Right on." Ivan took a seat next to a girl that was by herself in a corner of the room. "Hey. I'm Ivan. Wanna be my partner?" His short glasses were shining underneath his eyes and he hung his black leather jacket on the back of his chair. "Keep in mind that I'm new here. I might not be as good at biology as you are."

Seventeen year old Taryn Rennigade sat near the back, in a boring classroom. She looked up as other students were walking in late. She was wearing her brother's baseball shorts and a yankees jersey. She sighed and pursed her lips, trying not to fall asleep. Why was Taryn here, in this stupid classrroom, when she could be outside. Oh yeah. She didn't want to fail, which she almost never did. Even though she wanted to be outside, she was in a hot classrroom. Her back was aching and her bruises were very sensitive now. Where were old bruises had nearly disappeared, there were new ones on top. The bruises her mostly by her shoulder, and since everyone knew she played sports, they never bothered to ask where she got them. She bowed her head and then her head shot up, as the teacher began to talk again. Did she have to pay attention? Only if she wanted to pass.

((Not my best post...))

Klay shrugged, looking from the side off her eye at the boy.
Hmm. This is the first person who has decided to partner with the mute.
She leaned up.
Maybe, this will be fun, if I don't have to probe its intestines. The last time I did that... Yuck.
She spoke in her mind as if she was talking to someone, but that was unusual.

Ivan smiled. In her own way, the girl had just accepted his offer. Ivan leaned back in his seat. "Besides the cutting things open part, biology is pretty boring." He pointed out.
