"What do you mean, if fostered correctly? Are you saying I need some kind of teacher to be any good?"
Wait a minute...did Judas want to teach him?

"Through practice, through battle, through killing, that is the path to power. The forbidden zone is a good place to start, full of vampires and beasts and such, amusing area."

Maybe this is overdoing it a bit.
Chris had never meant to kill anyone. What was the point?
"You mean people who deserve to die, right? Murderers and criminals and all that? And vampires. I can do vampires."

Judas smiled wryly.
"'Deserve' to die? What an amusing concept. All are equally low and high, all are equally meaningless. The difference between killing a sinner and a saint is absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things, though if killing vampires would make you feel particularly charitable, surely go to it, it's great practice, trust me."

Chris made his decision.
"All right. I'll go. But I'm not killing any students, okay?"

He stood up.
"But trust me, when I think I'm strong enough, I'll ask for another fight. And I take training seriously."

And with that, Judas Anderson began to simply float away.
