The Battle was set. 20 combatants would square off in a simulated urban environment. The goal was simple, be the last one standing. In this particular match, the rules would be different this time. Multiple classes of powers would be allowed to compete. For those of the weaker variety, defeat was almost assured, but for anyone brave enough to bet on them, the chance for a big payout was higher. As a fail safe to prevent anyone being turned into red mist, Death had been disabled by means of an enchantment on the arena itself. As a final means of evening out the odds in the slightest way, all immortals and indestructibles could be removed from combat if they received too much damage, meaning that anyone could win if they managed to put enough rounds into someone.
Abigale waited in her starting point. Standing beside her was her yellow bike. She wasn't in any sort of combat gear, nor did she have any noticeable weapons. It was known by most that she didn't have any sort of power either, which was probably why her odds were so stacked against her. That didn't matter though. She wasn't intimidated, after all, she had a few tricks. From somewhere above her the sound of the announcer could be heard revving up the crowd, introducing the fighters and explaining the rules. She smiled as her name was mentioned. It was always exhilarating to hear them call her name, even if it wasn't for a win.
After a few moments, the announcer started his countdown. 4... 3... 2... 1... FIGHT!
The countdown was followed by a loud blast, and the sound of combat already starting. apparently, some of the competitors had started close to each other and been already duking it out. Abigale could hear an assortment of gunfire and strange noises that she assumed were power related.
"Alright, time to start" She whispered quickly as she climbed on the bike, and flicked a switch that caused it to suddenly shift forms. In a few seconds, it rebuilt itself around her taking on the form of a vaguely humanish machine, with her in its center. Each mechanical hand held something reminiscent of a machine gun but with large drum magazines. These guns would be almost entirely useless against the indestructibles, but hopefully, the rate of wire would be enough to allow her to beat at least one.
Before she could actually start looking for other fighters, one found her. A large muscled fellow, with skin that reflected the light like polished steel. He was running at her, making a great deal of noise as he did. If he wasn't careful he might get hit by someone else if he kept charging around like that.
((So this is an open battle thread. Rules are pretty simple
1. No deaths
2. Anyone can be beaten
3. all powers aside from indestructibility or overpowered defense are allowed
4. Jump in wherever
5. Have fun! ))
