Hadrian blinked when he saw the club, lights flashing, music blaring, they were just at the entrance and he was already surprised. In truth it a rather low level club, easy to get in, people didn't care about your age, but it was definitely new to him. Manta Carlos was very, very different from his home.

He looked to Noelle, his odd new friend, who dressed in odd clothes and dyed her hair an odd color, odd but still his friend. He'd flash his usual cute albeit shy smile, "thank you, I haven't had time to explore the city much." As they walked to to the entrance he remembered something, "I...uh..got you something," reaching into his coat, he pulled a mask from it, it had a green color scheme like her hair, but with a spiderweb design. "A late Christmas gift," he said handing it to her.

Once they were inside, his golden eyes looking around at everything. The music, the dancing, the bar it was all new and different, and he found his curiosity blazing like a fire, he wanted to try everything. "Wow...different than the formal parties from back home," he said with a small chuckle, "I've never seen anything like this before." @Kathinja

Hadrian was...an odd one, to Noelle. Not someone she normally would have spent much time with. Not to mention an Angel. She always kind of assumed angels would be the most boring people on the island. But, well there was something about Hadrian that drew her in. She couldn’t really explain it.

Not only that, but he was curious. Adventurous. Not what she expected from an Angel at all. When he said he was interesting in checking out a nightclub, she was floored.

So, she took him to a club.

The club was pretty lenient about how they let in, but she knew they did card at the bar. But no worries—she hooked Hadrian up with a fake ID, and of course she already had one herself. It was a good ‘starter’ club, she felt. A good place for him to get the feel for clubs, and whether he’d like going to more or not. She was curious to see if he’d enjoy it, or find it overwhelming.

“What? You got me something?” She blinked, surprised. “Geez, we barely even know each other…”

She was surprised by the mask. He had…surprisingly good taste for someone who had probably never even seen cyber goth fashion before.

“Wow, thanks man. Even goes with what I’m wearing right now…”

With a grin, she pulled her mask off and replaced it with the new gift. She left it dangling from her neck for the time being though—she knew she would be too muffled and hard to hear once they went inside the club if she kept it on.

Now she felt weird she didn’t get him anything, having not really thought about it. But, showing him a good time at his first club could count as a gift, right?

Once they were inside, she handed him his fake ID.

“Let’s get a drink first. First one’s my treat,” she said with a big grin before dragging him over to the bar.

She liked the gift, that made his smile a bit brighter, maybe a little embarrassed, he hadn't had friends in a long time, he couldn't even remember the last time he had one. "Just something to thank you for bringing me here," he had a big heart, a kindness and tenderness that had been considered unusual back home, something unwanted by the war oriented angels of the outpost.

He slipped the fake ID into his pocket, luckily his height often made people think he was older, he knew his sister would be incredibly upset if she found out about this, but his curiosity had won out. "You're gonna half to pick them," he said chuckling as he was dragged toward the bar, "they didn't have any of this back home."

Once they had their drinks, he'd look at his a little curiously, he'd never had alcohol before, or anything that could really affect his state of mind. Throwing caution to the wind he downed the fruity drink in a single go. The angel blinked once the drink was down, he wasn't really sure what he'd been expecting.

“You’re a dork,” she said with a laugh—not meaning to insult, but just being playful and teasing him.

Noelle was just lightly sipping at her drink, when she glanced over to see Hadrian practically inhale his.

“Holy crap!” She said, before laughing. “You’re supposed to drink it slow, not all in one go! You just went real hardcore, huh?”

Not one to be upstaged, Noelle pounded down her own fruity drink. Oh she was gonna feel that hard later, but tonight was about chilling out and having fun. It’d be fine. Probably.

A fox girl with two tails sat besides Noelle, clearly familiar with her.

“Hey you,” she said with a toothy grin, before nodding over to Hadrian. “Who’s the new guy?”

“I got an angel to go clubbing with me. Wild, right?” Noelle replied, nudging Hadrian’s shoulder playfully.

“You get them every once in a while—the rebellious ones,” the fox girl replied, smiling over at Hadrian. “You a wild angel, or are you just dipping your toes in?”

He blinked a few more times before chuckling, "yes I'm realizing that now." His smile didn't fade though, no he was having fun, "I uh....it's not a bad thing though, we are supposed to be having fun afterall." That drink was going to start affecting him pretty soon, things like alcohol can't hurt him long term, but he could still get drunk.

"A wild one?" he laughed a little, he felt different tonight, less shy, like he was letting some of his anxieties go. "Well....I grew up on a military post so...I guess this is a military leave in a way." He hadn't gotten far enough to directly serve as a soldier, but he'd been trained, and would have been forced to join in a few years.

"So....not yet," he laughed a little, his taking on a bit of playfulness, "but I'm getting there, it's about time I had a bit of fun." Over time he was realizing he had a choice here, he didn't have to be the soldier his parents had wanted or the failure they viewed him as.
