Alexander was still adjusting to island life, as he wandered the city and saw some of the sights. had decided to check out the forest. It wasn't long before he shifted into his full dragon form, yawning as he did so. This form was rather massive, but fitting when compared to his human form. He was as tall as a two story house and sported tough red armor like scales across his entire body. Even his wings were durable.

He walked through the woods as if he belonged there before finding a nice clearing to settle down for a nap. He lay down scanning the area before resting his head. He was just drifting off when he heard something moving nearby. It probably wasn't a threat though, he opted to ignore it for now.

A loud whistle escaped the tiny fluffy dragon as she bounded around from thing to thing. A tiny little squirt barely larger than that of a nursed kitten... Tiny yes of course. The little one was barely a hatchling not to mention from a smaller species of dragon. But, dragon she was. And, while unlike most dragons her age she was completely toothless with thumbs and a knack for getting out of places and into trouble!

Having freshly escaped mommas house (I swear momma needs to stop leaving her behind with the aunties!) Now the small dragon was out and about and interested in getting into trouble... Well.. Trouble was found in a mountain of a dragon!

Sniffing the larger dragon that looked to be resting... or dead. Dead was a possibility...

Sitting down on her rear the little dragon pulled out a shinie, it was an old timey watch that still made a ticking noise. It was an awesome shiny! (BEST EVER!)

With little razors for claws and a BIG heap of determination the little dragon climbed up the bigger one.. Until she rested her floofy behind on Alex's nose and let out a loud whistle to see if Alex was dead... or sleeping!

He couldn't feel the way something climbing onto his snout. He may not have noticed if it wasn't for that high pitched whistle of a cry. He stirred and cracked open his green eyes, focusing on the tiny creature on his nose. What was it? Small blue, and rather fuzzy. It smelled like a dragon. Little fuzzball probably just slipped away from their parents.

He opted against raising his head. When you're the size of a two story house that tends to be a bad idea. He exhaled through his nostrils releasing warmer than average air and nudged her playfully with his tail.

"Alright little one, where are your parents?"

Oh. Em. Geh! It was alive! The bigger dragon was alive! Unable to contain the excitement that she felt she wriggled and was about to.. Do something, but at being poked with a tail tip from the larger dragon Stormy being a weak little one was successfully plopped over. It was like watching someone tip a cow with how effect it was.

This, given how small she was didn't make her cry at all instead it encouraged her! The bigger dragon was being playful! It was awesome! Her reaction was akin to pushing 'overdrive' on a hyperactive bomb.

Before her little energetic mind could become over ran and sent into overdrive the little one got back up onto all fours and then sat on her hind legs. Which once she was steady again held up the watch for Alex to see and even hear it ticking softly.

The chittering noises she made only sounded like.. Baby garble. Well, there was one universal truth about babies you couldn't understand them no matter the species. But the noises she made mimicked a wide range of animals from birds to the grunts of seals and several species of animals between.

The tiny dragon seemed a few steps passed pleased to see that he was awake. He was still drowsy but to say he was annoyed at the child would be wrong. He was the oldest child in his family, it was always like this when they were this young. He had no qualms about entertaining this dragon. Though he was still concerned about the parents in or probably not in this hatchling's life.

He sniffed at her watch and gave her a look of approval. It looked like she took decent care of it. She was still in her baby talk phase, but picking up Draconic in her dragon form would be easy now. She had a wide variety of noises that all translate to gibberish aka baby talk. He growled back to her gently essentially telling her to "take it easy" before he lifted his head and shot a fireball into the air, then looked to her expectantly.

At seeing the larger dragons approval, she set the pocket watch down and hooked the cord of it around his horn easily enough. It was so he didn't loose the gift she gave him.

Though at hearing his growl her fluffy little ears perked up and she listened to him for a good moment. It would be clear that she's sorting it out a bit in her head, though it did to seem that it registered some form of ideal in her head as the little one did indeed calm down.

When Stormy watched Alex shoot a fireball into the sky she watched intently. Puffing up the little one looked like she would float away from the sheer amount of air that was taken in. Only to shoot out a tiny blue ember... All that effort for so little.

Excitement returned in waves as the young one darted over his head and snuggled his horns after doing so. It was easy to take it that this was the first time she breathed... Well.. Anything.

She put so much effort into that tiny little ember. She had a long way to go, however this was such a simple thing to teach a hatchling. He angled his head down so she would slide off and onto the ground then stood up to his haunches. She was such a tiny little thing. Breathing fire was second nature to him even when he was her age.

He gestured to his chest with his foreleg and breathed in deeply, exhaling embers inside his mouth but not outside it. He did it a few more times so that she would get the basic idea before looking at her expectantly. He'd never actually taught another dragon how to breathe fire, his cousin was also a fire dragon but they were so close together that they learned from each other.

He assumed the child was orphaned and being raised up by a none dragon, so he'd teach her what he could.

At being set down the little dragon whelp looked up to Alex with affection and adoration. Her little eyes seemed to grow larger, taking up most of her face but it was only her excitement at seeing another dragon up close in person.. It was something that she liked and strive to see.

Stormy's little eyes darted all over Alex as she took careful attention to how he was breathing and how he was doing what he was doing. It was for the sole purpose of learning how, like a hatchling would watch its mother she puffed out her chest.

Taking careful note of what was done next Stormy breathed in and out just the way that Alex had.. Blue embers began sparking in her mouth, slowly and faintly at first but then after a moment it was a large woosh of flames creeping out and wafting on either side of her jaws. But.. It was not only flames.. Crackles of what sounded like thunder and lightning were there as well..

The first sparks turned her fur jet black and the wispy scent of ozone filled the air.. She was a tiny storm dragon.

The little baby dragon caught on fairly quickly to what he was doing. That was always good, though with most of his kind, simple things like that were almost instinctive. Her fur had also changed color. Based on the sound and scent he could see that she was a storm dragon. He took another deep breath and released a stream of flames into the air. He looked back down at the little storm dragon once again.

He remembered when he was young like this, learning how to shoot his flames. This little one would probably grow into a powerful dragon one day. For now though, she deserved to have as much fun as she could.
