"That so? I will be mindful of such things thing." commented Prahka. As her people were still relative newcomers... such local knowledge would be invaluable. While she didn't expect him to have made the outfit himself, the belt and sheath is more than she expected.

"Ahead is the Skull Roost from which the Chieftess resides. Just follow me and stand before her. Don't feel intimated by the guard standing watch, my mom is probably the most terrifying creature in that room." warned Prahka as she guides him to Skull Roost.

They would then enter a yurt-like structure that hangs from the branches like an oversized ornament. Upon entering inside, one can see the skulls of larger monstrous beast hang from the walls, including at least 2 that seemed to have came from dragons. Around the room stand what look to be 12 statues made of bone but looking into their eye sockets reveal they are are in fact heavily armored harpies wearing bone armor which seems especially strange considering how little clothing most harpies seem to wear.

At the center of the room is namesake: small mountain of skulls, both large and small, delicately arranged atop of each other with an elderly harpy sitting upon it. This harpy looks very much like an ancient version of Prahka with their feather tips white and brown of her feathers less saturated. Though her face is heavy with wrinkles, age only seemed to enhance her allure like a fine wine. Though not fully covered in bone armor like the guards, she is adorned in even more skulls than Prahka and wears and exotic headdress of bones and feathers like a crown. As Prahka and Eein enter with Glade close behind, the elder's icy blue eyes shoot at them with the wisdom and clarity that could command the respect of even mighty dragons. Just behind old harpy is very colorful male harpy of pink, purple and blue plumage who seems considerably younger. He seems to stand back in statuesque silence.

"Ah... so you bring our esteemed guest to me. Thank you daughter... I trust she didn't cause you too much trouble for you Prince Eein?" quipped the old bird who then then gives Prahka a smirk which seems to ruffle Prahka's feathers somewhat.

"I'll done as you willed mother. Shall I leave him here with you and depart?" requested Prahka

"Ah ah ah! Do not forget your place child. He is your responsibility until he is finished with his tour. After all... we wouldn't want our Prince to get let lost trying to find his way out no?" spoke the Cheiftess with both of her brow feathers raising up

Prahka, then turned her head to look at Eein, then looks to the Cheiftess.

"No... I suppose not..." answered Prahka in a plain tone

"Then come sit with me while I entertain our visitor with answers for their questions." ordered the harpy.

Prahka does as she is ordered and takes a seat on the mound of skulls close to her mother.

"My... aren't you a handsome lad." cheekily remarked the old bird as she brings her hand together, looking down on Eein from her lofty perch "I do hope none of our females have given you too much trouble... my hatching included. Our females are known to fight to the death for promising males. But I digress... you speak with Helebraska, Cheiftess of the Skulltaker clan. You have came quite a distance to learn and understand the ways of the harpies. I may not speak for every clan but I nevertheless can speak with good authority on whatever questions you may have for me and my people."

The old harpy then holds out wrinkled hand as they gesture to Eein.

"So ask... what is it you wish to inquire young prince?"

Eein would shift to there human form as they entered the building, glancing around at the skulls and guards curiously before his eyes came to the chief. He'd allow his hostess to speak before he did. "It is an honor to Chieftess Helebraska," he'd say with a bow, "both to meet you and to see your clan."

He'd rise from his bow with a chuckle. "As for the females of the clan," he'd chuckle, "they have been respectable, Prahka has been kind, showing me the clan and answering my questions." He'd smile at his guide, she seemed slightly grumpy, but that was ok.

"Ah, yes, questions," he'd hum in thought. "My mother often spoke of the cycle of life, taught me to hunt, to respect the animals and the role they play in nature," he'd glance at Prahka, "very similar to the teachings of your clan, did she visit your clan often." He'd pause, "forgive me, I'm eager to ask questions, I almost forgot the gifts I brought," he'd slip his bag from his back, "would your guards like to check them first." If they checked his bag, they'd find a notebook, a large pack of dried meats and two fang necklaces. "I have meat I dried myself and these," he'd present one. "The necklaces are made from a hydra I hunted, one necklace from my generous host," he'd hod to the chieftess, "and a second for my guide," he'd nod to Prahka.

Prahka, though seated, observed Eein as if wary of his intensions. The elder in contrast, seemed far more relaxed with one hand supporting her chin while the other rasp the a nearby bone with its curved claws.

"Your mother was a friend to the Skulltaker Clan as was friend to all the other races. I'm sure your companion Glade over there could tell you. of several of these visitations as they were present for several of them." mentioned Helebraska as they make a swirling hand gesture to Glade before returning back to the subject on hand "Your mother was always concerned on matters regarding the dichotomy of nature and console with me personally on our insight on the matter."

"Similar yes but you mother has always taken wisdom and ideas from all sources. You should strive to do same. Still... it has been an honor to be the the first to receive you first."
answered Helebraska whom shuffles her weight to a more erect posture at the promise of gifts "Gifts you say? Rhmm... by all means you are welcome to present them."

Helebraska gestures for one of the guard to inspect the bag. The shambling, bonecladded harpy takes a look inside, then gives the elder a nod and returns to his post.

"A hydra you say?" inquired the old harpy as she looks to her daughter with a smirk "A powerful hunter he is... and brings meat which means he can provide."

Prahka just tilts her head, knowing exactly where her mom was getting at but does not say anything for it was not her place to speak.

