After who knows how many warnings Agnes had finally bothered to go out and buy electric drums, that she could play with headphones without bothering anyone. Bel had pretty much gotten used to Agnes beating the hell out of her old and worn drum set but the other people living in the rooms around them weren't. So today Agnes had fished out the savings she'd been able to hoard and get out of her room during the day for once. Agnes had no idea if she had eough money, guess she'd see when she got to the music store.

Agnes was wearing a black hoodie with long sleeves, the hood drawn over her head. The sun wasn't out thanks to clouds but it was chilly, and daylight was still bright for Agnes' vampire eyes so she had her sunglasses on. And, as always, a pair of dark red drumsticks was sticking out from Agnes' back pocket. She never went anywhere without them.
Agnes walked her hands in her pockets, and she had a shoulder bag that contained her UV umbrella, in case the sun came out, and wallet and some other additional crap. Even Agnes wasn't sure what was in there, her bag was just as cluttered as her dorm room.

Agnes reached the music store and stood in front of it for a moment. At first playing drums had been a way to get the rage out, before her depression had settled in and made Agnes numb. Now, thanks to some therapy, Agnes was getting slightly less numb. But even during her depression Agnes had kept playing drums, even though there was no point. Agnes hadn't especially cared about drums aside from liking rock. But here she was, wasting her time and money to buy electric drums just so she could keep playing them. It was weird, but Agnes couldn't imagine not playing drums in the future. Agnes didn't know what she was going to do with her life, or what she was going to be in the future. But she knew she wanted to keep playing drums.
Agnes sighed and entered the store. Better just get this over with.

Agnes walked to the back of the store, ignoring a clerk that came up to her, to see the drums stacked back there. The prices were ridiculous, Agnes would have to save money for 5 years to get the most expensive set. But as she circled over to the electric drums the prices lowered, and Agnes saw a set she could afford. It looked flimsy, like blowing on it could knock it over. It was set up on a pedestal, kinda like a small stage, and Agnes circled it a bit with a thoughtful frown on her face.
"Would you like to try it?"
Agnes turned around to look at the clerk she had ignored a minute ago, she had a pleasant smile since one rude customer she could easily handle. Agnes raised an eyebrow at her.
"I can?"
"Oh yes, certainly! The volume can be adjusted in this model, although the store is quite deserted at the moment so it does not matter in any case."
Agnes puckered her lips slightly in thought before smirking and dropping her bag on the floor. She went right up and climbed on the pedestal, planting herself behind the drums. She pulled her drumsticks from her pocket, tested the drums were on and began playing an insanely hard drum solo she had been practising. She wanted to hear how this tiny set could handle it. Agnes wasn't paying attention, but as she played the clerk looked impressed, almost amazed, as she listened to Agnes play. But Agnes was in the zone, drumming her heart out. This set had quite the decent sound.

Weather a black, worn leather jacket, some leather pants that looked as old as she was and a pair of patchy sneakers, Dhalia blew the remnants of smoke from her purple lips and flicked the ashes off her cigarette with her thumb. The woman sat on the curb, hunched over a little from the cold of the day creeping over her. Her eyes settled on the music store which she would be visiting relatively soon enough, just as soon she finished her cigarette.

She had brought the black stick up from her side to the corner of her mouth pulling in a huge drag. The nicotine addiction was strong and she inhaled a deep amount as the stick burned brightly at the end before flickering off into a dull ember. Opening her mouth, she blew once more having the dark cloud of smoke disappear into the wind. She stood up and shoved one hand in her pocket, the other casually flicking the cigarette into a puddle of rainwater.

She noticed a person walking towards the music store entrance, she let out a wild yell to stop said person before the door closed in, "Hey! Hold that door!" Dhalia's voice was pretty loud, but the hoodie wearing person probably didn't hear her. "Shit, shit." She cursed twice in a row doing a mild run which was hard enough. As soon as she was about to step into the walkway a car came pulling out and nearly splashed her from the nights previous downfall of rain. She chewed on her bottom lip before her flaming red hair danced in the breeze, her fist in the air with the middle finger pointed towards the sky, "WATCH IT CREEP! YA NEARLY RAN ME OVA!" The rebellious woman growled and stormed across the street towards the entrance.

