This was Earth. Sasha had been here a few times, although, like this time, she was on business. She was tasked with carrying a piece of equipment from Satellite Academy to the main academy grounds. This was likely a ploy by her teachers to get her to go and spend time on Manta Carlos, as it would have been simpler and more efficient to simply have a factory model worker bot deliver it.

“A frivolous endeavour. Tourism, while useful for gathering monetary assets, is a wasteful venture for a non biological being such as myself. However, tasks given by my superiors are meant to be followed. {Continuing Directive}” She thought to herself, passing into the courtyard. The green plants that decorated this planet were vastly different from the hard metal of the station, though if she were to say which she liked more, the clean surfaces of her home would win out in the end. When one compared looking at flora to gazing into the expanse of space, it should be simple to come to a conclusion on which is better.

“Home is best.” She resolved to herself once more, nodding confidently. A movement out of the corner of her vision caught her eye, forcing her to freeze up cautiously, stuffing the small package in her uniforms shorts. {Alert mode engaged} {Beginning Observation} {Scanning target} lines of data flooded through her mind, her vision zooming in on the small creature.

“Target identified as lagamorph, genus lepus, common name: Hare. Unusual white color indicates genus lepus othus or lepus arcticus. Alternative explanation, target exhibits albinism.” She identified, moving onto the targets most defining feature, “Antlers indicate supernatural creature, common name: Jackalope.” She finished, {Target identified safe creature} {Alert level lowered to Cautious} {Designating target:Cute} Her code updating based on her scan of the creature.

Almost all thoughts of the task she had been given had been pushed down the priorities list by the event, leaving one idea in her mind, “Fluffy. White hair. Cute.” With those types of thoughts in mind, she initiated her active camouflage, rendering her invisible to both visual and thermal detection, carefully approaching the small creature. If it were to use its keen hearing, it would likely be able to detect the android.

She
Jacky was sniffling around the courtyard before she heard someone walking around. She wasn't too concerned since other people often walked around in the courtyard. Including Sam.

She knew where her companion was, he was lying facedown not that far away. Exactly where she left him. She was just trying to pass the time other than sleeping. She paused with her scrounging when she swore she could hear someone coming closer to her.

She kept completely still, her ears twitched as she listened as carefully as she could. There was definitely something coming towards her. She looked in the direction she thought it was coming from to see nothing there. She began to hop away, mostly out of caution since she could still hear something moving towards her. I should go to Sam, at least...

Just as Sasha was about to grab it, the jackalope hopped away. “Target has means to detect camouflage. Optimal strategy: discard full stealth tactics, instead remain camouflage and give chase.” She reasoned, getting down into a picture perfect starting position, although nobody could see it.

As if a starting pistol had gone off, she ran at the creature, taking off at a full on sprint, not fast enough to be considered superhuman, but faster than any human would be able to maintain for very long. This was no issue to an automaton, which stamina presented no issue towards. It would easily be able to outrun her, although it would be extremely difficult to tell where exactly she was coming from by sound alone with the amount of time it would take for her to reach the animal.

She
Jacky was still hopping away, going towards her companion. Then she didn't even need to be that careful to hear that something was indeed coming towards her. She wasted no time in waiting to see what that was, so she shot off.

She didn't pay attention on what direction it was coming at her, but was just going right towards Sam. If whatever is chasing me saw him, maybe they'll leave me alone? Was what she thought. So, she kept her speed and headed towards Sam.

Her target had indeed detected her as she has thought they would, and continued in the direction it had scampered before. “Optimal use of surprise: Quick takedown.” she analyzed, taking one giant forward leap towards the creature in a tackle, predicting her flight trajectory as to not land on the things antlers.

She reached out in front of her, grabbing the creature and lifting it off the ground by its midsection, holding it so it couldn’t scratch her, as well as it wouldn’t get hurt. Sasha herself however, slid face first along the grass, slamming her head into something soft. She didn’t feel pain herself, and any incurred injuries could quickly be fixed at the maintenance department at the SOS, so her own safety wasn’t a huge concern unless it was life threatening.

Disabling cloaking, her waist rotated around, allowing the android girl to jump to her feet without letting go of the fuzzy creature, her body rotating to match her legs once she had gotten up. Her face was covered in mud and grass, however her outfit had remained relatively clean. There was no need to worry about the contents of her pocket, sealed in an extremely durable case. What mattered now was that she had caught it. She held the jackalope up.

