Mimosa sat on the roof, looking over all the grounds and beyond. The lake shown beautifully in the sunset, even though it was now frozen over.

She was overtaken by thoughts of Judas. They'd just begun their relationship, and she only hoped it would continue. But she was worried...

Judas told her not to, but she couldn't help it. She knew something was troubling him, and as an empath, she was a slave to the emotion of herself and others. Maybe he's trying to protect me because I'm empathic...or maybe he just doesn't want me to know...

Suddenly, she became very aware of someone feeling embarassed behind her. She turned to see a tall skinny boy of her age, or around it. He was kind of dorky looking, but not to the point where he wore his pants to his chin and a pocket protector. She'd seen him before. What was his name? Niel? Nigel...?

"I-I'm s-sorry..." he stammered, "I didn't mean to interrupt y-you. I-I-I'll just leave."

He turned to go, but she called to him. "No, no, it's okay. I'd prefer company. It might get my mind off of things."

She saw the hesitation, and could feel him pulling. He walked towards her, and sat down. "Mimosa Bird," she stated.

"N-Nielle Sole," was his responce.

They sat for a long time, saying nothing. Waiting to see if someone showed up...

Chandler walked along the balcony after talking to Aletia. He wanted to see the other side of the landscape. He came across a bench filled with two people. He noticed that one was a bit dorky, and the other was in deep thought.

He looked very different compared to both of them, I guess you could call him gothic. He hated being called gothic...but he knew that that's the category he was placed under. He walked along the rails, and looked down at the two people sitting on the bench.

He sat down next to them, and let out a sigh as he looked at the mountainside.

"Thoughts..." He said quietly, not exactly looking for a response. "They always fill our minds to the extent of which we don't even know what to do about them. Am I right?"

Nielle jumped, having not noticed the somewhat gothic kid behind him. He turned to get a better look at the guy.

Mimosa stayed still, having sensed his presence. "Without thoughts, life is just a pointless, hurtful idea, doing no one good. Without thinking, we hurt the ones around us, even if we only meant it for the better. So you could say I prefer my thoughts to mindless wandering." She sighed, setting her elbows on her theighs, and clasping her chin in her hands.

Nielle stared at Mimosa. Deep. "Erm, yes, I suppose," was all that came out.

Chandler exhales loudly.

I guess you're right.

He turns his head, looking at Mimosa. He extends his hand towards the two on the other bench.

Chandler Ross!

Mimosa acknowledged his hand with a nod, but did not shake it. "Mimosa Bird," she said in a light voice, filled with very little emotion.

Nielle shook Chandler's hand, grinning a little. "Nielle Sole," he piped up.