As she got closer, she could feel the warmth within the building. It felt nice after having to sleep in a little box the other night in this cold, ass weather. Her eyes moved about as she entered, flicking side to side. She needed new guitar strings but had very little money, she would have to find another cheapo pair or something as her E String was on its last life line. She entered smelling like leather and smoke, she ran her hand through her long red hair, ruffled it a few times as her shaved scalp felt the warmth of the heater in the store.

But noticing that the building was alive with some intense drumming. Earlier she had spotted that black hoodie and noticed the same person, now seen as a female was hammering down a good pocket rhythm on the electric drum set. Dhalia wasn't too fond of electric drums, the sound of acoustics felt much more raw for her style, but this chick sitting on the drum throne was nailing it.

With a wide grin on her face, the woman looked up and watched with as much amazement as the empoyee, "Damn girl can play!" she said with a louder voice. Crush was nodding her head to the rolling beat of the Tom-toms. She was quite impressed. And after having several people call her away because she was just a solo artist, maybe this pale chick wanted to start a project or something, couldn't hurt to ask.

So she waited till the solo ended, stood to the side and smiled broadly, "Damn! You were in the zone on those. Hey, my name is Dhalia Crush! Nice to meet ya! I was wondering, are you currently working with anyone at the moment? I myself am looking to start a project or something. It's so freakin hard to be a solo musician, everyone is singing bands and shit. I figured I'd give it a try. I am a kick ass vocalist and I play the guitar pretty well, but I mostly focus on the songwriting and shit. You look pretty young, still in school and whatnot? Anyways. I'd love to just jam with you if you are ever not busy, ya know?"

Agnes finished her set, and took a needless breath as she came down from the high she had climbed to. Damn, playing drums really was the best feeling. Even beat sex. But as Agnes finished she wasn't left much time to come back to earth. Some woman with red hair and a leather jacket, reeking of smoke, launched into a monologue by the drums and Agnes almost missed the first half of what she said, she was kinda out of it. Agnes blinked and took off the shades she realized she had left on. In the bright lights Agnes squinted at the woman, who had named herself Dhalia Crush. That sounded like a fake name. And she was talking something about...a project? Like, a band or something? Was she asking Agnes to join a band? It was pretty hard to tell since the woman basically shared her whole life story. Agnes stood up and removed herself from behind the drums, stepping in front of the woman and looking at her.
"So, what is this? Scouting or something? I mean, I don't care particularly, I've been wanting to play with people, but if you want me to play pop or country or other shit like that it's a big fat nope."

"Ahh! You got me sister! I am so down with the Yee-Haw and Twerking, its all I ever do. Pffffft!" Dhalia gave Agnes a brow slap to the shoulder a she laughed. There was no way in hell she would be caught singing and playing along to some honky-tonk music or whatever.

"Nah. Do I seriously look like someone who would be interested in that kinda shit? Naaaaah. Ya know? Anyways, yeah, if you feel like jamming we should hook up. Were you doing some shopping today? Checking out the drum sets, huh?"

Dhalia was pretty excited, she was smiling big, showing off her mostly white teeth but what got to people most was just her loud and palling behavior. She didn't really like being a Bitch, but sometimes it was a necessary for formula x. She ran her fingers fingers through the long streaks of fire red hair that faded off into an orange, much like a flame you would see. She didn't have anything on her worth much either. Her leather jacket was even kinda falling apart with many patches and a horrible stitch job across the left shoulder. But it was hers.

The girl coughed silently, her black nails chipping off as she shoved her hands into the deepest part of her jacket. She swung her body back around to face Agnes, "I guess you've been playing for a long time, yeah? Same too. I've been singing since I started screaming coming out of the womb! Been blasting my vocals ever since then." A big sharp smile on her face, Dhalia prided herself on her monsterous vocal capabilities, but people were too damn close minded about her lyrics.