”Pleased. Cute.” She said in a soft, perfectly monotonous voice, her tone showing no change in emotions. She stared at the creature for a short bit before realizing something. Her head spun around 180 degrees to look at what she had run into, a male student.

“Concerned. Are you alright? I am sorry for my mistake” She stated calmly, her body turning to face the same direction as her head. Even without seeing her rotating joints, her appearance and speech pattern made it very clear she was not a normal human.

She
Sam was faceplanted and just lamenting life while he was once again skipping class. He had saw Jacky hop off, but neither cared or was concerned.

That was when he heard something coming towards him. From the soft thumping, he was guessing it was Jacky. He groaned. But then something heavier than the jackalope slid right into his side. He immediately winced.

He twisted around and sat up, his goal was to look at what bumped into him. The problem was he couldn’t for a few moments. He looked confused then he saw her.

He slowly blinked, his mouth slightly agape. This person wasn’t human, was most certainly not acting normal, and was holding his jackalope. “What. The fuck?” Was all he said in response though.

Sasha tilted her head looking at the boy confused. ”Fuck; used in various phrases to express anger, annoyance, contempt, impatience, or surprise, or simply for emphasis.” She said, looking up the information off of the web. “I am sorry to have offended you. I was attempting to chase this small animal when I ran into you.” She said, holding the jackalope against her chest.

“I am ID#5754, Model: S.A.S.A., Common designation: Sasha. I am a student at Satellite Academy. It is a pleasure to meet you, Samuel Fowler.” She introduced herself, matching his face to the internet to identify him. “I am a specialized security android developed for the Starlight Observation Station, equipped with advanced scanning capabilities and cloaking technology.” she explained, extending a hand after securing the jackalope in her other one, holding it from above to prevent escape.

She
Sam stared at Sasha, his jaw dropping as she spoke. He had so many questions. Why is she speaking like that? Why does she think she's offended me? What the fuck is a Satellite Academy? HOW DOES SHE KNOW MY NAME?!

However, Sam does not immediately jump into these questions. No, he goes for two things. "Ok, so. You're a robot? And can I have my jackalope back?" He said as he stood up, brushing any dirt off his jeans and hoodie. "I... really have not had enough coffee for this..." He mumbled to himself.

“Ah, this is your pet? I am sorry to have mistaken it for a wild animal.” The android said, lowering the creature to the ground and releasing it, using her now free hands to wipe her face off, revealing her petite features in more detail.

“Although robot is a general term, if that is what you wish to refer to me as, then yes, I am a robot.” She clarified, bowing respectfully at a perfect 45 degree angle, “Do not be afraid though. Although machine uprisings are a common sight in today's fiction, me and my brothers are made purely for security purposes, and pose no threat to your safety.” She followed up, standing upright once more.

“Caution while taking in large amounts of coffee, and other such caffeinated beverages is recommended, as substantial amounts can cause insomnia, headaches, and even irregular heartbeats, all of which are detrimental to one's mental and physical health. Being safe is a two sided coin, and many living creatures have been known to only focus on external threats, and neglect their own internal health.” She explained upon hearing his cry for more coffee, misunderstanding the scale at which he intended to drink more. Steam puffed out of the robots ears, along with a loud ringing sound, causing her to open up her abdomen, revealing a small disposable cup of coffee.

“Provisional supplements are not likely to cause too much difficulties. This is a recommended dosage if one has already had a cup. Please, enjoy this at your own leasure.” She said, preventing the cup to the boy. If he were to take a sip, he would notice the incredibly strong bitter flavor.

She
Jacky immediately hopped away the moment she was set down and took to standing just a bit behind Sam. She's usually quite friendly, but with how forceful Sasha had been in picking her up had set her on edge instead. She watched Sasha warily.

Sam's nodded while doing a 'so-so' hand gesture. "Kind of... we're just kind of stuck together." He was kind of surprised to see Sasha's features after she wiped her face. He could almost relax, if it wasn't for the very jarring image he saw of her twisting her body around earlier. He did have to suppress a groan though when she started talking about the dangers of coffee.

Then the second jarring image got imprinted on his brain as he watched Sasha make coffee and offer him a cup. He took a noticeable step backwards, which Jacky copied to keep behind Sam. "Um, no thank you?" He tried to sound polite but it wouldn't be hard to tell he was disturbed.
