Begging the light

Niyaz was seen as he perched upon the roof, as always laptop at hand while he coded something. It had been a long time since he had been at Starlight Academy and everything had changed so much. None of his old friends had stayed back and everything was changed. Niyaz was quick at adapting yet it didn’t mean he really like it all that much.

Raven blue hair covered amber eyes as he typed away, large earphones over his ear though no music was heard, it was mainly for the look than for the use. He preferred the sound of typing anyway. He shook his head lightly as he let his legs dangle from the side of the building. It was nice to be back.

The male was clad in black baggy jeans with orange lining and white tee, an orange sleeveless jacket being over it. Goggles were on top of his head and a leather band was around his wrist. Black converse were upon his feet as well. The male wasn’t much of an introvert to say the least.

As he was outside it began to pour, as it seemed a student was playing with the weather, making the male sigh softly as he put up the computer. Seconds after lightning fell not too far from him and he spoke up, s thepeaking to the lightning.

Shhh, you're going to hurt the computer. Calm down a bit, 'k?"
Surprisingly, the thundering and lightning recceeded completely and that rain calmed down.

Robin was in a bad mood.

She was supposed to go to the school nurse to tell her about her medication and all that rubbish, and the second the nurse found out who she was, she stopped being nice and started talking to her like she was three years old. And when Robin snapped at her just a tiny bit, the flippin' buttbag said she'd have to come in twice a week for 'monitering' instead of once. As if she didn't have better things to do then sit around while people practically begged her to punch them in the face. Idiot.
She kicked open the door to the roof, raising an eyebrow at the rain as if challenging it to bother her.

She stuffed her hands in the back pockets of her too-baggy cargo pants, slipping over to the boy sitting a few feet away and watching him, shifting her jaw back and forth thoughtfully. "The rain's going to kill him if you don't watch out," she told the boy, tilting her scrawny chin towards the computer. It was just drizzling now, but she didn't know how much a computer could stand.

Nah, as long as it's in the backpack it's cool. Plus, I can't go inside. It'll get ticked and electrocute my cables next time I come out. Fiesty little weather.
He said with a shrug, apparently being used to people just cutting into his thoughts. He grinned boyishly and looked up, being thankful at the rain for ceasing it's lightning. HE looked at the femme and moved his head to a side.

Niyaz.
He introduced himself, rubbing his eye in a somewhat feline way as he half expected her to reply with her own name. He never knew what to expect from people at Starlight, they could either be the friendliest people alive or the meanest, and they were always the opposite to what he thought they were going to be like so he just stopped judging. It wasn't good for him.

She thought about this, finally nodding and accepting his explanation. "There's a computer lab of some sort downstairs, I think. I saw it when I was trying to find my way up here."She wasn't exactly telling him - he probably already knew, being at the school so much longer then her, so there was the hint of a question in her tone. She sat down next to him, either not noticing or not caring that she was soaking her pants even more by doing so, as her eyes never left the male beside her.

She tilted her head to the side, poking at one of her canine teeth with her tongue. She couldn't decide whether to have a conversation or just sit there sulking...

Finally she held her hand out to shake, changing her mind and dropping it midway. "Robin." Her all around bad mood was starting to recede into a simple hatred for the nurse, anyway - they had a habit of doing that, she'd noticed, and rather quickly at that.

"I'm pretty sure one of the nurses thinks I'm going to kill her." She said, for no reason other then that it was on her mind. "Should I be mad at her? I guess it's fair enough; I think I'm gonna want to at this rate."

Yeah, that's how I get my wireless connection. But shh.
He said with a smirk and a mischievous wink. That he was calm didn't mean he wasn't forced to follow every rule. That was something the school administration seemed to not understand though so they had the tendency of overlooking or excusing Niyaz's misconduct. The male find such amusing yet he didn't complain.

He grinned at the femme and took her hand in his to shake. He was surprised, to say the least, that she had decided to talk to him being that she seemed to be radiating annoyance when she arrived. He wasn't one to complain though as he happened to like the company.

Heh, I guess it depends on whether you're going to try and kill her or not. The nurses here seem to be used to it by now, there always seems to be one or two students that have it after them.
He said with a boyish smirk and a shrug. It was true, a year or so ago the male had heard of one of the nurses actually dying. Thankfully most nurses had magic of their own but some other ones didn't really hold much of a chance against of a student if matters came to worse.

See it this way: she's probably weaker then you so by trying to kill her you don't really do much for yourself. He pointed out. It seemed that the fact of them speaking of murder really didn't seem to phase him.

She threw her hands in the air defensively, rocking dangerously far back. "Naw, that's not really my thing." She shook her head, regaining her balance and fingering the end of the concrete so maybe she'd remember where it ended. "I don't kill people, and if I did, it wouldn't just be a power play." She shook her head, a bit upset that she'd come off like that. She'd been around people who abused their power since she was born, and she hated the thought that someone thought she was like them.

"She's just..." She sighed, running a hand through her soaked hair. "She thinks I'm stupid, just because... And she's convinced I'm dangerous, which I'm not... So it's like she's condescending to me because she's afraid if she isn't, I'll get mad at all the big words and hurt her." Perhaps it wasn't something to be discussing with someone you'd just met, but the thought didn't even cross her mind.

She laughed, nodding mock seriously. "Yeah, weaker. I can use my power, and then she'll have two scrawny hundred-pound weaklings to plow through. I could never lose!" The nurse was short and skinny, but she had no doubt she'd be knocked on her butt before she could throw the first punch.

He was oddly comfortable with the subject; she noticed this for the first time, turning back to him and frowning. "You get a lot of student uprisings here?"

Niyaz smiled and shrugged, seemingly more laid back than he had previously seemed. He tilted his head to a side and laughed lightly.
Well that's cool. I'd rather meet some one that's not plotting to kill people than with one that does.
He stated, making it not too obvious whether he was joking or not, yet whichever worked for him. He was used to people with wild spirits running around Starlight Academy, and to say the truth he seemed to mostly not mind them unless they threatened someone he was fond of. He shook his head in a physical attempt to shakes his thoughts off as he looked at the femme besides him. It was nice to meet new people.

Well then that's her problem don't you think? Unless you want to befriend the nurse I don't think it really matters how she speaks at you. Besides, the fact that they baby talk you just gives you more material to laugh at them about.
He said with a wink and a grin, showing that he obviously was one to do that. Everyone had their rough moments at Starlight, and it seemed that not every staff member was as professional as they should, often putting themselves to the students' level to show a form of dominance, much like animals.

He heard her next statement and nodded as if he understood yet then shook his head.
Wait- What?
He seemed confused as he seemed to not fully understand what her power was.

He laughed at her next question and nodded.
Yeah, a lot. Some people are being forced to be here while others just don't care and do such wherever they are. We are gifted and they think they can abuse their power to get what they want. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
He explained.
