Personality Description:

• Polite - Asai is a well mannered individual and will not act rudely to anyone. He always answering with "yes sir", "yes ma'am", "yes young miss" and "yes young sir" no matter who it is. He will never act ill mannered, or threateningly unless ordered otherwise by the one he ultimately serves. He also extends all words; "I'm" is "I am", "won't is "will not", etc.
• Expressionless - Polite tones or no, he does not express emotions. His tone remains monotonous and deadpan, he's always got an unreadable expression and very rarely, if at all tells or shows anyone how he's truly feeling. Expressionless may be, but he is in no way emotionless. He just has his emotions buried very deep within, having been taught right from a young age that emotions are pointless and are not to be shown.
• Loyal/Obedient - He's as loyal as man's best friend - even more so. Asai is loyal to anyone and is willing to protect everyone who needs protection. He will not disobey any orders and is generally very obedient following all commands no matter how big or small.
• Blunt - Lacking expression and for the most part any form of expressed emotion, Asai can be very blunt, even when being polite. If you asked him how you looked he would tell you.
• Intelligent - He is rather intelligent and can be a good teacher to almost anyone. He is observant and remains alert and assertive. He may lack expression, but don't let that fool you. His thought processes change to work for those he serves; villains, heroes, citizens or otherwise.
• Quiet - Unless responding to commands, answering question or the like, he is usually very quiet. Eerily so. His attention being divided to remaining alert, protecting others etc make his quietness even more eerie, usually giving people a foreboding sense, and keeps most people away from him.
• Determined - If he has a set goal in mind, he is determined to achieve that goal. He will try to go about his tasks without harming others, but if it must be done, he will do so by any means necessary.
• Composed - Asai is well composed in confrontations, he remains calm and handles himself in a cool and calm manner. He will not act temperamentally or let his emotions or lack thereof get in the way of his decision making. He will not make excuses for doing anything wrong.
• Methodical - Asai follows logical thought patterns and will come to a logical conclusion. He will not choose sides or let preference get in the way of thinking through situations. He is always thinking through things, right from morning activities through to night.
  
  Powers: Asai was an experiment, he had three metal blades fused to the bones in his hands to function as retractable blades. The blades are roughly 17 centimeters from the knuckle and about 9 and 1/2 centimeters from the tip of his middle finger. He has full control over the blades. He never uses them however, unless he is protecting himself or others from danger.
  
  Biography: Asai was born like any other child, human, only he was born in a secret facility and named Experiment 17. Ever since he was young, he was taught to express no emotions, no matter how much he feels them. He was also trained in militaristic forms of fighting. Experiment 17 showed promise in fighting, however he never had full control over his emotions. They would lock him away for hours, even days on end until he learnt to control his emotions. As he gained control over his emotions, his fighting prowess reduced because he fought using the emotions he felt, so when one was reduced the other would fall out of balance.
  
  Experiment 17 was five turning six when he was experimented on and given the blades. At first he could not control them, and he was terrified of using them, but he was forced to on a day to day basis. His military training in it's entirety wasn't just combat, but also resistance to poisons, pain and remaining awake for long periods of time. What he went through as a child was horrifying. He still feels pain, but just doesn't show it unless you apply pressure to his experiment number and start inflicting the pain you wish to, then it becomes unbearable for him.
  
  After everything, he was finally perfect. Nothing could go wrong. He was eight, he could fight, had control over his blades and emotions, he could kill without hesitation. He was ready to become a secret weapon. And when he was being tested for the final time, in front of the military commander, Experiment 17 had shown weakness, hesitance. He couldn't kill the person in front of him. They had done no wrong and Experiment 17 was confused as to why he had to kill someone innocent. The lab professor was given two extra years to prepare Experiment 17. The first extra year progressed well, however the end of the year found that while Experiment 17 had more control of his emotions, he was still reluctant to fight, so by the age of ten, he had been trained in etiquette, only he wasn't taught to read or write properly. He could read basic things like labels and basic application format, and he was sort of able to write, only it came out half printed half cursive and it was only basic words such as his name and basic information. If he was going to continue his reluctance, then he would be trained as a mere servant that doubled as a secret weapon.
  
  When the military had returned and received the report, they were unimpressed. They were expecting a fully trained, fully operational and obedient subject to add into their ranks. They were disappointed to say the least, where the military as a whole were concerned anyway. The military commander had called through the line of command above him, reporting that the experiment had failed in terms of being fully controllable, however he was trained in hospitality, and could serve as a family butler for the head of government.
  
  Five years in service without reading or writing was proving difficult for the government family, plus his lack of expression and conversational skills made it hard for anyone to talk to him if they so wanted. Experiment 17 at this point renamed Asai Kokoro (meaning "Shallow Mind" in English) was enrolled into Starlight Academy by the government.
