Okay, as to the emo thing, I listen to a lot of emo music and I HATE Ohio is for Lovers. Completely degrades emo people. If you want true emo, listen to Bright Eyes. They don't think the world hates them at all. It takes a while to get used to that band, but they're good. Conor Oberst's (the lead singer) voice is a bit weird, but it's good.
Blech, Simple Plan.....annoying to the max...
To the max? Since when did I say that? Lol.

For some reason i find this discussion hilarious. :huh:

I've never heard of avenged sevenfold, but that's no surprise. I really don't listen to much music... ;_; In fact, I only listen to three bands. Beatles, RHCP, and Paul Simon.

How sad am I? Very sad. *cough* Ooh, and just to be on topic... Bah! [insert label here] is soooo stupid/awesome!

lol. i guess no one knows about a7x. but music is my life, so yea lol. so hows good charlotte not emo then? i mean benji says their punk rock and all, but emo would describe them 2, no? i mean, have u heard the young and the hopeless for one?

I assure you, GC is not emo. I would never classify them as emo.
And yes, labels are a good bit annoying. I don't really catagorize people most of the time, like....I don't call people emo. Just music, because' it's a genre.
Ian, maybe you should stop think about stupid stereotypes and make your own opinion.

I do have my own opinion that is led by the stereotyping. My opinion: From the share of emo I have heard, it is about how much they do not like their lives. 95 % of my school is emo, and I have talked to emo kids. You cannot honestly tell em that emo kids aren't sad about life, because happy people do not cut their wrists 'Well not all emo's cut their wrists!' So? emo is emo, the music sucks and I personally enjoy my life very much. I speak only from personal experience with emo kids, really, in real life, I try to have nothing to do with them at all. Yeah, I understand that not all 'emo kids' follow typical emo behavior, but they still listen to emo music which is still whiney and pathetic...

must I go on or is that specific enough of an opinion??

You know what really bugs me? Preps who cut themselves, I mean come on! That is pathetic, they're only trying to be cool and it's not.
So what is people cut themselves? i'm not sayign whether I do cut myself or not, cause that'd be pathetic.
But there's this wanna-be-goth at my school, and she cuts herself cause she thinks it's cool, and she does it during class. Everything she does is to try and get attention, hopefully I don't go to her college.
