pride untamed
It had been a rough couple of days.
Cordelia had struggled in more ways than one since the news came. It felt like one matter after another. Vito and Klaus were gone. The eldest of the children were in a council scrambled together and had just barely taken their seats in their commands when another meeting came. The option of going with Angelo, to live like normal teenagers... The concept put heavy weight on her shoulders, and the daughter of pride had started to feel herself crack under the weight. Her usual output of pouring her frustrations with her school work but even then she felt the cracks go through her mind at a faster rate.
She sat in the kitchen still, her work having been pushed off to the side to try and get her head back on straight. The young woman felt like a mess, a mess of emotions and unmade decisions. She didn't want to fight with Shay - to run her off. The sharpness of her words had cut deep, especially since she had been fairly certain that her sibling knew about her insecurities attached to the subject of her own pride. The sin she had been born of that she always felt she lacked.
Cordelia stared at the cup in her hands, full of hot tea that had gone cold while she let herself wander in her rabbit hole of a mind. The demon's head flicked up to the sound of someone in the doorway of the kitchen. She stared at them with a blank expression, before speaking.
"You're welcome to use the food in the fridge and the pantry that doesn't have a name on it." She stated before going back to her drink. She made a face before standing up and pouring it into the sink. "Something or someone you're looking for?"
