Hiatus
She was the shadows, she was the wind. No mortal saw her coming, until her claws would slice and the prey's blood was drained. She was a hunter, always thirsty for a new chase. Her eyes saw the pulse of life, her teeth made it disappear.
Her nose...
Her nose itched.
Damn, this was stupid.

"Cut!"
Tomo yelled, and stood up straight from the position she had been crouching in, pretending to stalk an invisible prey. Well, in the film it wouldn't be invisible, it would be Cluckers.
"I need to sneeze, just a sec."
Sure sure, an actor wasn't supposed to make the call for a cut, but what could you do? A vicious hunter couldn't possibly sneeze in the middle of a hunt. Even Cluckers would be able to see her coming, even if he was a pea brain.
Tomo sneezed, quite loudly at that, and used her fur covered arm to wipe her nose. Tomo was in her bakeneko form, actually looking quite scary by Narrow Reality standards. If a normal human saw her on a dark alley they would most definitely run away screaming. But this was Manta Carlos, and Tomo just looked like a human-shaped cat.
Tomo turned to look at Lucas, who was some ways away from her behind a camera, taping this hunt that would end in Tomo getting covered in fake blood and chicken feathers.
"You know, it would give me motivation if you actually put Cluckers out for me to "hunt". You know, get me in the mood."
Tomo used air quotes when she said "hunt", and grinned a bit, the grin looked kinda predatory when she did it with her current human cat face.

Lucas stared blankly at the final frame before turning the camera off. Had they gone too far? The quality of the film was too crisp, the exact opposite of what they needed for a low budget horror film. It could have been scarier if Lucas had shook the camera around more. Maybe cover up part of the lense with his thumb. With such a clear image of Tomomi, there was nothing unsettling about the video. Sure, if he showed this to his cousins in America they would be scared shitless, but on Manta Carlos there was nothing out of the ordinary about a human-like cat roaming the woods for food. Hell, the scariest thing about Emoore, the kid a few rows in front of him in math class with ten rows of teeth was that they didn’t eat one half of a KitKat bar at a time.

“ No offense, but... I think this whole thing might be offensive. ” He blurted out. His free hand reached towards the back of his ear, scratching it for a moment as he tried to come up with the right way to put things.

“ Just think about it… You’re a cat. There’s a lot of people who look hella ‘scarier’ than you here. It might make them feel… weird. I mean, you know how sensitive Emoore can get…” Lucas told her, flustered, carefully slipping the camera back into his backpack.

God. Was that even himself speaking or did he get possessed by the spirit of Captain Obvious? Lucas just… couldn’t put it any other way without revealing something that was only meant for the dark recesses of his mind because the thing about Tomo’s bakeneko form was that it did make Lucas feel uneasy. It was an omen. When she ran off into woods almost a year ago… when she ran off into the snow a month ago, he wasn’t sure if that would be the last time he would see her. Lucas was never scared of her, he was scared for her. That gave him an idea.

“ He’s too feathery to eat. All those feathers we have are just from him shedding this past month. Lucas shook his head as the embarrassed color of his face started to fade. ”If you’re hungry I brought sandwiches, peanut butter. We should take a break anyways.”

“ Speaking of which, he gave me an idea… What if you’re the prey instead? Hear me out here. The paranormal is pretty normal here, right? We flip all that on its head. Clucker’s is now the monster, a man eating chicken. Even on Manta Carlos that’s pretty unusual. What do you think?” He asked, folding his hands in a prayer position over his mouth.

Offensive? Tomo raised a brow at that, and since Lucas slipped the camera away she didn't bother staying a bakeneko either and shifted back to her human form. Geez, Lucas was for sure taking this seriously. They were just filming this for fun, Emoore couldn't be so sensitive he wouldn't be able to laugh at a crappy film made by two kids. No matter how annoyed Tomo got by referring to herself as a kid. That was what she basically was.

"Sorry for not being scary enough then. Should I have blood dripping from my mouth or something? Nothing some fake blood can't fix."
Tomo shrugged, she honestly didn't really care if the film was offensive, she had just been looking forward to messing around with Lucas and hanging with him. She really needed it after her experience, and being around Lucas healed Tomo. She would never say that though, not in a million years, and just thinking about it made Tomo's face flush a bit, just like Lucas' was doing.

"If the feathers stopped me I wouldn't be a cat, now would I?"
Tomo said but nevertheless attacked Lucas backpack for those sandwiches. She found her prey, and ravenously began devouring them like the beast of the night she was.

"What I think? Well, I think...that you're a huge nerd."
And with that Tomo gave Lucas' forehead a light flick. She snickered and plopped down to sit on the ground.
"If anyone then you should be the prey. Think about it. An innocent, cute dog, roaming the woods, when suddenly the man-eating chicken attacks. No one wants to see a cute dog die, right? So what if it gets killed, but its guts get spilled all over and its a gorefest. Bam! Instant horror."
Was this just an excuse to get to call Lucas cute twice? Maybe, but shut up. It was a legit good idea.
Tomo flailed around with her hands a lot during this explanation, and when she said "Bam!" she slapped her hand against the ground. Little did she know there was a piece of glass hidden among the grass, and although she didn't notice at first Tomo began bleeding a bit.
