Aswan gave a sharp nod at his question. "Yes, indeed - I need to sustain concentration in order for my abilities to work at optimum condition... Yet, and this is very confusing - when I am flustered or otherwise stressed, my invisibility does tend to fluctuate, particularly in the arms and face. I have next to no data on the subject, but it is worth investigation." And there she was, on another rant. Granted, it was a scientific rant... kind of... Ah. She supposed it didn't matter right now. "I would be glad to share more with you if you'd like!" She clearly loved talking about this... "Ah! Also! If you know any ghosts who would be willing to exchange contact and/or data with me, that would be splendid." A smile, less sharp and more genuine.

Raphael hummed thoughtfully. Her powers sounded like a double-edged blade, if he was understanding it right: she needed her full focus into using her powers to be able to use it for her advantage. But then any sort of emotional distress could trigger it? "Sounds familiar I'd say," he mused aloud. As far as he knew, it was the same for him. He had an aura on him, but if he tried to focus enough, he could use it to his advantage; on the flip side there was that one time he remembered blacking out. His memories couldn't give him anything and his dad wasn't any help either. "My powers apparently work two ways, but I don't really remember ever having lost control." It was no lie: he didn't remember, but the possibility was still there. His dad just wasn't mentioning something to him.

Anyway!

"I'm very curious though! I'd like to hear more. Most ghost-related things I've heard are half-made up -- I'm kinda curious how it's like from an actual ghost's perspective." Raphael smiled at her, almost as if the thought didn't seem to have surfaced at all. "I don't think I've run into anyone other than you, but if I do, I'll make sure to let you know. I'm sure a lot of them would be willing to share things with you."

""It should - most powers I have researched are of that ilk, working like that." she remarked, nodding at the thought. "I'm glad you see you are curious though. Expanding your knowledge of powers is always a fascinating topic. Ahem. In any case." It was all she could do to not rant again, not to go on and on about her own experiences. No, that would take too long. A smile replaced her thoughtful look as she nodded. "That would be very nice. I would love to share data with them. Perhaps, another time, I might share my observations" She suddenly remembered the whole reason they'd been trekking around the school - finding his classes. This whole conversation was illogical at best. However, much to Aswan's surprise, she didn't mind that too much. Raph was friendly, and talking was fun, to say the least. "Ah. Are there any other classes you need assistance to reach?" She asked, stopping and kneeling down, slinging her backpack around herself. Unzipping the biggest pocket, she checked each dog-eared textbook and note, and then glanced at a nearby clock on the wall.
And gasped. Nearly five minutes until class?!
"AH! Apologies, but I need to go, now. My newest class is about to start, and I, of all people, am never late. Never." Aswan stuck her head up high, proud of herself. Not late. She'd only done that once. "Ah. As a last note, if you need assistance with school subjects, I am trying to organize a study group. You are welcome to join, if you'd like."

It wouldn't be a lie that he liked getting praised for showing interest but he'd never say it aloud. In any case, he was honest about said curiosity. He felt like it would be a way for him to understand all this magical things about himself and also around them too since... he and his dad were probably going to stay for a very long while. He doesn't know until when but it was some knowledge he could use for himself.

Raphael hummed for a moment before shaking his head, "Nope! None that's on my schedule at least," he replied though... he wasn't all too sure if she'd heard everything from that look on her face. He could have guessed what that look was for knowing her schedule now. Such a busy girl. Well, he'd taken her time asking her for directions after all.

He gave her a toothy smile, "Well, I suppose that means it's off for you to go," he emphasized. "A study group sounds like a great idea! Just a sec--" Raphael scrambled to get a pen and note from his pack as quick as he could. (A sticky note? Hm, good enough.) Quickly scribbling on a number on it, he signed his name with a smiley face before handing it over. "I don't want to hold you up so.. contact deets. Just in case?"

Raphael decided not to say anything more, just pointing finger guns at her as he made a couple of steps backwards. "I'll see you around then Az! Take care on your way to class!"