"Have you checked out the acoustic drums? They have some big sounds when you starting hitting that double bass. I just love it when you are out in the crowd and you can feel that heaviness in your chest, and your yelling your guts out through your mouth or running into a frenzy in the mosh pit! That shit get's be so hyped!"

Damn, this woman loved the sound of her own voice. Well, suppose she couldn't help it if she really was such a good singer like she claimed. Well, Dhalia did Agnes smirk a bit with the jab at pop and country. The woman really didn't look like she was into those genres, but you never know. As she slapped Agnes on the shoulder she barely moved or reacted otherwise physically.
"If a 7-year-old can like death metal then a chick who looks like she was ripped out from a rock album cover can like Carly Rae Jepsen, no?"
Agnes shrugged, and put her shades back on. She did pull off her hood and her long black hair fell along her back almost to her ass.
"As for hooking up, you got a phone?"

Agnes didn't really know where to start answering Dhalia, what did she even want to know?
"I got to get a set that I can play silently, since I live in the dorms. People's patience and understanding, and ear drums, can only take so much."
Agnes leaned down to pick up her bag and swing it on her shoulder. She absently said to the clerk that she'd take the drums, and with a patient smile the woman left to fetch an unopened box from the back. Agnes sighed a bit and also swiped a hand through her hair, it wasn't nearly as messy as Dhalia's. It was straight, slick and deepest black you'd ever see. Even blacker than the hoodie she had on.

"Started at 14, played about a year, took a 2-year break, started again little over half a year ago. Been playing non-stop since."
Agnes said, explaining her playing history in a nutshell. Agnes hadn't played that long, but she played a lot and she had natural talent that helped her cultivate some mean drumming skills. If someone were to describe her they'd say Agnes was a diamond in the rough. Agnes didn't really comment on Dhalia's own story, but it did seem like she had been born screaming. Her voice was loud. Not that Agnes minded, she was used to a lot of yelling. And at least Agnes could hear what Dhalia was saying,
"Wasn't born banging drums though. But I hear I kicked. A lot."

Agnes wasn't familiar with the feeling Dhalia was describing, though she made it sound awesome. Agnes just knew the high when you got in the zone, the feeling of success and accomplishment when you played a set just right. But Agnes had never played for people. Sure, sometimes people heard her play, but Agnes didn't play for them. Only for herself.
"I've ever only played acoustic. This is my first time playing electric. Didn't feel as satisfying though."
Agnes said and shrugged.
"And I've never played for an audience."

Dhalia didn't know who this Carly Rae person was, but she pretty much knew looks could be deceiving. Although she was more blunt and upfront about what she liked. If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck then it was a duck. The numerous tattoos on over her body and the flaming red, punk haircut was more than enough to show people she was a Bad Ass Hard Rockin Bitch. Agnes seemed like a chick with a good head on her shoulders though, she was gothy pale like some kind of Vampire or something, even her eyes were pretty red looking before she put on her shades.

She looked cool, she had that really laid back vibe goin' on, and she had hair of the blackest black times infinity for days! Dhalia definitely could see her behind a kit and slamming down some awesome tracks live and in studio, but she said she was still in the dorms which probably meant she was a younger girl. That was cool, if she could at least practice a few times a week and had time to play at some clubs, they really could get a project going.

"Well, hell. I don't really have a phone. Hahaha, if I ever need to call someone I just stand up and shout their name or something!" It was kind of embarrassing, Dhalia didn't exactly have a place to call home, she just slept wherever she could put her head down for the night, possibly in a practice room or someplace. She rarely slept anyways, she was always just humming or screaming out some tunes.

"A friend of mine has practice space downtown that he lets me use when he's not using it. Maybe you wanna come chill out with us? We can stop by your dorms and drop your electric drum set off and then we can head back out to the Practice Room. I mean, if ya want? I can give you the address and you can just come by whenever you want. He's got some extra equipment and I don't think he'd mind if we beat on his drums either."

Dhalia didn't want to push her luck, but she was pretty stoked about finding a drummer of all days here in the music store. It wasn't planned or anything, she was just coming by to do some window shopping. Little did she know she was going to be shopping for a drummer who was legit as Agnes was.
