He'd chuckle when she wiped the paint on his nose, or rather on the bandages which covered his nose. "Guess paint isn't just for the canvas," he'd say with a smile.

Getting a little more on his finger he'd dap it onto her chin. "What colors do you think will look good on my?" he'd ask jokingly with a small laugh.

They probably looked really silly, maybe a tiny bit crazy to some, but he didn't care, they were having fun.

Her giggle grew more into a laugh as she dipped her brush into some of the blue on her palette and brushed a little spiral onto one of his cheeks. "I think you'd look good with that." She declared with a smile.

"I might need to try a few colours before I figure out what's really good, though." She added with a cheeky wink.

He'd laugh. "Well.....we are here to experiment with art," he'd say with a small grin. "Gotta figure out what colors work best together."

Rowan would dab his brush in some dark purple and would paint a circle on her chin. "I think dark purple looks really good on you," he'd say with a small chuckle, adding a dot of purple above each of her eyebrows.

She went back down for some yellow this time, twirling it in along with the blue. She brushed her hair behind her ears and horns to keep it out of the paint on her forehead. "I think it might be fun to see how you look with more bright colours, what do you think?"
She was really, really having a good time now. This was going even better than she expected.

"Artists choice," he'd say, leaning in a bit to give her better access, "whatever colors you wanna try." He was smiling, a genuine happy smile, not the ones he sometimes forced to make people think he was ok.

He would get a bit of dark yellow and would paint small arrows under the corner of her eye. "Yellow, purple and orange look good on you," he'd say, then drawing an orange triangle on her forehead.

"Maybe I need to get new clothes, then." She said, switching over to a bright pink and adding in to the swirls. She changed colours with every stroke, but just kept adding on to the same pattern as it stretched more and more across Rowan's face.

He'd do the same, adding more color to the shapes he'd drawn. "Maybe we make better canvases than....well the canvases," he'd say with a chuckle, getting the triangle as large as he could, but made sure not to get any paint on her hair.

Rowan would finish his additions, chuckling a bit at his work. "It looks cute," he'd say with a smile. "We might have to do this again sometime," he'd say with a grin.

"So, how do I look?" he'd ask, curious about the colors she'd added.

She took a step back to get a proper look at her work across his face- practically a rainbow Starry Night at this point. She nodded and gave Rowan a thumbs up, grinning. "You look great! We should take a picture together!"
She pulled out her phone, opening up the camera and quickly standing over next to him, holding it up to get the two of them in the frame.

"Sure a picture sounds nice," he'd smile, letting her take the pic. "Text it to me," he'd say with a chuckle and a grin, "it's....this had been the most fun I've had in a long time."

"Thank you Mal," he'd say, genuinely grateful.

He'd turn to look at their paintings. "How about you have mine?" he'd offer. "I don't know how great it looks but...," he'd smile, "I'd for you to have it."

"Great!" She snapped the picture and texted it to him, putting her phone back in her pocket. She grinned wider at the suggestion. This might have been the most fun she'd had since coming here.
"Yeah, that would be awesome!" She said excitedly. "You can have mine, then! We can swap!" She suggested before gasping, suddenly being hit with an idea.
"Hold on, I gotta add one more thing!" She quickly walked back over to her canvas and pressed her face into the blank space in the middle, rolling it across to get an imprint of the paint on her face on it.