"I accept you gifts. You may leave the gifts at the base of the skull mound. Prahka, hop down so that you may receive your gift from our guest." commanded Helebraska to which Prahka complied. Standing up, she makes leap makes controlled fall to the base mound. Once there, Prahka would lower her head and tuck in her wings as though expecting Eein to place the necklace around her neck himself.

"Yes, I've heard Glade's stories and greatly appreciate them," he'd say, "but perspective is important, so one day I'd like to hear the stories from your perspective." Perhaps an odd request, but it was something he wanted. "You knew my mother as a visitor, was she different from the other visitors?"

He'd set the gifts, looking to Prahka and slipping the necklace over her head. "Thank you Prahka," he'd say with a nod and a smile. "You're guidance was appreciated." He knew she was likely ordered to help him, but that didn't make it any less helpful.

Eein would turn back to the chieftess. "I'm told that discussion for group hunts have started? I would like to join on such a hunt if that is allowed, and I know the woods well, where game can be found, as well as which game is the most challenging, I imagine your hunters are seeking to test their skills?"

Prahka gave Eein a nod and then a bow as lower one leg and outstretch her wing in graditude. She then hops her way back up the skull pile and reclaims her seat.

"Alora has always been more sympathetic to our culture and traditions. In fact they were one of the champions of our cause to the right of hunting small game even with space on the colony so limited. Hunting is both sacred to and central not to just our clan but to all harpy clans. Its about the one thing all clans are united on." recounted the old bird

"You have been told correct. While some have started the initiative of solo hunting, there have been calls to resume coordinated group hunts. Particularly by our youngster." the Elder clacks their claws together, considering the offer that Eein was proposing "It's rare for an outsider to be allowed to join in on hunt. Ordinarily I would decline but... as you know these forest better than ourselves and proven yourself capable by slaying a hydra... I'll allow you to assist us as you will prove invaluable help for our untested hunters."

This announcement came as quite a surprise, with Prahka, the colorful standing close to Helebraska and even a few of the guards giving the elder a questioning glance. Each however regain their composure and voice no objection.

"When the time comes for the group hunt, we will call for you. However... might I interest you take my daughter Prahka for an excursion into deeper the forest? She is an able huntress and proven herself being the first to bring a noble stag to the clan since the flight from Esteria. Yet there is still more for her to learn and would like for her to be more familiar with the more sinister forces that may lurk within those dark depths."

"I believe many could learn from you and your clan," he'd say with bow, "many have forgotten their roots, forgotten the places we hold in nature and the importance the animals hold." He was liking this clan, some things were alien to him, but so many of their beliefs were things he agreed with.

"When the time comes I'll be there to aid in the hunt," he was actually excited to join in such a thing. "You honor me," being able to take part in such a culturally important thing was indeed an honor to him. "We shall bring home food for the clan."

The request to take Prahka on a hunt surprised him. "Again, I'd be honored," he'd look to Prahka, "I'd love to take her into the forest, to show and teach her of it, if that's her desire." While the fact that the chieftess was trying to pair then up as mates hadn't occurred to him he did know that she was trying to get Prahka to do certain things, so he wished to give the young harpy a choice.

Helebraska gave Eein a nod as she looks back to her daughter.

"Well daughter, do you wish to accompany the prince to venture into the forest and scout it out with him?" questioned the elder.

Prahka looked to her mother and returned a nod, then looked to Eein.

"Yes I accept and shall accompany Eein into the forest." stated Prahka in a neutral tone.

"Excellent. Well Prince Eein... there is much that you can learn here. There is much I can tell you but one does not learn by merely listening. You want to understand the truest essance of the Skulltaker clan... I suggest you visit the Skull Hallow, our most sacred place." Helebraska then gestures to Prahka with a clawed hand "Prahka can show you the way when you wish to visit. If you have other questions for me... then but ask."

He'd nod. "We'll set a time to go into the forest, I am free tomorrow if that us acceptable," he was actually excited to show the harpy around the forest, it was his favorite place. "I have much to show, the forests here have much to see," hunting and dangers, he planned on showing her as much as he could.

"The hallow?" he'd hum in thought. "Perhaps a visit there should come first then," visiting it sounded like it would be quite profound. "A sacred place, if it can teach me much I'm honored to be allowed to see it."

He'd nod to Prahka, "when you're ready." He'd turn back to the Chieftess and would bow, "thank you for everything, with your permission I'd like to visit again, your clan, it is truly something special, and I wish yo learn more." He hoped a royal dragon visiting would make the other races look more kindly on the harpies.

"You may return whenever you wish. You are welcome any time" the elder nodded her head dismissed the meeting with a wave of her hand

Prahka then leaps and glides over to Eein, making a perfect landing just in front of him.

"Follow me. I will show you to our Skull Hollow. Be wary not to touch a thing while within the hollow." warned Prahka as she starts leading the way.

As she shows Eein the way, she looks back and asks.

"What are your thoughts on the Chieftess?"

With a nod Eein would follow his guide out. "She's a strong leader," he'd say with a thoughtful hum, "but also welcoming, and I can tell she has a kindness in her." The dragon had been impressed by the chieftess, by the harpy clan as a whole.

"On my next visit I'll discuss introducing her to the leader of the ice dragons," he'd say with a nod. "They're the dragons my father is from," he was quickly being surrounded by beings in powerful positions, some of which were actual royalty.

"So, the hallow.....it is a special place?" he'd ask as he followed. "The chieftess spoke as though it is the center of your community," it was an honor to visit such a place, but he was curious about it. "How many non Skulltakers have seen it?" he'd ask curiously, "how many non harpies?"
