Roldan slid up to the bar of one of his favorite places. It was a gamer bar, and pretty niche, but the noise made it good for having a private conversation.

He ordered a local brew, something some Dwarf from another dimension made and sold to the local bars. It was strong, but really satisfying. He looked over at Tai, leaning on the bar and scratching his chin.

"So, yeah. Why don't you lay it all out first?"

Tai peered around the bar with one brow slightly quirked, genuinely a bit surprised he had never known there was a place like this around. It looked like a pretty interesting set up, all things considered; he hoped that they would be able to leave off this conversation on a positive note and actually enjoy themselves here.

Flicking his tail anxiously, he took a seat next to Roldan and just straight up ordered a bottle of mid-range whiskey, taking a swig and sighing. He could have sprung the extra cash to get liquor designed to get past his constitution, but in all honesty, he just craved the burn right now. "Lay it out? I mean...where to start, man? It feels like this shit's been going on forever now, and it's only been, what...a month and a half? Two at most? I've felt like a jumbled fuckin' mess this whole time."

Roldan took a swig of his beer as Tai started to explain and then kind of petered out. He rubbed the back of his neck and sighed a bit. "Alright... let me just. Sit tight and let me talk." Another sip.

"You met a girl. Kinone, right? And you hit it off. She's great, and you think you might be soulmates. Maybe not that intense, but I'm just laying out my hypothesis. You offered her a job as a kindness, and maybe a little selfish desire to get to know her better. And now? You've realized that this puts you in a bad situation. The complex maze of knives that is dating someone who works for you."

Roldan finished his beer and switched to some shots as well. Vodka for him. Drinking felt nice, especially with everything going on lately. "Alright so. Now you think you can't have both. And ya know what? Maybe you're right... Narraine and I- I thought we'd be together forever. But shit doesn't always work out."

"So anyway, now you think the best thing for you to do is sell off your business so you can be with this girl. But I'm gonna be real with you man. A girl you met a couple months ago isn't worth the business you've been building for years."
Roldan gave Tai a grim look, knowing he was probably hurting the guy with all this. But it had to be done.

"That about sum it up?"
