Mia was all sorts of excited and desperate. Ceidwen knew that level of desperation because she felt it too, even if she was better at hiding it.

"What's in power," Ceidwen commented when Mia said she wasn't the strongest or most impressive Goddess around. "I don't want muscle; I want you."

And then she was quiet as Mia rambled about making things work. Ceidwen took in the expression on her face and the language of her body. Ceidwen's heart hurt from it. She looked so lovely and innocent now.

Ceidwen feared she would ruin this, but Mia's enthusiasm was getting to her. She had fully expected Mia to hold her stomach in fear and run away. Ceidwen had been prepared for that and wholly unprepared for whatever the Goddess was doing now.

As her first order of response, Ceidwen leaned forward and captured Mia's lips with her own, hands caressing the other woman's face to deepen the kiss.

When she'd pulled back, she did so only an inch so she could stare right into Mia's eyes, her own clouded over in a mist of tears and passion that rivaled Mia's own.

"Maybe you're too optimistic fer yer own good, but I need a little optimism in me life."

Mia was only surprised for a moment by the kiss, before accepting Ceidwen's lips to hers. Ceidwen wanted her, and she wanted Ceidwen.

"Well, I have more than enough to share," Mia replied as they pulled away. She brought her hands up to Ceidwen's cheeks as they stared into each other's eyes. Seeing all that emotion in the eyes of someone who was often so stoic with such a strong presence…it brought Mia's own eyes to start misting a bit as well.

It would not be simple for them. It was clear to them both--but Mia was not ready to stop without really trying and Ceidwen clearly did not want her to disappear, even if she did give Mia the chance to. Plus, It wasn't just Ceidwen. Mia was quick to grow fond of Ceidwen's baby girl, Ravina. She wanted to stay in her life, too.

"Your Fae form is incredibly beautiful, you know that?" Mia said with a smile, leaning in to kiss her again.

The wanton desire was hard on Ceidwen. It was an automatic thing that she fed like this and knowing that had her pulling back far too soon.

Mia tasted good. Not in the usual sense that people said in romance novels. No, Mia tasted delicious. She was made of love. Adding that to her genuine affection for Ceidwen and Ceidwen's for her – it was pure bliss.

It was then that Ceidwen was struck with the realization of why her father had married so many women. Why he'd married for love. Why he'd killed those who had loved him and who he had loved in return.

And then Mia was touching her, and Ceidwen was glad that was more or less safe because she didn't want to tear herself away. To hurt this beautiful woman in front of her. She wanted more than anything to tell Mia she would never hurt her, but she couldn't lie, and she didn't know the truth of those words.

She grinned a little as Mia called her Fae form beautiful before leaning in for another kiss. Ceidwen hated doing it, in fact, is physically hurt when she put her hand on Mia's shoulder to stop her.

The strain was in her voice when she spoke, "you should, er, be careful with that. Touch is what lets me feed. Kissing and sex are... more. It – I don't want to hurt the babies or lose control."

And for once, Ceidwen felt ashamed of what she was. The same way as when she had to push Ravina away from her.

"Oh, right..."

Mia pulled back with a sheepish grin. There were new rules she needed to learn. Fae were very different, and Mia would not pretend that she entirely understood yet. Ceidwen in particular was unique--different from any other she had met. But she was willing to learn.

"But, I am a Goddess of Love. If anyone should be able to express affection without touch, it's me, right?"

She said it with a confident smile, but in truth she felt a bit...lost in the idea of not being able to constantly touch to show affection. For a long time, her love and lust sides seemed like the same thing to her. Love HAD to be all about sex. This would be very...different for her.

But maybe different was exactly what she needed.

“If the rules of love don't work for us, then we’ll just rewrite them.”

Mia brought her hands up to her lips, kissing the tips of her fingers before blowing toward Ceidwen.

“I’m sure this kind of kiss is alright, yes?” she asked with a grin.
