- Azucena is not magical (or so she thinks), until one day when she suddenly became a celestial guardian.
- Azucena is adopted. She does not know who her birth parents are and has always believed that her parents were her natural biological parents. She still struggles with the idea that her parents are not her true parents, and wonders if it is not some elaborate prank her parents are playing on her. That said, she has enlisted the help of her parents to help her find her find her birth parents.

Azucena in her celestial form becomes taller, 5'8. Her hair also becomes black blue and short pixie cut with striking violet eyes. She also wears a dark green forest green hunters garb.
- Her theme is the forest, nature. She goes by Elowen in her Celestial Guardian form.
- Unrecognizable - When transformed, they are unrecognizable from their natural form upon meeting.
- Weapon Summoning - Her weapon is a staff.
- Weak Power - She has the ability to move unseen or unheard.
- Peak Form - Guardians have heightened reflexes and agility, though it never surpasses the peak of human limitations and is only a few degrees greater than what they're already capable of in their natural form. Guardians feel full of energy when in their Guardian form.
- Tough - They are more durable than the average human, their bones are less likely to break and their wounds are less likely to be severe in natural. A fall from the top of a building will hurt them but will not critically injure them. If they are sick or disabled in their human form, their Guardian form is completely free of such complications.
- Guardian Sense - All Guardians can sense the presence of other Guardians when in Guardian form within a 50 foot radius, though not exact coordinates or direction. This helps them maintain territories. They can also sense whether someone/something is an evildoer/abomination upon meeting them. If a Guardian is to be culled, Guardians have an enhanced ability to sense that they are a Marked Guardian in either form.

Azucena is Tomas's Del Bosque's child. Her mother, Iris Sands, was one of the poor unfortunate souls who decided to borrow money from Tomas. She could not pay the debt and was kept for his pleasure for a few weeks where he sodomised and beat her.
When Azucena's mother was let free, her debt fully "paid". She soon found out she was pregnant, and not wanting to abort, but patently refusing to let Tomas - considering him a true monster - know about his daughter's existence, she decided to give her child up for adoption.
When Azucena was born, her mother sealed her powers - afraid that she might have inherited his magic and might be found that way somehow, and then quickly disappeared from the island altogether.
